Maintenance always responds super quick and everyone in the office is super nice and courteous. When it was time to renew my lease the girls were super helpful and everything was fine quick and painless. I love this quiet, beautiful community.

      I wish I could give negative scores. They make you sign saying there aren't any bed bugs. Full of bed bugs. Lease says they accept packages. They don't and have lost over 200$ worth of shipments to me. Staff is rude. Pools never are open/or working. Laundry room smells like rotting filth and has wasps and cockroaches. Avoid at all costs. The office personal are the absolute worst. I can't wait to leave this hell hole. Not worth it.

          This place is good if you need a cheap and quick place to live. They are very unstable. Lived here going on a year and have seen many different office staff. I had issues in the beginning with maintance. I would put in an order and the guy would show up not speaking a lick of English knock once scream "maintance" , unlock my door, and walk happily in while I was screaming to "hold on". At the time my daughter was a baby and I was nursing on demand so this man walked in on me breastfeeding either topless or with much of my breast exposed MANY TIMES. My husband had to have a long talk with the office staff saying he was not allowed to come to my specific number anymore. Shortly after they Got another guy. I had roaches for 4 or months and they did not believe me. My husband had to take them evidence just for anything to happen. We were almost ready to break our lease agreement. I do love my neighbor.             These apartments are awesome! I didn't have any noise problems. The maintenance people came out and fixed what you needed within one to two days. Fantastic staff.

              My husband and I are pretty laid back people, so we have hesitated to write a review for a while now. But recently, things at Shadow Creek have been pretty awful. We have lived here 11 months. The management has changed several times since we moved in. Maintenance requests do not get addressed quickly. We waited four days for our bathroom electrical problem to be fixed and had to call more than twice to remind them we had no lighting in that room. When we had a terrible winter storm and our stairs were 4 inches deep in solid ice, I called them to ask if we could have help removing the ice, or get some salt to put on the stairs. They said they were not liable for any injuries we might experience due to the ice, so they would not be able to assist us. I found this very disheartening. We are their customers and residents. We just wanted help and were having trouble walking down the stairs! We've also asked for advice when the neighbors below us confronted us about hearing our footsteps through the floor.                 My name is Kristi Petit and I have been here for about 2 months. I do not work for the Apartments in any capacity. The office staff when we first moved in was awful, rude and condescending. But, things have changed and I am happy with the new ladies that are here. The grounds; were not great because people would allow there dogs to crap and not pick up after them. In the past month, the grounds are cleaner. While the construction bothers people and understandably so, my only complaint is the left behind material. We cook out quite a bit and like to have a nice place to hang out and play games, football and soccer. We have only had one issue with our microwave and they called a professional out to do maintenance on it withing a few days. Unless you move into a brand new complex you will have onesies and twosies that are going to bother you. So far, it is quiet, easy to pay rent and we get no hassle from anyone around us. Price is a bit higher than I was looking for but the location is great. Groceries, gas and restaurants are lessā€¦Ā See More>

                  I love living at Shadow Creek! It is such a quite place with nice neighbors. I see that the owners are starting to do work around here and it is looking better all of the time. Great price & good place to live.

                    school is starting, and our pool STILL HAS NOT OPENED. The management explained to me that there was a problem with the perimeter of the pool, and it was a problem LAST YEAR as well. That means, they had ALL YEAR to correct this problem, and they did not do so. The fact that we have had a triple digit summer, AGAIN, and can not use our pool due to the laziness and the lack of care from the management. I can not wait until my lease ends.

                        DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT!!! I would just like to take the time to explain to you that the pictures in this listing are no where close to date. In fact, I've never seen that sign before and I have lived here for over two years. Note the cars in the parking lot. What year is the newest one YOU see? My guess is one of those sexy 1992 mini vans. This apartment complex doe not look anything like the pictures you see here, so please do not be fooled. About a year ago, one of the balconies collapsed. No one was hurt, but the management decided to repair all the balconies. But I guess they ran out of funding, because they didn't even get halfway done with they repairs, and the balconies still look as if they are about to collapse. The star case that leads to my apartment? Very unsafe. So unsafe in fact, that every time someone new climbs up them, they make a snide comment about how they thing its going to collapse beneath them.                           Truly You Get What You Pay For With this Apartment. Its Not in a Bad area. The Location is Great But There Are Something You Need To Know About this Place. When We First Moved Everything Was fine. As Months Went On We Had Paid For Covered Parking. My Neighbors Would Park In My Spot All The Time. I Let It Go The First Time But They Were Still Doing It. Called The Office And They Told Me They Would Take Care Of It. Which They Never Did. They Have Towing Signs Everywhere But Dont Enforce It. Noise Is A Big Issue For Me. Up stair Neighbors Are So Nice But So Loud. This Place Is Great For The Price But They Should Really Enforce Some Parking Rules And Keep it that Way. I Pay $100.00 Just For My parking Spot and Cant park In it. Otherwise the Staff Is really Friendly And Helpful. The Maintenance Guys Are Great! Very Time Efficient And Gets Things Done. My Only Issues Is The Parking And Noise But other Than That Its Great. If They Would Find A Solution To the Covered Parking Id Probably Stay Here For Another Year. Were Moving Outā€¦Ā See More>

                            Wonderful!

