We moved in a month ago and the whole building is infested with bed bugs! The management refuses to treat adjacent apartments because they say that they can only treat the individual apartments as they report the problem, so since not every single tenant reports on the same day (or even the same week) the bugs simply recede into the walls and feast at neighboring apartments and are never taken care of. The neighbors say this has been going on for at least eight months in this building. Meanwhile, we have bagged all of our belongs --and I mean ALL of our belongings-- to protect them from infestation, and we have to live with everything bagged in garbage bags in the middle of each room for the remainder of our lease. We are living in a nightmare where we essentially can't use the apartment, know the bed bugs won't go away (this according to two independent post control services we had come in and survey the property and a landlord/tenant lawyer who specializes in this), have to take a long legal journey to get a judge to let us out of our lease, and my children are continuously being eaten alive every night. We are absolutely traumatized! Worst landlords ever! They don't care one lick about their tenants, nor their tenants' health, children, or the health of the public at large. They also had our car towed and emptied our laundry account in retaliation for reporting them.
