Hey. My family and I have lived here in glen arbor for about a 1yr and a half now. Such far we have no complaints. The apartments are decent in size. No problem with a.c or furnace. Only issue had since been here was stove and that was fix not long after we sent request to fix it. The staff are very nice and helpful. The area is kept clean so no worries when my kids are out running and playing. Neighbors are friendly. Pool in community. New playground.

Where do I begin, This place is a JOKE. It's HORRIBLE. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT MOVE here. We asked about bugs and the neighborhood. She wouldn't tell us anything. Move in day, we see roaches. Next day found out their was a murder up the street by the laundromat. If anything breaks, forget it being fixed the right way. They claim they spray for the roaches but I can't tell. we had to by our own products and still can't get rid of them. A neighbor informed us that the building was infested with mice and roaches and we are on the 3rd floor. Parking is horrible. If you're not home by 5, you have to park down by the laundromat. Certain tenants smoke marijuana inside and outside the buildings. The "laundry" facilities in the building hasn't worked since we moved her which was in May. There is nothing positive about this place. NOTHING. Can't wait until Im moving. HATE THIS PLACE.

I live here with my family and have renewed my lease for another year because I really enjoy living here. Though these are not brand new apartments, they are close to so much you can walk to. The community has new management and have done so much already to improve the community. I have noticed they are on top on the pest control people to make sure units are treated correctly. I don't have any issues with maintenance completing the work I have requested. The new management has had a lot of events this past year that my family has enjoyed. I have noticed the new manager is always available if you need to speak to her.

These apartments are Awful. We haven't moved out because we can not afford it yet and do not want to break lease and be punished. This place is disgusting. There are roaches everywhere, no matter how clean you keep your place, they are EVERYWHERE. Bed bugs in the apartments. MOLD is everywhere. Stuff breaks all the time. Parking is awful. The people hanging out all times of night. Trash all over complex. The laundry machines don't work. The office manager is sleeping with all the maintenance men and isn't even discrete about it. No one in office ever answers phone. This place sucks.

I erroneously got this apartment while trying to do a review for Glen Arbor Villas in Los Angeles, which is a very well-run place and a good place to live. I don't see a way to now delete my review, so I apologize to all who read this regarding Glen Arbor Apartments in Va.

Dont do it... you will be sorry!
I have lived here for almost 2yrs. I am moving very soon.... The appearance of the outside is better than the maintenance of the inside! They had one old man cleaning all the buildings and later he was fired. So, with that being said your building would be cleaned maybe 1 time a mth.. twice if you complain! Grown ppl and kids make the place nasty! I dont have a problem with roaches.. one good thing i can say but i have seen them in the building.... Parking is limited... its been times i had to park on the outside of the community when i pay rent on time and work two jobs! Bottom line i regret coming here and you will too! As far as management Aaron was the best! The new manager is the worst! He doesnt care about you or your issues! I called several times and he was never available. I have been in the office numerous times and he would get a phone call and would yell from the back "I'm not here" Go figure! Maintenance is the best! Mike seemed like the only one to do everything for everybody! He was the best!ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Lots of Cockroaches
Since the first few days we moved in, we noticed the roach problem. Everyday we kill at least two a day, sometimes more. That comes out to over 60 cockroaches in one month. I even live on the top floor. In the first month, we've had to get the apartment individually sprayed along with putting our own traps and roach killers around the house and we're extremely clean mind you. Thank God that our lease was only for 6 months so we can find a place not infested.

I haven't moved in yet and I already see problems
Maybe I'm biased but one cockroach is one toooooooo many. I signed my lease at the beginning of this month and I haven't even moved in yet. I've seen roaches galore. I'm on a first level apartment so I guess bugs are to be expected but I'm not a roach person and I've seen several. I informed the leasing office and they had pest control come out and spray but I think because the neighbors are ok with their bugs this is going to be a problem for me for the rest of my one yr lease. They did come out and do something because I saw several dead roaches and I thought the problem was fixed but after being in my apartment for a few hours, trying to clean and everything before my furniture is delivered, I saw a live one in the bathroom and a huuuge one crawling across the stove. This was after I sprayed raid behind the stove so I think I found one of their nests...ewww! The maintenance crew is very friendly, helpful and responsive. They've already fixed alot of things I initially saw wrong with theā¦Ā See More>radaronelson

Great Staff
The staff here have been great. They have always been helpfull and curtious and maintence are always available when needed. I've had very few issues with bugs because they routinely spray the apartments. Prices are affordable for those on a fixed income as well.

warning
this is repost from oct. 10. i found my last comment to have disappeared from the page and i thought it was important enough to repost our experience living at glen arbor apts during our one year lease. In the past nine months of living here I myself have experience and along with my fellow roommates the following:Cockroach, flea and possible bedbug infestations, constant trash in the hallways of our apartment building and on the grounds around our apartment building, loitering of people we assumed are tenants, overheard teens talking about drug scoring, objects being thrown at the front door, horrendous parking ordeals because of lack of spaces, the washing machine facilities being out of service for weeks on end even after management was properly notified, being falsely accused of not paying the rent and an eviction notice being place on our door when it was a clerical error on behalf of the local management staff with not even so much as an apology when it was discovered that it was admin who were in error, the power and water being turned off for maintenance without sufficient notice several times, a package being picked up by a neighbor whoā¦Ā See More>boomcat

