My husband and I are pretty laid back people, so we have hesitated to write a review for a while now. But recently, things at Shadow Creek have been pretty awful. We have lived here 11 months. The management has changed several times since we moved in. Maintenance requests do not get addressed quickly. We waited four days for our bathroom electrical problem to be fixed and had to call more than twice to remind them we had no lighting in that room. When we had a terrible winter storm and our stairs were 4 inches deep in solid ice, I called them to ask if we could have help removing the ice, or get some salt to put on the stairs. They said they were not liable for any injuries we might experience due to the ice, so they would not be able to assist us. I found this very disheartening. We are their customers and residents. We just wanted help and were having trouble walking down the stairs! We've also asked for advice when the neighbors below us confronted us about hearing our footsteps through the floor. This is an old building, and we knew that coming in, but the way they spoke to us was hateful and we needed advice as to how to handle it. Management never returned any of our calls or messages concerning the matter. Lastly, the construction they are now doing on the apartments is an incredible inconvenience. I know that this is necessary, and great for people moving in in the future, but they did not give us a phone call to notify us this was going to be happening. So, when we returned from our vacation today to find yellow tape, construction materials, nails, a torn down balcony, and ladders everywhere, we were very disappointed. We have to walk underneath an old, rickety ladder to get to our door! I wouldn't have minded as much if they had called us and prepared us. The construction noises are very annoying, and we are glad to be moving out next month. My husband and I would not recommend this property to anyone.
