I've been living here for several years, and I've been watching this place going down. It's getting so bad these two years, I would've moved out already if I were not leaving Houston in six months.
The first year I lived here, everything is good, but after the current management (merion realty) took over this place, everything changed. First, they raised every charge, including shuttle bus and laundry facility, sometimes secretly. The washers and dryers they installed are so problematic that some of them can never read your card, and some of them will charge your card $5 when it's supposed to be $1.25.
The parking is getting worse and worse. It's usually hard to find a space after 9pm. The worst thing is, if you park in certain area, there is a higher chance that all of your wheels will be stolen. In the past year, there were several incidence of car break-in or wheel stolen (the latest one just happened two weeks ago!), but the office rarely (only once) notified residents about the safety issues. Why do I know this? Because two of the victims are my friends, after they reported to the office, the office did nothing.
Outdoor lighting is terrible! It is always very dark at night. I even saw some people using flash light when they walk their dog at night.
There are two elevators broken in my area, one is even dead for almost six months. The office chose to ignore it and claimed they were waiting for the parts. I guess the parts are delivered from Mars.
The worst thing of this place is the manager in the office. Yes, the manager. The way he talks to people is like he is superior to others. I even witnessed he raised his voice to a resident in front of all the other people in the office. After interacting with him several times, I couldn't believe why Merion realty would assign him as a manager, especially when most residents here are just ordinary and reasonable people working in the medical center.
Overall, I do not recommend this place.
