I just moved into the Villages at West Laurel. The move-in process was clearly outlined, and a representative was available consistently to answer any questions/concerns that popped up during the process. My representative was incredibly helpful and nice! She made sure everything was set for me and helped me work through some snags I hit due to unique circumstances. The apartment was clean upon move-in, with everything in working condition. Coming into my first independent living situation, it was a relief to have someone so pleasant and knowledgeable to guide me through the process! Overall I am very satisfied with my experience so far and am excited to explore the community and the amenities offered by the Villages.

NEW MANAGEMENT-NOW BELL LIVING and APT called THE VILLAGES AT WEST LAUREL.I have been in this apartment complex for sometime now before they recently changed management.I will like to say the previous management had their little issues but were good and fixed things on time&#44;at times fixed them the very day it is reported. Now with the new management the dumpster area is always clogged with trash&#44;yes for the 1st 3weeks they came in trash was never taken&#44;I thought it was due to the transition but we are in like 5 weeks and furniture and matresses are still laying all over the place&#44;the common not clean and trash litter everywhere. Can&#39;t wait to get out

Where to start... Well&#44; we moved into a two bedroom apartment back in December. There was no bar lock on our sliding door&#44; and the lock did not work. It took a good month and a half to get the bar lock put on. We had issues with the toilets running and making weird noises&#44; which were supposedly fixed.  We didn&#39;t know how bad it was until we got the first water bill for the first 19 days we were there. It said we used 26&#44;000  gallons of water!  On average&#44; a normal household uses anywhere from 5-10&#44;000 in a 60 day period. They then came and &#34;fixed&#34; the toilet again&#44; which continued to run and make weird noises. We had a leak behind our shower on 1/21&#44; in our closet that required the wall to be torn out. It took over a week for them to put the wall back in&#44; and we had the opportunity to smell nasty wet drywall that whole time. We also realized that there was a 1/2 inch gap between the glass door and the wall&#44; which was letting in the cold air. On 2/22 the pipe busted in the shower head in the master bathroom that had to be fixed. On 3/4 there was a leak behind our sink&#44; which required the wall in our living room to be torn out&#44; and the carpets to be ripped up. It took them over a week and a half to come back to clean the carpets. on 4/22 a pipe burst in the 3rd floor apartment at 11:30 at night. It ran down the middle of the apartments&#44; causing damage in my apartment&#44; my neighbors&#44; and flooding both of the bottom floor apartments. It took 30-45 minutes to get through to the emergency maintenance hotline&#44; and then another 30 minutes for the guys to get there. The water seeped through the walls in my hallway and laundry room&#44; which caused them to rip out the wall in my hallway&#44; but they just left the laundry room. On 4/25 our power went out 5  times between 3am and 12pm&#44; and we had to go outside to the main breaker of the apartment to get it to come back on&#44; not our fuse box. While the people were working on the apartment downstairs from the 4/22 flood&#44; the construction crew realized the apartment was infested with mold&#44; and that apartment had to be gutted. The management staff hid the information from the other tenants in the building&#44; and when asked for a mold test for the adjacent apartments&#44; they refused. On 5/2 we had another leak in our apartment&#44; behind our washer and dryer&#44; where they had to rip out that wall&#44; and we were stuck with the washer and dryer on the living room floor. So&#44; 5 water leaks&#44; not including the toilet leaks... all within less than a 6 month period? They released us from our lease without penalty. When we were taking pictures to move&#44; we realized that there was an odd spot on the wall.. when I touched it&#44; my hand went through the wall. The wall in my children&#39;s bedroom was infested with black mold. That would explain the doctors visit on 5/26 for my 2 year old... Upper respiratory infection&#44; severe allergies (never had allergies a day in her life before this apartment) and a wheezing in her lungs. She had to be prescribed a nebulizer every 4 hours&#44; antibiotics 2x a day&#44; allergy medicine 2x a day&#44; and nasonex at night. Oh&#44; but one good thing that they have is Mario&#44; the maintenance guy. He&#39;s the best. 

Do not rent here!

I moved in a couple months ago and I am very satisfied with my apartment. There&#39;s hardly any noise&#44; the staff is very helpful and friendly &#44; as well as the neighbors who live in my apartment complex. I was a little hesitant before moving in about safety&#44; because I had never lived in an apartment building before&#44; but I have had no problems with anyone and I feel very safe here. 
I also love the location because since it&#39;s so close to Short Pump I&#39;m only minutes away from tons of shopping centers and restaurants.

Great place to live!

Moved in in April and out in November. My entire building had mold&#44; they came to repair and removed 3 walls from the inside. Also&#44; removed my A/C unit for three days and the workers tracked mud across the entire apartment and they left my doors and windows open when they left. 

The neighbors would park their work vehicles and take up the majority of the parking&#44; it was extremely noisy listening to other neighbors playing music or arguing.

The property manager was the worst and did absolutely nothing to help. After threatening legal action she agreed to let us our lease opposed to fixing our problems

Tonight we just found a HUGE SPIDER&#44; this isn&#39;t the first time we&#39;ve seen this. Picture is included. 

On the first day we moved in there were three dead spiders by the living room window. We don&#39;t know where they come from since we keep our apartment clean. 

