This is a lovely building with competent staff.Everyone is friendly and helpful.They attempt to make it very comfortable for all. The building is attached to a shopping area and Harris Teeter is close by.

It is a lovely building with great staff ! The new carpeting , attractive painting of walls and doorways have made it a beautiful residence. Harris Teeter supermarket , a few restaurants, and shops add convenience and enhance the community . It is a good location.

I am 93 years old, live independently and have been in this apartment for over 3 years. My husband and I moved to this building when we downsized from big home , then big condo, then 2 bedroom 21/2 When his health declined and he required more help, we moved to independent living out of state, where we were able to have 2 meals, aides always available , and doctors on site. After he died, I decided that I wanted to move back to the location where I could live comfortably. In spite of different rental companies involved, I have always felt the kindness of the employees. I may not know any of my neighbors , all ages, and many moving in and out. The former rental company had parties , movies, and art experiences in the lounge ,but that was before the pandemic. I enjoy living here .I like Shante! The availability of Harris Teeter is an advantage . The closing of other stores was disappointing.

I love living here! It is a wonderful community and I recommend it ! Service is great! People in office are helpful and pleasant! If a problem arises in the apartment the care taker is very responsible and fixes it with a smile. What more could you want?

I called at 11:30AM because the commode was close to overflowing. I was told it was lunch time and the repair would be done at 1:30PM. AT 4:00, I called again. Then the tech came to snake the toilet. I lived in this building before I moved to Maryland. I returned here, after living in a retirement community., because I enjoyed living here before. This is the third management company I have interacted with. The pandemic made it difficult for them and I know that they are trying hard. I always rave about this complex. I think this is a difficult time because there is a great deal of renovating taking place and technicians have many tasks to complete. That was a poor timing ! IRepair was done, person was nice. Delay was the problem!

I think this is a wonderful community in which to live! I moved out of state after living here for a few years. When I decided to return to Va. ,I went back to this building. After 0ne year, I inform every one about my good decision.

My husband and I enjoy living in our lovely apartment in Monroe Place. The employees ,at our building , are friendly, helpful, and do their utmost to make us comfortable and happy.They go out of their way to help us , inside our dwelling or outside, when we are carrying packages. What nice people !
