HIDDEN FEES - DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!
HIDDEN FEES HIDDEN FEES HIDDEN FEES No matter what you do, do NOT live here. If I could leave negative stars, I would. I could write essays on how awful this place was, but I'll give you the spark notes version. -You are charged $3 for every single package you get delivered. -You are charged $30 (might be $35) for putting your trash out before 6pm and/or not picking it up before 9am. -You are charged a couple grand when your lease ends. (In my case, a little over 2 grand...) Charges you can expect to see: Clean move charge $60 (regardless of you hiring cleaners or deep cleaning yourself), paint $107 (also this isn't in the lease anywhere that you can expect this charge. also, most apartments do not charge for paint.), and a bunch of random ones like a new stove (I have pictures that it was in perfect condition so they can go right ahead and try). -Maintenance. They come in at least 10 times a month for random things. One month, they were drilling holes in the ceiling above my tv and that dust got everywhere and inside my expensive tv. They did not clean up after making a mess doing whatever it was that they were there for, and one time, they even broke a picture frame I had on my wall. The maintenance staff is friendly, so my plight is not with them. This is the product of terrible management. -Not a safe apartment. The set-up of the stairwell and access is open style. -The customer service is god awful. The people who work at the leasing office and main office are beyond unfriendly, unprofessional, and incompetent. -It is so loud. Prepare to never sleep again. The apartments facing Louisiana street and Elgin street cost the same as those that are inside facing (facing the pool). They go for the same price, yet those facing the street are WAY worse. You will never sleep with sirens and engines revving.) DO NOT believe a single positive review you read. Positive reviews are paid for. Pearl apartments is across the street, live there. It is WAY better in every single way. The rent is a little more every month, but after all of the hidden fees from Calias apartments, it ends up being cheaper to live at Pearl (aside from the fact that it's way nicer). My biggest regret so far in life, is living at this apartment place. I could write a lot more if I had the time. I will leave you with this--consider living in a cardboard box above living here.10/6/2022
