I lived in this community...

I lived in this community back in 2009 and loved it so much that I moved back in 2012. Really, I have no major complaints. Parking is great, the townhouse is great, the ground are great, and the ammenities are great. I will say the walls are a littel thin, but that's to be expected of an older community. The only issue I've had was a simple work order taking 4 months to complete and being told that work orders and parts were being ordered when they were not. That being said, I would recommend moving here to anyone.

    Recommendable

So far I actually liked living at Tysons Glen and would recommend it. However, I am going to be moving as soon as my lease is up because I think I can get something more modern for the price we pay. - Parking has never been an issue. You have open, free parking. You can reserve a space for $35, but there's really no need unless your legs are broken. - Noise by far has been the biggest issue. I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse, and the wall between your unit and one unit next to you is paper thin. The other wall is a firewall, so you can really hear anything. But when I say thin, I mean thin. I was in my room, nothing was on, and I could hear a full, word-for-word conversation that my neighbors were having. I could just imagine what they're hearing on my side. It's never been such an issue that I couldn't sleep and whatnot, but if your going to pay good money, I want my house to be as sound proof as possible. -The grounds are great, especially for pet owners. They have a huge dog run in the back of the complex and plenty of the pet waste containers. The pool is large and deep. It goes to 8 feet. The gym, however, wasn't even worth the money to build. -Issue #2: The wiring is a mess. You can actually see the lights fluctuate with the electrical currents. If I use 2 electrial outlets and the microwave at the same time, it blows a fuse. The stove is not up to par. Again, nothing that has ever really stopped me, but if I'm going to pay good money, I want something more modern. -I've only actually had a handful of maintenance issues all of which were resolved and went without issue again. -The staff is great. Very profession, helpful, and personable. -Overall, I do like living here. But for the money I'm spending, I'm going to move somewhere more modern. But this is a definitely a place for people just starting out or small families.
