There is 0% chance of renewing my lease. I originally leased before Brompton was managed by another company and Merion took over. I renewed an additional year thinking that things would get better.
Well, they didn't. My apartment got broken into during the day, and the only thing the apartment staff could tell me was, and I quote, "I'm really sorry to hear that. These things happen." Not to mention that after getting a monitored alarm in my apartment and notifying 3 different managers, maintenance kept trying to fill work orders when I wasn't home, and nobody but my alarm company would notify me that they were there. Then THAT resulted in "Well, you can just give us your alarm code." Uh, no thanks.
I'm not going to renew my lease, and am not going to replace my stuff until I do move. Management told me 'these kind of things are rare' but a search of incidents on HPD's website shows anywhere from 1-3 burglaries a month in the complex. They don't even issue crime notices to keep people on alert.
