Resident 2009

NO, NEVER, NADA, NOT EVER!

I read these reviews constantly when I looked for a place to live in Arlington. The reviews on 2200 Columbia Pike were mixed and now I know why! The apartment are big and well maintained (that's great!) however, the quality of the management personnel and pretty much everyone else that works here is awful!! I have never met more rude and inefficient people in my life. The front desk people are so mean and honestly make me feel uncomfortable when I walk into the lobby. FORGET asking them a question, they will look at you like you are speaking in a different language. Any maintenance that needs to be done, expect it to take over a week with people running in and out of our apartment at odd hours of the day, without knocking before they let themselves in. I have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in a living community before. As for the good reviews on this place. . . it is my keen understanding that some people have been living here since the 70's when it opened, and their rent hasn't change much since then (cheap rent in Arlington? I wouldn't complain either). However, I am paying rent that is competitive with most other places in this area (In other words, way too expensive). The walls are paper thin, the elevators and hallways reek of trash especially on the weekend. If you want to have visitors stay, BEWARE, their car will get towed from visitor parking if you are not careful (thanks to the fabulous front desk staff, do you sense my sarcasm?!!!) especially on the weekends. Save your money. Move somewhere where you feel appreciated and your money is valued. And by the way, they are building a brand new building right across the street from this place. Unless you like to wake up to the sounds of construction, perhaps you might look elsewhere. I cannot stress enough how poorly this place has made me feel as a tenant. I want no one else to have to go through what I have moving in here. Moving is not fun, and finding out the place you chose to live is awful, is even worse. Do NOT waste your time, money or sanity.
