Don't live 2230 Iroquois!

I've lived in Tyson's Glen since October 2005. First in a two bedroom townhouse, then a three bedroom townhouse, and now in a one bedroom. The location of the apartment is great. It's right the end unit on the corner of the pool. The sun only hits it directly for a short time in the morning, so in the summer my A/C bills are real low. I've come to like Tysons' Glen, that's why I lived here for so long. However, I've had a horrible time dealing with the upstairs neighbor in 2228 Iroquois. It's not so much him, but his dog. It barks at all hours, day and night, waking me up or making studying difficult. Since February 2008 I left a note for him, put in three noise complaints, and one noise complaint to Fairfax County Police. Has this changed anything? Nope. This bothers me as the leasing office occasionally puts out reminders about the pet policy, and how they can have you remove your pet if it becomes nuisance, etc. Well, I'd say that four formal complaints over the course of a year is a nuisance. I'm sorry to say I'll be leaving Tyson's Glen because of the inability of the management to do anything effective against this horrible tenant and dog owner. The pool policy is also ridiculous. Tenants should be allowed to bring one guest, not have to get a pass. Also, the lifeguards really don't do a good job of monitoring the kids. Cannot tell you how many times a football or some other object almost hit me or someone else because they let the kids run all around it and throw the ball over other sunbathers. I even saw a kid throw the ball from one end and it landed in the kiddy pool area! It could have hit a three year old. If you go to the pool, go early, like when it opens at 10 a.m. because the little noise machines start to show up around noon.
