I have lived at some pretty awful places but this one takes the cake. I have only been here since this January 2014 and have typed two pages for this review. If you are really considering moving here please take the time to read all of this. We are having to break our lease its so bad. They only care about $$ and will raise your rent like crazy. AVOID this place at all costs. These apartments will be filled with ------------ and run down in a couple of years. There are better deals out there. Moving in: I had chosen the day that I wanted to move in and booked my freight time with Brompton Court APT. . After booking freight time I scheduled with the movers. Two days before I am supposed to move in the apartment complex calls and says that they have double-booked me and that I will have to move in another day. I had to reschedule the movers, take time off of work, and move in a few days earlier because of this which of course cost me more prorated rent. When I arrived on move in day and the scheduled time I was informed my apartment wasn t done yet. The actual apartment: After moving in I noticed a number of things wrong with the apartment. The first, there are no lights in the living room or bedroom which you don t notice when you walk through the model because it is daylight and you don t look at the ceiling. So, you better have lamps if you move in. The second thing that I noticed was the missing stopper for the shower. I went downstairs to talk to Debbie who told me You should have one of those, I will call the maintenance guys and they will bring it to you today. A week passed and I still had no stopper. I went back to talk to Roger who informed me that they had to order another stopper and it hadn t come in yet. But then, a little light bulb went off in her head and she said Oh, well why don t I just have them take it out of an empty unit and bring it to you? REALLY? You are just now thinking of this a week later? Genius. Then I tried to cook my first meal at the apartment and found out the oven was broken. I didn't t have an oven thermometer so it took a couple hours and some ruined chicken to figure this out. Did they not test this when the previous tenant moved out? The next thing I tried to do was hang my TV in the living room like a lot of people do. I had my dad come over to install it the right way we used anchors and big screws just to find out that the screws literally slide right out of the wall. Upon discovering that, I put my hand on the wall and pressed VERY LIGHTLY the entire wall bows, shakes everything on it and the sliding doors. Yeah, that makes me feel safe. Then you have the balcony on top of us literally falling to pieces I have found large chunks of concrete on my patio and you look up and can see where it broke off. The doors are not made the right way or something because a bath mat will fit under half of the door but not the other half? The doors stick and sometimes it takes all the strength you have to pull it open. The blinds are extremely cheap and break and fall down when you aren t even home. The bedroom window leaked water every time it rained a lot of water. They had to have a company come out and fix the whole building and I received an email stating they had finished their work and it was fixed. Three days later it rained and still leaked. The maintenance men have come in my apartment several times without notice to fix the shower drain because it was leaking in the unit below me and it is always messed up. Elevators: Elevators are slow and are always broken. Laundry: Why in the hell do I pay $1,200 a month for a 600 sq. ft. apartment and THEN still pay to do my laundry? There are maybe 10 washers and 10 dryers for 800 units. They are always full, they always break, they always leak water onto the floor. Your clothes will take 2 hours to dry and will come out with lint all over them no matter how often you clean the dryer. I spend $18 a week doing laundry. And you have use a credit card to wash and dry and beware you will get ripped off when you used your credit card...... The point is when I moved in and I quickly realized that was not the case. If it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to break my lease and get out of here, I would have been gone 2 weeks after moving in. DO NOT waste your money here you will regret it. Keep looking you can call BBB they took them off the List and add them as BAD Management. And One more thing after someone lease is up they will go up and this is the Truth NO ONE Really Do not stay here they moved out when the Rent go up. And they will NOT negotiate at all. and I try that and they told me they do not do it at Brompton Court Apt. And you wonder why your Light is so high the Air Vents need to be clean out and Bromton court REFUSE to Clean them out the air vent... to much Dust..... Again when your lease is up they will NOT WILL NOT NEGOTIATE ..... Two of my next door neighbor just moved out few month before I did. because of the Rent gone up and they told them they will not Negotiate so they moved out and one of my neighbor just moved in a year a go and now she have to start al lover again with a new place they gone up on her rent $100.00 more.... Some place I had lived they go up $20.00 for a Rent increase and they will Negotiate. But At Brompton Court they will not do any NEGOTIATE.. And Management if you reading this There NO POINT for me to come and talk to you and the Damage is Done it over and you all very Sloppy and do not care....
