Long distance move from out of the state. Unsure if the community is inexperienced with these types of moves but communication in terms of outstanding requirements in order to facilitate a smooth transition. I had a lot of email correspondence and multiple conversations where information was not provided to me that should have been resulting in a delayed and painful move-in on the day of. Examples include: no physical address of the apartment resulting in incorrect information and thus, being unable to adequately establish energy services and rental insurance; additional requirements not being mentioned until the day of move-in; and specific requirements for accepting funds not being mentioned until the day of move-in (i.e. only accepting check or money order with no notice ahead of time and no amount provided, it's 2023 and no one carries a checkbook anymore thus, if a check is the expectation, it must be mentioned with adequate notice and adequate information such as the exact amount).
