Resident 2006 - 2007

3/28/2007

My opinion of the place *detailed*

I am a current resident at this place for almost a year and I will have to disagree with the negative comments about the management. They have always been helpful with me since the beginning and no where close to being rude. I can walk in and carry a conversation w/ them if wanted to(if they're not busy). When Lisa or Kanita (sp?) see me, they always say hello and maybe chat for a quick sec. I recommend either of these two as they help you out and answer your questions.

I will agree that the price is a little high as compared to most other apartments, but you get what you pay for. Modern appliances, crown molding, high ceilings and plenty of sunlight (well, mine atleast, i live in the Soho). Not to mention, every apartment comes furnished w/ seperate washer and dryer (aside from the smallest one which comes w/ a stacked washer and dryer), dishwasher, stove, microwave and fridge. Parking was a pain for the first few months, but I found a spot that would never be occupied no matter what time and nope, Im not tell'n =p. They have recently addressed the parking issue by towing anyone w/o a pass. I learned this first hand when I woke up to find my car not where I left it. So if you switch vehicles from time to time like me, make SURE you have your pass on display. Since this change, there have been plenty of spaces open on my side.

Maintenance seemed pretty good for me. I had an issue with my window blinds and they replaced that a day later. Replaceing air filters was done in about the same time. They did change my lock the same day though. IMO, promtness depends on work load and the order they receive things. Havent had any other issues.

Noise. Not a big issue inside the complex although you live about a 1/4 mile away from an intersection at a train track...but youll get used to that. There is also a Firestation 2 miles down the road so you'll get the occasional sirens. I live right where the speed bumps are, so thats one thing I always here. Residents for the most part are quiet.

Safety. This is something that nobody can guarantee and you have to look out for yourself no matter where you are. Its common sense. Neighbor across told me he had been broken into. There were a couple burglaries on new years. Cars have also been broken into aswell. The complex is quick to post up notices at every entrance and at your mailbox about anything thats happend along with tips to help prevent them. Nothing has happend to me fortunatly aside from someone stealing my $15 doormat.

All in all, I am very happy with this complex and would recommend them to anyone looking in this area.