This week our hot water heater stopped working for the third time in a week. before this the hot water was fine. After numerous calls to the mumbling maintenance guy the hot water heater is good for one day&#44; hopefully. Also we found out that we had a three sided air vent going from the A/C unit to the second floor. The backside of the vent was OPEN TO THE WALL which would make the A/C room very very cold.

Dominion Olde West is in a good location&#44; its close to everything I need&#44; and a townhouse is better than my previous garden style apartment. 

My major problem is with the other tennants. Thankfully a really loud neighbor left after just a few months here&#44; the walls are paper thin and I could hear every fight the woman had with her screaming banshee children. 

There is also a frequent trash problem&#44; somehow magically trash just appears in everyone&#39;s front yard and shopping carts migrate to the apartment parking lot. 

There are other tenants here that are knowingly doing illegal activities like selling and doing drugs in their cars or in the parking lot but when we tell the landlord they act like nothing is wrong. They know it happens but they leave us good renters (that actually HAVE jobs) out in the cold. The cops have been by quite a few times&#44; they go inside for a few hours or for a day or two and they&#39;re back out once they feel the heat is off...

If it wasn&#39;t for that&#44; this place would be good place to stay&#44; but I&#39;m looking elsewhere when my lease is up.

Good location&#44; except for the other tenants AND SPIDERS!!!

I moved in to Dominion Creekwood a year ago&#44; and have just renewed my lease. I am a single woman and I live alone&#44; and I must say that I have never felt safer here. I love the idea of living away from busy streets and business and the quietness the neighborhood promotes. I have a full size washer/dryer and charming fireplace. The staff is always professional and sweet&#44; and any problems that I have ever had in my home have been fixed immediately. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!

I love living here...

I lived there for three years.  I moved in December of 2006.  When I first moved in it was a nice enough place.  In my last 9 months living there it turned from a decent place to a slum.  The month I left there were several incidents of vandalism to tenant&#39;s cars.  My biggest complaint was neighbors leaving their trash out in the common areas and not throwing it in the dumpster for several days.  In August the common area outside my door smelled like a trash dump.  I complained on multiple occasions about this but they did nothing.  Also&#44; by the end of the summer the pool was a wonderful shade of green. They also left trash&#44; an old refrigerator and A/C units lying next to the building by the pool. Stay Away!

There is NO policy on smoking inside the units. They have lied about this to me and others. My unit smells like smoke and my wife close all smell like a ash tray and if you have any allergies to smoke you do not want to move here. All I can say is stay far away. Please if you have children or care about your health you will not move here. I&apos;m leaving as soon as my contract is up. Moved in and had the carpet cleaned by Stanley steamer and the guy said it was one of the worse carpets he has ever seen. Even showed me the water and it was disgusting. They said the carpet had been cleaned before we moved in. They have a couple units available in my building and the top floor unit here had 5 men who worked for a landscape company and every day they came home they would walk through the unit to the deck with their boots on and they had a large dog. Parties every weekend there as well and once they movedo out had a cheap company come in and &quot;clean&quot; the carpets. I feel sorry for the next person that moves in. I have pictures of all that has happened at my unit and the cover up of mold issues to. Please stay away from this place. Not sure what the management company was like before but these people are horrible and cheap. Now there are some good things about here but the bad out weigh the good.

If you&apos;re thinking about moving here, don&apos;t!!!! The customer service is terrible! I&apos;ve been a tenant here since July of 2015 but I&apos;m breaking my lease this week. Unknown to me, there was a fire in the adjacent apartment to mine. I came home from work to be surprised that my lights in my apartment were on and my door was unlocked. Apparently, the fire department came in my apartment at 1pm on 1/8/20 to ensure the fire didn&apos;t spread to my apartment (that process is understandable). However, I wasn&apos;t called or notified by anyone from the apartment complex to make me aware of what happened. I had to wait until i got home at 10:30 that night to find my door with dents in it, a busted dead bolt lock, scratches on the wall in the hallway, the hallway door closet knocked off the hinges, the door missing from the crawl space, the apartment smelling of smoke and low water pressure in the bathroom. I&apos;ve notified the office manager Cassandra and her boss, the regional manager Jay. They both have been contacted numerous times and none of the issues have been resolved (with the exception of the deadbolt, I called the emergency mantience number the night of the incident and he came and fixed it). Also, the trash is an eyesore, frequently you can find trash thrown all around the dumpster. It&apos;s a shame that rent is over $1100 a month and the people at the rental office and in management don&apos;t want to fix any of the issues. Im the victim here, I didn&apos;t start the fire, I pay my rent on time, I don&apos;t call the office for anything (except this situation) and I&apos;ve never had a noise complaint or had the police called on me!! THIS PLACE IS THE WORSE!!!!

I have lived in this residence since 2017 and in this apartment since July and it was not ready for occupancy. I have had a lot of problems here that were reported when we moved in and I am still without a solution to many of them.

My experience in this complex is terrible. The office staff is useless. They don't care about the requirements . I don't plan to renew my lease here. The community is dirty and they don't have some one two clean the buildings.

In my experience living in the villages at wes laurel I can't complain about anything!  The environment is quiet and familiar, the neighbors are friendly and those in the office are excellent people, a great place to live
