It has been a generally pleasant apartment but the amount at which rent is raised every year after my first lease has been excessive and beyond normal cost of living increase. In the first two years the community was not hosting community events and the amenities were not open due to Covid, yet they were still a charge on the rent. It also is not clear if things actually get recycled, I've seen trash in recycling and cardboard bins.

Love everything!!! The neighborhood is safe and quiet yet close to everything! Whole Foods is a block away! Very dog friendly community! Quiet community and I plan on renewing my lease for years to come!

I've been at Post Carlyle for 2 years. I find the location to be perfect for walking to work, shops, Old Town and the metro. The other residents are friendly and considerate. The staff are very helpful and responsive to any issues, and maintenance has always showed up within 24hrs of filing a maintenance request. I just signed a lease for another year.

The location is great for both the jobs and the transportation. The graveyard across the way is a pleasant place to walk. The grounds are mature and a good place to sit in the evening. The staff is professional. It's been a pleasant stay.

My wife was unable to tour the apartment with me because she didn't bring an I.D. with her. It's fine to have a policy requiring that visitors bring an I.D., but it should be made known in advance. I toured by myself and saw a unit that was similar to the one that will soon be available for rent. The unit was nice, but not what I would call special. The building itself is probably 15-20 years old, and the unit reflected that age/period. The next day, we found a three-year-old unit elsewhere that is brighter and fresher and will rent for slightly less. I would certainly live at Post Carlyle if there had not been something newer available. Post Carlyle is pretty, has nice appurtenances, and seems very well-maintained. I'm sure it's a great place to live. But we found something more appealing for us.

Nothing but great so far. Management is superior to most other apartment complexes in the area. They are super prompt, friendly and responsive. Apartment is well maintained and neighbors are all welcoming.

Long distance move from out of the state. Unsure if the community is inexperienced with these types of moves but communication in terms of outstanding requirements in order to facilitate a smooth transition. I had a lot of email correspondence and multiple conversations where information was not provided to me that should have been resulting in a delayed and painful move-in on the day of. Examples include: no physical address of the apartment resulting in incorrect information and thus, being unable to adequately establish energy services and rental insurance; additional requirements not being mentioned until the day of move-in; and specific requirements for accepting funds not being mentioned until the day of move-in (i.e. only accepting check or money order with no notice ahead of time and no amount provided, it's 2023 and no one carries a checkbook anymore thus, if a check is the expectation, it must be mentioned with adequate notice and adequate information such as the exact amount).

Reasonable base rent. Windows need more frequent attention. Nice views are ruined by how filthy windows are. Maintenance is responsive, but clearly have been instructed to do the minimum for cost-saving purposes

Post Carlyle has beautiful apartments and lovely grounds. The Management team is very responsive, highly effective, and most friendly. The maintenance team responds promptly and with excellence. Post Carlyle is very convenient to stores, shops, and subway.

Decent. Communication to the entire community could be better but one on one interactions have been good. Also, having a better way to address issues between neighbors could be better. Just leaving notes on doors or emails aren't best.

Move-in was wonderful! The leasing staff was incredibly helpful both via email in advance of my move-in and in-person when I came on-site. The apartment was very clean, the amenities have been top-notch, and I'm quite happy to be part of this community.

Great community. They take care of the facility pretty nicely. I wish they planned more social events for the community to gather or there was a board to post gatherings rather than on the portal. The only part I dont like is the increase rent yearly. I wish they would not do that every year and it is a pretty significant increase.

I am a recent tenant. The property managment team was very helpful. I am enjoying my new apartment. The towel hanger on the main bathroom is on a wall that i can`t easily reach. The rug near the lifts in G1 could be cleaner .

We love MAA comunities. This is our second community and we love the amenities, the staff, and what the community has to offer. We do enjoy the search option that is provided and all the communities/apartments that we searched, we kept on comparing them to MAA and that is all we could think of. We love our apartment.

It has been pretty bad. Packages go missing, smells like smoke and weed, maintenance teams lie on work orders about showing up to fix things, cockroaches everywhere (!!). Do not live here. It's expensive and not worth it.

Great community and apartments! Overall great value. Very much appreciate the location too. We have lived here for 3 years, and it has been great. The maintenance staff are really great too - they have done a great job quickly addressing our concerns.

Clean, quiet, and pet-friendly, Post Carlyle Square is close to everything! Staff are friendly and accommodating - they even let us borrow a cart for move-in. In general, it seems like they thought of everything when building this place. This is the first time I've lived somewhere with keyless entry and it's taken some getting used to, but the set-up was easy and I feel really safe here. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and people actually use them, as well as the other amenities.

Clean and safe. Nice location and easy to get around. I like the sun deck and community lounges. The grounds are well kept and the views from my place are nice. I have used the outdoor grills many times.

My wife and I have been satisfied here. We love the neighborhood and overall location. The building is quiet. We miss the community events that stopped during the pandemic and have not resumed. Rent prices are on the high side for the area.

Before I toured the community I read the Fee Schedule given to me. The $350/year annual Amenity Fee automatically heightened my perspective on top of what I was looking for in a home. For me, I occasionally use the amenities and could not justify the need to pay this annual fee on top of the various other monthly fees. This property have lots of floor plans to choose from, but some items are outdated and they do not have a package room to support the fees charged. Great place if money is not a concern.
