I live in Devonshire Tyson&#39;s Glen&#39;s other property down Rt.7. I see some people complaining but personally I think it is a just fine place to live. &lt;br&gt;The Pros:&lt;br&gt;- free shuttle to the metro&lt;br&gt;- swimming pools&lt;br&gt;- reasonably priced&lt;br&gt;- well maintained&lt;br&gt;- accept bigger dogs&lt;br&gt;- friendly office staff&lt;br&gt;- stoarge space&lt;br&gt;- realitivly quiet&lt;br&gt;The Cons:&lt;br&gt;- they said there was a playground when we moved in but it was gone&lt;br&gt;- most neighbors aren&#39;t too friendly, they keep to themselves&lt;br&gt;- you can hear you neighbors a bit but personaly I think that is just part of apartment living&lt;br&gt;- You can&#39;t walk to Tyson&#39;s and Rt. 7 can be a mess traffic wise&lt;br&gt;I know people complained about parking but I find that parking is pretty good here. They aren&#39;t too crazy with the tow trucks when you have visitors either. The fix things ASAP here too. I think that all in all these apartments are a great value and nice.

Each year&#44; A.J. Dwoskin & Associates hires an independent firm&#44; SatisFacts Research&#44; to randomly survey a percentage of the residents at each apartment community.  I am thrilled to announce that in the 2007 survey&#44; 90&#37; of the residents surveyed stated they would recommend Tysons Glen to a friend.  

This year&#44; Tysons Glen has commenced a multi-year renovation project to update apartment interiors with new maple cabinets&#44; countertops with a breakfast bar&#44; designer light fixtures&#44; brushed nickel hardware&#44; ceramic tile in the kitchen and bath&#44; and wood moldings in the living room and dining room.  The management team is constantly striving to make improvements to the community.  

Not often does a resident satisfied with their apartment seek out a website to post a positive comment or compliment.  This website can be a bulletin board for disgruntled residents who are few and far between.  When reading this website&#44; please consider that the best indicator of the professional management of an apartment community is the overall opinion of its residents.  The results of the 2007 annual resident survey speak volumes about how satisfied the residents are at Tysons Glen.

Tysons Glen receives resident recommendation in 2007 resident survey!

Spider crickets AKA Cave Crickets - pictures below. They were first seen on the walls of our bedroom, then in our living room, and then the last draw was seeing them in our kitchen on our food. One jumped from the wall and attacked my wife. The laundry room and boiler rooms are now called &quot;nightmare rooms.&quot; 

After two years of pest control visits and attempts at correcting the situation by Tyson Glen&apos;s Maintenance team, my wife and I finally gave up hope. The spider crickets climb on the walls, they jump at you when threatened, and Management would still not let us break our lease. We have maintenance requests going back two years noting increased duress and urgency. Recently, my wife saw one run bypass (even though we have learned to place ten traps throughout at any given time) and scurry across the living room. She also went into the kitchen to cook dinner and when she returned to take food out of the oven, noticed one on the wall and it jumped at her. We almost destroyed the apartment killing that thing.

When this was first brought to management, I literally walked into the office with a bag of spider cricket bodies in glue traps. Their only suggestion was that I move to a more expensive unit and pay my own moving costs. I was barely making rent as it was and could not afford an additional expense. Now, we are being forced to stay in our current lease and pay extra to move out. This is absolutely ridiculous. The inability to be flexible, or to even accommodate us to save us from this quality of life is something that we have contacted lawyers to discuss. It is simply inhumane and based on the high rent alone our lease shouldn&apos;t feel like a prison sentence. 

Going to bed is horrible, we do a 20-minute check for spider crickets and do our best to seal the doors. Midnight bathroom trips are a distant memory and good luck lying in bed when you think you felt or heard something crawling around you.

Tysons Glen has a wonderful maintenance staff for everything else in their control. Whether it be an issue with a sink, lights, HVAC system or doorway, they are stellar in every regard. Obviously the location is also fantastic. 

The office staff was also friendly and supportive of the spider cricket issue even when management was not. The Pest Control teams they hire are disrespectful amateurs. Once, an Exterminator knocked on my bathroom door at 730AM while I was in the shower. Another time, an Exterminator simply dropped their card in our mailbox saying our house had been treated when our DropCam proved that he never even entered the premises. On three other occasions, we saw the Exterminators spend no more than three minutes looking around and &quot;treating&quot; the apartment. Jus awful and we have dozens of work orders over the years to prove that our cries for help were legitimate and continually went unanswered.

Oh and we can also hear our upstairs neighbors couch, hiccup, and sneeze.

