I really enjoy living here, and it is the staff and maintenance crew that make it that much more enjoyable. I read through some of the other reviews, and I really am clueless as to where such animosity comes from. I moved every year of undergrad because of my unhappiness with the apartment complexes that I decided to live in. I moved to Brompton Court a week before grad school started three years ago, and I could not be happier with the location and the amenities (hence why I have yet to move). The medical center area is one of the safer areas inside the loop. For the cost of all the locations in the surrounding area, this complex remains the most reasonable. They are very pet friendly, and the small dog park is a great place to meet other dog owners and make friends. I couldn't appreciate more the convenience of a less than 15 minute drive into downtown (minus heavy traffic times which are completely unavoidable), to local bars, to multiple grocery stores, school, work, food and entertainment and to any major highway. It's nice to live somewhere the puts Houston at your fingertips for a great price. It is true the apartments are older, but the grounds are always well manicured, constant updating of all the common areas really brings the place to life, and anytime I need something fixed in my apartment, maintenance always responds immediately (mind you I have only needed to maintenance maybe 2 times since I have lived here). You are given the 24 hour maintenance phone number, and most staff members live at the complex and all are more than happy to help you when you need it (on duty or not). I experienced a personal situation that required me to move apartments, and management was swift and very generous in assisting me in the transfer to a different apartment within the complex (seeing as I was in the middle of my lease). Everyone wishes they could live in brand new loft apartments right on the edge of downtown overlooking the city, but not everyone has a money tree growing in their backyard. This is a great place, especially for college students or young families, that will give you the safety and security you need in a nice place to live, a community of people you can relate to and befriend and an opportunity to explore Houston and all it has to offer without sitting in traffic for hours and blowing all your money on gas trying to get there. I recommend this place to everyone I can!
