I move out mid July after a stay of about 4 years. They started charging whatever way possible. Take my case, few months back they started a new ACH deposit for Rent pay. I thought that is a good thing, did not know that they have a way to make money out of it. Here is what happened: I paid my rent online on 2nd (3rd is the last day for payment), and their system accepted and sent me a confirmation email too. I thought everything is good. After 10 days, i was sent a notice saying insufficient funds in my bank. My bank account was never below $5000 in the last 2 years, I showed them my bank statement. They took another 2 days to figure out what happened, and charged me $150 late fee. You know the problem they said was one digit in my bank account was wrong while typing on internet. How in the world ACH deposit takes 10 days to figure out if there is any problem with the account number? For the delay in their system, they made me pay $150. Now a new scheme started with Comcast whether you want it or not(btw you can only have Comcast, no AT&T Uverse or something else), and pay $40 per month for basic 15 or so channels that you get with basic service. If you need digital channels pay more to Comcast. I spoke to Comcast on this subject, they say most apartments give it as a complement to the renters. Every time while renewing, they do free steam vacuume. Last time when we renewed, my wife was not feeling well, and so delayed steam vacuum. When we were ready, which is after a month or so, they said they cannot do it because it is over 15 days time. That is the courtecy they have for a resident staying in the apartment 4th year. Carpet in our apartment is over 5 years (i think it is over 6 years). Our request to replace carpet was also denied. If you arrive late in the night after 9:30 or so, you will have hard time getting parking place, may times i ended up parking on the side of the curb, or park far from my apartment.