The only reason we stay here is because they have a great pet policy since only a few apartments allow dogs over 50 lb+. The people working at the leasing office are rude, have ZERO empathy, ZERO customer service, and an arrogant attitude. They never recognize their mistakes. Every time we have a problem, it&apos;s a nightmare going to that office. They do not care about the tenants. Additionally: Since we moved in they told us that the gym will be &quot;upgraded&quot;, a year and a half later that hasn&apos;t happened yet. The dog park receives ZERO maintenance, it&apos;s more deteriorated with every season. We can hear loud noises from the neighbor living above us, in the middle of the night or at 3 am. This past summer the pool wasn&apos;t cleaned properly, it was dirty all the season. Plus, we have experienced many power outages. NEVER use their website for automatic payment, for us it didn&apos;t work once, and they didn&apos;t let us know until we got a lawyer letter for eviction, they don&apos;t manage those issues properly. Positive side: beautiful people live here, it&apos;s a very friendly neighborhood with a strong dog community. The green areas are regularly taken care of by contractors, and cleaning service cleans the building every other day. The layout of the apartment is fair and the price of the rent is similar to others in the area. In summary, many people are living here because there is no other choice at the moment or they are thinking to move in the next opportunity they can. A recommendation would be to change the management of this place, they are ruining this complex. It could be a wonderful place to live.

I enjoy the location of these townhouses. I'm close to shopping outlets, grocery stores, and metro stations. I feel safe when walking around this community and adjacent communities. Overall the grounds a clean and feel safe. Only complaint is not being able to get in contact with the front office staff.

The apartment setting is natural and quiet. The people living here are friendly. The buildings are well-maintained, and the grounds are cared for with pride. The staff is courteous and respond promptly to requests. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating a home for people who desire a home which is close to the city and work yet still tranquil and welcoming for families.

Tysons Glen Apartments provides excellent value within a short walk of George C. Marshall High School, a top ranked school with an IB program. We have lived in the Falls Church/McLean suburbs of Washington, D.C. for more than 11 years and this was by far the best value for our dollar. Further, the complex provides good amenities, walking distance to grocery stores and Tysons, and a shuttle to the metro. The grounds are well kept with flowers and trees, there is a quiet wooded stream nearby with picnic tables and benches.

We have great experience at this community. Very accessible to DMV And very close to the CD if you are young you can work in this real location without no transportation issue! The most I like about this community is very quiet community and no parking issue!

Moving to this community make my family very happy. Good environmental. Pets friendly. Nice neighbors. Staffs and services is fast response at anytime. A lot of parking space and feel safety. Very convenient to go to downtown and anywhere. Thank you

I am happy the grounds are clean and  welcoming from neighbors to staff. Maintenance is ready to assist and respectful upon entering my apartment. The staff are educated on the apartments regulations as well accommodating, especially because I have an emotional support animal (friend!). Up to date beautiful appliances.

My experience here is great! Close to everything, staffs are great and helpful, and never had an issue woth neighbor or surroundings. My family feel safe in this apartment and only thing is ev chargers. It would be so nice to have one inside the community.

Tysons Glen might seem like a good deal in an expensive area but you get what you pay for. There are major plumbing issues throughout these apartments. The units were built as cheaply as possible, they are getting old, and the plumbing issues are only going to get worse. Our kitchen flooded from backflow out of our garbage disposal / washing machine. The ceilings on both floors would periodically leak and we would frequently lose hot water. All things considered, compared to our neighbors, we considered ourselves lucky. Our neighbors hot water heater exploded, flooding their apartment and forcing them to temporarily move into a hotel. Flooding from backflow is a common occurrence and frequently causes property damage. You should be particularly wary of apartments located below the townhouses. These units flood regularly and with particular gusto. Also the trees on the property have been left to rot and have become a hazard. Tysons Glen stay does not want to pay an prunning service to remove rotting branches and trees and they are putting their residents in danger. The front windows on both of our cars were smashed by falling branches. On multiple occasions entire trees come down and totaled parked cars. Finally there was a series of bizarre and capricious charges we were hit with when we left Tysons Glen after four and a half years: -$288 for water. This is despite the fact that we moved out three months early and obviously were not using any water. If you are considering an apartment here you should google -yes energy management-. You will find nothing but complaints from tenants and former employees about the company conspiring with apartment complexes to charge unreasonable prices. - $145 or general cleaning. When I asked for documentation the business manager sent us pictures of the kitchen we had left spotless. Despite repeated requests she was unable to describe any actual work that had been done. However, she still sent all of these charges to collections. - $200 for carpet replacement. Honestly the our carpet did need to be replaced but we stayed there over four and a half years and according to Tyson Glens own documents the carpets only had a lifespan of 5 years. -$200 for dog odor treatment. This is somehow in addition to the charge for carpet replacement. Again, despite repeated requests the business manager was unable to explain this charge. Did they somehow manage to spend $200 on febreeze? Also, we paid $100 in pet rent for four and a half years (totaling about $5k). Everywhere else I have lived it was understood that pet rent covers any additional cleaning fees related to your pets.

If you love Water Damage and Fraud, Tysons Glen is the place for you

It's good community. Clean and green community. Maintenance is good. Near to all school zones. Security is good. Nothing much to specify more on this community. Everything is good. Good response on request raising in the community for maintenance home. Garbage maintenance is very good.

Wonderful and convenient. I would definitely refer it to my friends and family. Shuttle service and proximity to school and business centre is key plus points. Only trouble is at times finding the parking space, but this is also quite rare.
