DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! MGT IS BAD and I was ATTACKED

Please do not move to this apartments. They are unsafe and the property manager is very unprofessional. My boyfriend and I signed a lease about a month before moving in, and we got a good feeling about the place. But, that all changed the weekend we started moving in. While moving in we saw a drug deal going on in the parking lot and other sketchy people. That Saturday we moved our stuff during the day, and were returning at night to stay for our first night. Someone followed us into the apartments.(Who knows if he lived there, or knew someone who lived there.) As my boyfriend and I were walking up the stairs to our 3rd floor apartment, a crack head with a knife chased up the stairs. We filed a police report, but knew there was no way I could stay there after that. I didn't feel safe, and couldn't do it- mentally, physcially, or emotionally. We went to speak with the Property Manager to let her know about the incident and talk about our lease options since we didn't even stay there one night ever!! She was not in, and was suppose to follow up with us when she got in. She never called, and we actually had to schedule an appointment with her! Wouldn't she want to speak with us to know about the crimes that are happening on her property? When we met with her, not one time did she ask how we were doing, express her concerns for what happened, or ask us how she could help us. She was not the least bit concerned about hearing our story. She said she had already heard it from the leasing agent, and that they could not make any exceptions for us concerning our lease. I didn't even know that there was security cameras until reading these reviews. She never offered for us to look at those to identify the man or speak with the security guy. She pretty much said you guys have to pay $3000 dollars to break the lease and there is nothing we can do about it or try to help you. This is $3000 on top of the $1000 we already paid to not even stay there one night!!! After the events that happened to me and how it was handled by management, I would never recommend anyone to live here and I knew that I could never return after speaking with her. If management were professional and handled the situation properly, my review could have been different. Because, I do understand that crime can happen anywhere, but it happened on their property and that means they need to deal with the situation. As long as this guy is still out there, all residents are still in danger, and if they care about them they will take the security measures to protect them. I will never wish what happened to me on anyone, but maybe if they knew what it was like to run for your life things would be different. All I want to do is move on with my life and get over this nightmare, but the Reserve at Woodwind has made that very difficult.
