I disagree....

After reading the reviews, I knew I had to write one to clear things up. A little background on me: I have lived here for 2 years now. I have a dog. I take advantage of the pool, workout room, and tanning bed. I live in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with a garage. When I moved in, I made it a point to go into the front office to get to know the staff. I LOVE them all! When Anthony was here, he always went the extra mile for tenants. However, if you spend any time with the current staff, you will know that all they want is for you to have a great experience here, as it is your home. Sarah is an amazing manager - wish all of my apartment managers were as great as her. With all of the "problems" she has to deal with, I think he does a great job! I go into the office about once a week... and I don't always have a reason. I just pop in to say hi. When I have had a problem, it makes dealing with it a little more pleasant because I'm not just in there to -----. And, I think some of the issues discussed on this site are caused by residents - dog poop, parking, noise, pool problems, etc. So, let me start with the dog poop.... I have complained about the poop being EVERYWHERE! But, as a pet owner (and as I mentioned, I am) it is your responsibility to pick it up... as gross as it may seem. It is actually a city ordinance to pick up after your pet. My dog actually got sick a few months ago from all of the poop outside my apartment. And, I agree with the person who was mentioning the dog poop on the sidewalk. Pick up your pet's poop. If you think it is too far to walk to the dumpster or a dog station, then you are a lazy human being. Either put some grocery bags in your pocket when you go out, buy a doggie bag dispenser, or walk to the nearest pet station and get some free bags (And just b/c your dog is small, doesn't mean you get to slide... poop is poop) I don't want to step in it everytime I walk outside. With all of this said, there is something I'd like to point out... last week I was at the pool. A man was walking his LARGE dog. I saw the dog poop and he didn't even act like he acknowledged the poop and went about his way. A second later, I heard some lady yell... "Hey, are you going to pick that up?" It was our new, fabulous assistant manager, Neva. The guy actually had the nerve to say, "Pick what up?" Neva said, "the dog poop." He actually had the nerve to walk off. I'm hoping they took a picture and sent it to him with a fine! So, as you see... it's not the maintenance folks that should be picking up after YOU! As for the noise... I have had some major issues with this, but after the AWESOME staff worked with both me and the tenant above me, things are great. It is not the staff's fault, or the fault of the resident. It's the owner/builder's fault. If they would've put more insulation in these buildings you wouldn't hear everything. However, I have to say since the issue was cleared up, it's pretty quiet. I don't care what you think... any apartment you live in is going to have some type of noise. Think about it... you are in tight quarters. If you are on floor 1 or 2, you will hear someone above you. Parking... Whomever parked in a reserved spot and got towed, you should've known better.And how many times has the apartment staff told you not to park in a reserved spot. Also, when you enter the complex, towing signs are up. It's your fault. And, there is always parking near my building. I don't think every spot on the grounds were taken. I have a garage and someone parked in front of it "real quick" because they had to run something up to a friend. Ticks me off because I couldn't get out until he moved. Seriously... park in a parking spot and you won't have any issues. Once again... laziness. We pay for our garages and covered spots. Don't park there unless you pay for it. Maintenance... The maintenance staff is GREAT! My airconditioner was leaking a few months ago. I didn't realize until after hours b/c of work. Within 30 minutes of me calling the afterhours number someone was at my door. It took a few days to get a new unit, but when it came in, I got a call and scheduled the installation. I also think they do a great job of trying to keep everything up and running. As for the gates - they are a deterrent and just that. Anyone who wants to get in can get in. And, for those that are not patient enough (or who try to follow someone in) you should have a dent on your car. Follow the rules! The gate opens first and then the bar goes up. Just wait and it will work right. I feel bad for the guys because they are always having to fix the bars. Funny thing... they always know who broke it because they have cameras at the front of the property. Trash Valet.... Not much to say except this service is the BEST! The apartment itself... LOVE it! The features are so awesome. I love having a jetted tub and shower. The bathroom is so big! The kitchen has granite... and it's an apartment. Where are you gonna find that? I have great storage. The washer and dryer in each unit - not in other places. So... if you are in the market for a new place, this is the place you want to be! Oh... the staff also puts on cooking classes, holiday gatherings, they bring in vendors such as Scentsy, and they put on pool parties (usually one each year - and the food and booze are provided). If you are picky and just not a happy person - look elsewhere. Hope you have a great day!
