Better Apartments in the Area

I would rate my experience here at Ventana 3.5 out of 5 stars. Overall, I would say that there are other apartments in great areas, for the same price range, that are nicer. We will not be renewing our lease. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: great location, friendly and responsive staff, lovely landscaping, updated floors and cabinets, valet trash collection, package center, affordable pricing Cons: there are loud car-revving noises from the nearby road and highway throughout the day, which is difficult when you're trying to have a work meeting or sleep, the gates have been broken multiple times since I've been living here, our shower feels like it's from the 90s, and there are multiples holes and paint patches from previous renters. My biggest issue is how they treat emotional support animals. I have two emotional support animals, and before we moved in, the office asked me to provide my documentation from my provider and the vet. I happily gave them all the documents, and the office said it would take 30 days to verify them with their third-party source. After 30 days, I got a call from the office, and the kind woman told me, "Our source looked over your documents and determined that your case does not qualify for the ESA exemption." This could violate the Fair Housing Act, which states that properties like Ventana have to accommodate ESAs and waive any animal fees or deposits. I told the office this, and I have not heard a response.
