To start off, This place should be shut down. Currently under a lawsuit due to roach infestation. This community is the ------. If the management spent more time with credit checks and background chaecks etc then we wouldn't have a drug dealer or MS 13 moving in one after another. During my stay here I have seen the FBI raiding illegals, the DEA bust some drug dealers, and I even seen an entire floor of tenants hand cuffed on the curb because a police dog led the police to one apartment from a crime scene. Being outside is NOT an option. Between finding girls underwear on the ground to baggies of marijuana, blunts and alcohol bottles everywhere I keep inside or go to a nice park for fresh air. One parking space per apartment yet they turn a blind eye to multiple families living in an apartment creating an overcrowding issue. These are old buildings which is fine except rather than fixing the roach problem by treating the foundation they pay a pest control company very little to waste about 4+ hours of time to spray watered down chemicals on your baseboards in kitchen and bathroom. The maintenance situation seems to be getting better but its always such a hassle to have them fix anything. The staff is mostly friendly but can have some lack of customer experience. Last year was the first year the pool was covered when they shut it down even though it was a month later. In previous year the pool was left uncovered and people would throw clothes, appliances, food and trash in it. I have not only witness drug deals here but I have also noticed that some neighbors will smoke weed like a chain smoker smokes cigs and due to old building structure it seeps into my apartment. I have received notices on my door at 4pm saying that the next morning I need to have all furniture moved from the walls so pest control can get to the baseboards, I guess its assumed we don't have jobs? Also for roach treatment, I have to clear out the kitchen entirely (takes about 2 hours) usually this notice is posted the day before sometimes two days. The floors are creaky and very loud again due to old structure but its not fun at 11pm when I have to wake up at 6am and the basement apartment Is throwing a party. Gun shots will go off at night and I have even listened in to what I gathered was a stabbing in the next building over. This complex has a $300/month budget that I'm pretty sure isn't spent wisely. New washers and dryers were put in the basements of each building and the ones in my building smell like piss so I won't use them. This place should have police patrolling the area all the time but would rather pay Security 88 because the police spook the drug dealers and drug dealers pay rent, well mostly. I have also seen a lot of turnover. A group of people move in and they move right out. Registered sex offenders live here so don't even think about bringing your family in. Stray cats, fox, Cyotes, raccoons, and possums are found in this neighborhood. Anytime an upgrade is promised such as the tread on the steps in each building being replaced it takes a year or more. The office's building is always fixed and upgraded first. The pro for this community is the location and that's pretty much it. They really just need a clean sweep and get more young professionals and families, not the families that are here now whose children are hoodlums. Its garbage!
