My girlfriend foolishly moved into these apartments. The complex is NOT in a good part of town. She's had at least one attempted break-in, and the apartment notified the tenants of several armed robberies in the immediate area -- some presumably within the complex. She's been whistled at and yelled at by large groups of unsavory characters on multiple occasions. I cannot stress enough how unhelpful the staff has been and how little they care about the safety of their tenants. I bought my girlfriend mace and a baseball bat after my first visit, and visit often to ensure her safety. He Entrance Gate Was Always Malfunctioning. & Worst of All the Office Employees Would Promise to Deal With All the Problems But Never Would. If You Feel the Need to Live Like Scum, By All Means RENT AT Brompton Court APARTMENTS. But If You Want To Live & Be Treated Like A Respectable Human Being, By All Means RENT ELSEWHERE. Courtesy patrol is a joke. There is only one here during the day and what he just sit all day and DO NOT DO ONE Thing If you have noisy neighbors you are just out of luck. The gates provide NO increased security. People can drive right in after the person ahead of them. Then they got new washer/Dyers and the Price gone up from 75Cents to $100 for both and now you have to use a credit card to use them. They are liars I suspect that Brompton Court APT. spent half of their budget on the leasing office, because the buildings are in terrible condition; do not be fooled by the pictures. My girlfriend has fought unfathomable tick and cockroach infestations; cigarettes, trash and chicken bones are strewn throughout the complex; and did I mention that the complex is unsafe' this Place was Built in 1971 and it is very old and it is Falling apart. I am ASK YOU ALL PLEASE READ THE REVIEW Before You Moved in any apt even Brompton CT APTS. And everything is all the TRUTHS .. You will see Extra Charge on your Bill and they all Just RIPPING YOU OFF BIG TIME. They will tell you there to make Money.. And they will CHARGE YOU EXTRA $$$$$ on your Bill. It all the TRUTH. They Really DO NOT CARE they here to make $$$$ if you Set your Trash outside the Door for few min they will CHARGE you $25.00 Remove FEE they will not Remove it they will Fine you for it. And For the maintenance staff if you do not have any Trash outside your door they will let the Management, know they will make a LIE to them.. And one more thing if you come in from the Gate there is about 2 or maybe 6 cars waiting to get in. they will Follow you in behind you and the Management, Will NOT Do anything about it. WATCH OUT! It is well laid out and looks nice. Maintenance is done regularly and the buildings are well kept. However, the security situation is rapidly deteriorating. We are getting more and more apartment break INS and robberies, and all the apartment complex is doing is sending out emails saying "be careful." None of that compares to what just happened, though. One of my neighbors got held up at gunpoint when he was walking to his apartment from his car during the weekend. He went to the apartment management and asked them to send out an email warning so people would be careful. They told him sorry we cannot inform anyone about it, and just said that a man was approached by two suspects who asked him for money. At the gates there about 5 or maybe 7 cars waiting on the side to Follow you in after you drive up to open the gate it very dark it only have Few lights in the parking lot but not that much it really dark at night. Yeah, I don't think being held up at gunpoint is the same as two guys coming up to me and asking for money. I won't be renewing, which is sad. I like the apartment but we not Safe and everything is now falling apart. Just wish that security didn't completely suck. I don't like wondering if my apartment is going to be broken into every day when I leave for work. When Rockwell sold it to Merion Realty Management, LLC That When the NIGHTMARE START. I am asking you please do not move here it very bad with the new Management, they will take your Money from you and they Charge everything on you when you moved in. if you leave your Trash outside for just one min they will fine you for it and the Water bill Change one month it about $25.00 then it will jump up to $40.00 the next month. They will tell we here make money and they will Try everything that they can do take every Dime from you after you sign a lease with them. It the Truth I see everyone moving out I had seen about 10 moves out in the same month because of the Management, Also, watch out, they like to really hike your rent costs when you try to renew.
