Loved my 1st year Hated my 2nd

My first year was fine. The office staff was friendly, knew me and my boyfriend by name. Never had a problem with neighbors, crime, maintenance, etc. <br><br>At some point the management and whole office staff changed and a whole new experience started. No one knows you or cares to know you. I have to wait 20-30 minutes to talk to anyone in the office then when I finally do they are usually rude. Theres only 1 person in the office that has been nice to me. I had to wait at least 6 months for them to come fix my washer AND dryer, both were broken. The first 2 times I asked the lady must not have wrote it down because the third time a different lady was in the office and looked back at the records and said they didn't have anything saying it was broken. Once she wrote it down it got fixed within the week, they just had to order the washer. So I don't think it was maintenance's fault (which I've never had a problem with-they are always friendly quick and informative) it was the office's fault for not telling maintenance.<br><br>One of my biggest issues was that they would do work and not send out notices. Within the last year they replaced carpet in the apt above me (the loudest thing I've ever heard), then replaced roofing on our building without any notices. I go to school and work, I really need my sleep when I can get it. I know things need to be fixed and I'm happy they fix them but I just think they can be a little considerate and let tenants know when extremely noisy things will be done in their building, its not like they don't know that its going to happen. I mentioned this to the office staff when the roofing was being done because i wanted to know how long it would last (I had several tests that week and couldn't even study due to the noise) and she said they don't normally send out letters for replacing carpet and they were sending out notices for the roofing that day (eventhough they had already started earlier that morning) AND the letters never showed so i'm not sure what happened.<br><br>Overall I just think the new office staff has gone way down. They are rude, inconsiderate, and just don't care anymore. I would probably stay if the old staff was here but I'm moving once my lease is up in May. Also now that I've been looking around there are MUCH bigger places in this area for the same price or cheaper (I'm in the biggest 1 bdrm now-still small)<br><br>Its not the worst place but I think I could find better, and theres definitely better office staff out there, ours is horrible.