No problems
I moved in to Glen Arbor in Nov 2010, so I haven't been here that long. Just a little one bedroom apartment. It is quiet and friendly. I love all of the trees planted all over the property - hence the name. Parking has been tight on one or two occasions, but that's all. I haven't seen any bugs or other pests. The other tenants are mostly quiet people, some have kids, some don't. The grounds are well-maintained. There is no through-traffic because the apartment complex is located on a little cul-de-sac. I don't use the laundry rooms, so I don't know about them. So all in all a very positive experience so far.

I Like It....
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time living at Glen Arbor Apartments. I moved in October of 2009 and I can say the entire experience from looking at the apartment to now has been GREAT! The staff is AWESOME (all of them) from Paula to the maintenance guys to the grounds keeper. Very friendly and willing to assist even with carrying my groceries to my door! I've called for a few items to be fixed in the apartment and its very convenient to do the request online with follow-up emails with questions or just to say the work has been completed. I have no complaints what so ever regarding Glen Arbor- the neighborhood is quiet and my neighbors are very nice. Aaron (Propery Manager) has always been very helpful and courteous. I m very happy with my decision to move into Glen Arbor and would definitely recommend to friends and family (which I have!).

So far so good
This is my second time living at Glen Arbor Apartments. I returned because it's the only place that I could find that would give me the space I needed and was also within my price range. The maintenance staff is excellent. Larry and Mike are very personal and try to make sure that everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. Aaron is also a pleasure to deal with. Everytime I've stopped by the office or have spoken with him on the phone, he's always been very pleasant. My only complaint is the parking. I wish that each apartment had one assigned parking for each leaseholder only.

Chose ANYWHERE but here!
I have lived here since 2008 and I have endured floods, black mold and an apartment manager who treated all of his tenants like subjects or dollar signs. I have lived in great places and awful places and this is by far the worse. I have finally just moved out and was promptly presented with a HUGE bill for damages. How is a two bedroom worthy of 800 of new carpet? Why is there no parking is you come home after 5:30pm? Why should I get no return phone calls if I leave a message? Why do I have to call security to walk me to my car if it's past dark? Do yourself a favour and live on the street...it's a step up.

No Parking Available TOWING IS FROM 6pm to 6 am
Don't move to this place you will hated. I moved with three other people to a 3 bedrooms apartment. The person in the office gave us 4 parking permit but after 4pm we never found a parking space once I parked near the building but was not a parking space and I was waching from my window if someone moved her car so I can park my car there and realized my car was towed away, and another time my mother's car was towed and brothers when we went to complain why they gave us 4 and don't let us know there was no parking they just say just pay the rent. The employees are very rude!! When I was moving out I gave them 60 notice that was until May 9th that is what they want and I found I place on April 20th and told to the person in the office you can offer my apartment because I am moving on the 20th so I don't have to pay until May 9th. Guess what happen the person from the office call me and told me I rented your apartment sou you don't have to pay May BUT youā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Please dont move there...
These Apartments have Black toxic Mold. You will get sick if you move here trust me. Oh and don't think they will help you out, if you complain because they won't they just want your rent. They do not maintain the buildings, the laundry rooms are dirty, unsafe and all the apartments have roaches and some of the tenants complained of bats in the walls. They did not want to spend the money to remove the bats and my son had to sleep in a room close to the bats. They didnt want to help the girl who had toxic mold either in her apartment...they told her it wasn't mold because they didnt want a lawsuit or spend the money to get rid of it...so why do people move here?? Because they have bad credit or have to find a place very soon and they let anyone move in because they know the apartments are horrible.

No way.
I went in as a prospective tenant last month since the apartments were priced so low. First of all, my co-workers all said I was insane for even LOOKING since it's so nasty, but I wanted to see for myself. The person showing me the apartment has been working there nine days and couldn't answer any of my questions. The place looked skeezy from the get go, especially since the carpet was laid too short and there was a half inch gap between the carpeting and the baseboards. Then I opened a cabinet that was a little stuck and found a family of dead roaches. No thank you.

Great Place
Come on people your probably one of the people that got kicked out of here for causing all the trouble. ------ Section 8 People. I would recommend this place the price are fair and the place is quite.I `ve been at Glen Arbor since 02/2005 and Yes it was a bad place to live! People drinking apartments in bad condition and roaches but the people that live here made it like that. The old manager by the name Jeannie was a Btch . But I can tell you that things have change a lot and this place is looking WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better. I just moved to there renovated apartments which are very nice. All of the people that were making this place bad the drinker and smokers are gone. Since the new company took over this place is become better. They put up new lighting which is so much better before there was no lighting the other management office just didn t care about nothing they just wanted to collect our rent. I can say that every maintenance request I had was taken care of right away. I like the new staff there very friendly. ā¦Ā See More>1 BR
