Everything happened quickly.  literally i did the application ,and two days later i was moving in. the management sfaff were very efficient and helpful before and after the process. the location is perfect, it has restaurant, grocery stores, gym, etc, a just minutes away from the apartment. 100% recommended

Been living here for about 2 years now&#44; the area is super safe and well looked after. The staff is always helpful and attentive. The nearby shops are really great and also well taken care of. If you are ok spending $2&#44;000 for 1000 square feet in a basically perfect location then this is the place for you. There is really no disadvantage to living here if you understand the value of why the rent is higher than some other places.
I&#39;m not sure if every room has this&#44; but I believe they do... the granite counters&#44; tile floors&#44; and room layouts are just great.

This is a great apartment community.   I moved here after looking at multiple properties and I have ever had any regrets.  Judy&#44; Christine&#44; and Melissa in the management offfice are super-responsive to issues&#44; always pleasant to run into&#44; and they really &#34;make&#34; the place.  I hadn&#39;t lived in an apartment in 20 years before moving in here and I was concerned there would be a lock of &#34;community&#34;.   The location&#44; staff&#44; and the great amenities surrounding the building really make it feel like a little village.    I&#39;ve renewed my lease once and I will renew again next year.



I am a researcher/writer who spends a lot of time in my living space and require a quiet&#44; friendly&#44; and professional environment--a place exactly like Monroe Place. The management staff of Melissa&#44; Judy and Caroline and the maintenance staff have all been highly competant&#44; accessible and responsible to my needs. My best&#44; but not only&#44; example is the management allowing Caroline to drive me to my first doctor&#39;s appointment in DC following total replacement knee surgery this winter when my close friends and family all came down with the flu at the same time and were unable to take me.

The friendly lounge always has tea&#44; coffee and delicious freshly baked cookies available every day along with a big screen TV. wireless connection&#44; and free online computer stations&#44; if needed. 

My pictures below illustrate some of the favorite aspects of my 2-bedroom plus den apartment: pool view from my large patio&#44; library (1500 books)&#44; living room with FIOS&#44; and modern gas-stove kitchen. 

Lastly&#44; Monroe Place is the center place of a small town center with grocery store&#44; restaurants&#44; liquor store&#44; dentist&#44; cleaners&#44; and more all around--everything you need within short walking distance. Also&#44; covered parking is available for $40 per month. One of the best things is trash pick up in the evening outside at your apartment front door Sunday through Thursday.

I moved from similar size modern apartment in the &#34;hip Balston&#34; area that cost an additional $1&#44;000 per month rent and had severe traffic problems. I highly recommend Monroe Place.  It is a diverse community in which I have met many interesting and pleasant people of all ages as well as families with school-age children. Monroe Place sponsors many lite social events in the lounge at holidays and other times to promote a feeling of &#34;community&#34; for people who live here. I highly recommend Monroe Place to meet the needs of any and all.  


From Living at Monroe Place for Six Months

I have lived in Monroe Place since September&#44; 2008 just after it opened. The move was a big one and the leasing staff helped so much with everything&#44; letting the deliveries in while I was not there&#44; holding mail&#44; communicating well and always happy to see me and help me with packages&#44; work requests&#44; etc. It was a very smooth transition and I have enjoyed the activities here and have not looked back. I enjoy the extra attention everyone gets from the fresh cookies&#44; to a beautiful lounge. 

Tremendous customer service. A place that you can be proud of.

In general&#44; I like living here. It feels pretty safe (although there are many ways to get into the building without using a key&#44; and everyone I have had visit has been able to just follow someone in instead of having to call me). I like the apartment&#44; it&#39;s small and cozy with plenty of features I like. The leasing office doesn&#39;t always have their act together- it really annoys me that they all share an email address&#44; and they seem to read the emails but never get back to me. (Usually takes a few emails and calls to get something addressed). It annoys me that you can&#39;t pay rent online. The walls are thin and from the hallway I can hear peoples&#39; music&#44; singing&#44; talking&#44; from inside my apartment I can hear the elevator ding. A door frame has been hung the wrong way causing two doors to bump into each other constantly&#44; but the management won&#39;t address this. There is also a large crack in the drywall that&#44; before I moved in&#44; I was assured would be fixed- after I moved in I was told it was an expansion joint and they won&#39;t do anything about it. It&#39;s much more than that&#44; it&#39;s really just a bad drywall job. Upon moving in&#44; our cable TV was hooked up and it turns out that the cables in the outlet don&#39;t actually go anywhere. The builders had put up walls over where the technicians needed to get the cables and attach them. That whole mess took a few weeks and as a result we had no TV for about 2 weeks after moving in. It&#39;s a nice place and I do like it&#44; but they just don&#39;t quite have everything together. 

So-so

Just started my lease not too long ago. The amenities are great, was able to utilize the pool this summer before it closed for the winter. Hopefully I'll be able to update this review when I've stayed longer than a few months

We're extremely impressed with the space and value we have at The Point at Monroe place. It's beautiful inside and out and extremely well kept and clean! It's so convenient to be able to walk to grab groceries or a bite to eat. My husband works right down the road and is able to walk to work! We love the friendly staff as well!
