High marks on walkability, staff friendliness, and maintenance crew. There are fun activities once in awhile and food trucks once a week. What sold me is being able to walk to 20+ restaurants, walking to the movie theater, and having a bus drop off really close.
Only two drawbacks 1) being so close to the freeway and shopping centers has its perks but also comes with some safety concerns that can't be avoided. I think the perks outweigh the safety concerns though and I've never felt "unsafe" at night or during the day in the community. And 2) normal apartment living drawbacks that is common in any community like small kitchens, lack of proper range ventilation, inability to opt out of "community packages" like trash pick up or other "perks" that I don't use, etc.
Overall, I've been satisfied with Ventana in the 1 year I've lived here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to for a walkable area that isn't downtown or wants to pay for "luxury".
