Moving out ASAP
When this complex was owned by Archstone, it was a great place to live. Sadly, the management changed last year and everything went down the tubes. Let me first say that my unit faces west and receives a huge amount of sunlight, but over the two years I spent in this complex, I could never get the management to work with me, maybe tint the windows or anything. My air conditioner broke several times b/c it had to work so hard! Over heating and leaking all over my bathroom floor (located in the ceiling... a terrifically convenient place) Let's not even talk about how long it takes for repairs, especially since the Rockwell management took over. Not to mention that I used to be able to pay my rent online under Archstone. I was told that Rockwell was in the process of setting up a similar system, which never came to fruition. The rent price includes NOTHING! the sewer, water, gas, trash and electric are all separate, thus the rent varies every month and you invoice manages to find its way to ou mail box sometimes in the 24 hours before its due. I HATE not knowing my rent until the day I write the check. Now for the biggest kicker. My lease is set to renew in August and my rent shot up $100. I was told this is because my place is considered "non-renovated" and non-renovated units are only leased to existing units. They won't renovate my place while I'm in it (they can't) but they want me to pay the renovated rate. Basically, after discussing this with the manager, it's clear to me that they are driving up the rent to force me out so they can renovate my unit and jack the price up even further for some unsuspecting new tenant who has no idea how much their electric bill is going to cost just to keep the temperature bearable in the hot afternoon sun. Just don't rent from these folks. It's a waste of money.Share This Review