                            My husband and I loved living here and I would highly recommend this complex to anyone. The office staff was always friendly, any work orders we placed were fixed in less than 2 days and even after we moved out we had no hidden charges. We were so sad when our lease was up. I mean they are older apartments so the walls are thin but thats to be excepted when you are looking at older complexes. Overall, It was a very enjoyable year. : )

                              ROACHES!!!!

                              upon moving in a week ago, started noticing roaches in bathroom and kitchen. They dont seem to care bout this issue. Wishin i would have looked a while longer for a better place. yea this place is cheap but there is a reason why. they dont care bout their residents bug problems. we have never had roaches so this was a previus problem the didnt share with us. DONT MOVE HERE!!! KEEP LOOKIN!!

                                Nice Staff, but some issues...

                                Overall, I think this is an ok place for the price. The maintenance has up till this week been fast to respond. I think I just have a bum apartment right now. My living room kept getting wet from the rain (gutters were clogged). So waiting onn week 2 for them to unstop the gutters (they had to outsource). Not to bad a problem because maintenance has been trying to repeatedly address the issue. My porblem has perpetually been ants. Add to that the joy of having our motorcycle stolen, and today my car broken into. I would say it is a fine place as long as you secure your vehicles. I just wish they could do more for the ants! (Repeated exterminators they supplied, but they always come out of any of our electrical switches,and outlets. But again the staff is very friendly and does try to do all same day repairs as possible. Also when you look at your potential apartment, if you have a washer/dryer; CHECK THE LENGTH OF THE EXHAUST TUBING! Dryers are designed to push air 18 feet, if it isā€¦Ā See More>

                                  Problems Noted

                                  The complex is pretty well kept. The staff are nice. There is a definate problem with ants in the bathroom and kitchen. Neighbors leave their trash by their door instead of following the rules and taking it to the dumpster. You will always have the lazy neighbors who care about no one but themselves but it is a part of the lease that trash not be left by the door. No one wants roaches or ants so this is one of my complaints. I would like to see some action taken against those repeat offenders. This would be nice. If there are rules then they should be enforced or not placed in a lease agreement. A community is only as nice as it looks.

                                    horrible nightmare

                                    I have never lived in such an unprofessional place. First of all the ground keeping is horrible. There is always pet feces everywhere you step, you really have to watch where your feet are placed. The management is horrible, they claim that the apartments are in tip top shape, but there is countless holes in the floors. I am always scared that we will fall through to the bottom floor. Finally the office has hours that are very incovinent, on weekdays they are open from 10:30 til 6, saturday from 11-5 and sunday from 1-5. When the office is actually open not one of the three members of staff are inside. The staff claims that there is not any crime here, however last weekend there was a gun shot that went off in the middle of the night and a fight right in the middle of the parking lot. Police officers appear to constantly be here.

                                      Should Have Kept Looking!!!!!!

                                      I haven't seen any real changes! I looked at the photo's on web site and would really like to know when these were taken! I have been fighting a cock roach problem for at least a year and have had no help. I have addressed issue with management every month and was informed I could get out side help and pay for it ! It is my problem, not theirs!

                                        I have applied here but not sure if I'm going to sign a lease. The office staff told me I could have the apartment I wanted for 699 then when I came in person they denied having a unit for that price and told me the rent was going to be 735. They also didn't tell me about the app fee. Over the phone they were saying they would email the application and I could just fax it in, yet when I came in person they wanted 40 bucks per person. Their app fee is high and they charge a $50 admin fee on top of that. I guess you have to pay out the --- to live in a white community. No one is living in the unit I want yet they want money to let me start moving in a day early. (no place to put my stuff for a night) Every other place I went to said they would help me out, since no one is in the unit anyways. Didn't act like they appreciated my prospective renting with them. Not liking the experience so far.

                                                Good at First But Cant Wait to leave

                                                I have lived here going on 2 years and my lease is coming up! I have lived here long enough at first i loved it. but now i just want out of here as soon as possible. i had a bike stolen off the second floor balcony and i asked the office if they were having problems with it and they said no ofcourse! my electric bill is around 300 every month which is ridiculous for two bed and bath for one person living here! i called the office about it asking for them to come see if theres something wrong with the ac or something and all they said is i have to turn off all the lights! then in the middle of the summer the ac broke and we had to get another one! ever since i have lived ehre there has a been a constant banging on the wall and im guessing its the pipes! i can hear every little sound outside people talking car doors kids playing ANYTHING!! the water bill keeps going up every month! the office staff is really nice and i will miss them but the price for a place like this isā€¦Ā See More>

                                                  Truth and details.. Not the best, but not the worst

                                                  The complex is older, floors are uneven and jours tend to fall off, the vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom are lumpy. I did however get new appliances when i moved in so that was a major bonus.Maintence is well about coming, and because its an older complex the rooms to me seem to be bigger. My biggest complaint is the crime. Its not the complexes fault but definetly needs to be considered in the thought of the surronding enviorment. They require you to get renters insurance and they're smart by doing so because in my one year stay, one of our cars were stolen (literally the whole thing) and another vehicle broken into and had the stereo taken. Both a good and bad feature are the surrounding shops, tons of fast food and a walmart are extremely close, but because Rufe Snow is such a busy road there are constant sirens going off from ambulences and all those stop lights add to your timed drive in the morning, but this is dfw "what do you expect?".
