Way too many gamers in this place...too much noise with the tv and video game noise...floor and walls are paper thin can hear people walking with high heels upstairs and TV/Game noise downstairs...don&apos;t live with a family here as you will get in trouble for having children or pets. Not a Kid or dog-friendly place to live.

Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton-WA-CMSA

Prior to moving into our Elan Redmond apartment unit, we were apprehensive about downsizing to an apartment after many years living in our own home. We weren&apos;t sure how well we would adjust to urban apartment living. The friendly staff, friendly neighbors and a convenient location made it a positive and easy move for us. I&apos;ve tried to discuss the issues brought up by other reviewers, from our perspective, below:

STAFF- The Elan Redmond has a helpful and courteous staff. We love our unit and the sense of community in this building. Erin has trained her staff very well. Whenever any issues arise, Erin, Janel, or Jose respond immediately and they have become friends. SERVICE is their top priority, from our experience.
LOCATION - This complex is close to everything; Redmond Town Center, buses, restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, nail salons, the Farmer&apos;s Market... It&apos;s a 15-minute drive to Seattle and 20 minutes to Issaquah. MSFT is 10 minutes away. We can walk to almost any service we need.
NOISE LEVEL - If you want a suburban environment, this is NOT for you. If you want an urban location close to serves, expect to have urban noise. We adjusted quickly. 
Inside the unit, I very rarely hear any noise from another unit. It must be well insulated.
APARTMENT UNIT - We downsized from 4600sf house in an executive neighborhood to a 960sf unit and we both love this place. It is light, bright, clean, and amazingly functional. It was not a hardship to leave so much space behind. It was a huge relief. We bought an extra ceiling fan and an AC unit for summer heat. They work well to keep temperatures comfortable.
PARKING - Even with a large van and an SUV, we have plenty of space in tandem parking. 
BALCONY - We have a large balcony with enough space for outdoor eating and lots of planters for potted plants. I even fit my potting table on the patio. Nice sunsets and views.
OUTDOOR BBQ - The amazing outdoor BBQ is always clean and ready for family and friends. 
ELEVATOR - We&apos;ve never had a problem getting the elevator quickly.  It&apos;s always clean, functions well and has never been a problem for us.
GREEN NON SMOKING BUILDING - This is a HUGE plus if you have any environmental sensitivities. No allergy issues for me in this building, which says a lot.
LANDSCAPING - The hardscape and gardens are lovely all year round.

We highly recommend this building, it&apos;s staff, and it&apos;s amenities! Elan Redmond is a great place to live.
