I lived in these apartments for just over a year and got out. The first time i went to the pool the "pool keeper" acted like i wasn't supposed to be there, he was very suspicious of me even though i had my pool pass. I had my 2 children that were with me and the poolman told me to keep the noise down because the neighbors complain, So i go to a pool with kids and I'm not supposed to make noise and im treated like some kind of malcontent that doesn't belong there, remember this was my first time at the pool. So I blew off and moved on. Over the course of time things broke down, like the air conditioner, and a few other things that they knew needed fixing. Maintenance took over a month to fix these things, even after i called over 3 times on most of the work orders they had even lost my work order a few times.. Now for the noise, I was in a lower unit. One good thing the side walls are pretty nice not much noise from them, however, the ceilings are paper thin, you hear of course not just alot of footsteps, but tv,s stereos, alarm clocks and phones in the mornings, and the night time (which is supposed to be quiet time)is even worse for the noise factor, I cant tell you how many times i was woken up by loud tvs, or neighbors going up and down the stairs at 2 in the morning. Also be prepared to listen to alot of sirens from the fire department that is just near by. The people around here complain about each other endlessly, its actually funny to listen to all the gossip and how many people run to the office to make complaints against each other, its like old wash women. Now to the porch area, living on the lower unit is not so much fun, it collects everything, from peoples cigarettes from above, to mud, water and anything else that can come from the people above you , and you are responsible for picking this up. Other negative things. You are not allowed to paint your walls, you cant change the batteries in the smoke detectors (yes you have to rely on their maintainance crew for that), they have rules that you cant run your washer and dryer past 9 pm, of course everyone does, and yes there is a drug and alcohol problem here and around the vicinity. They have even had break ins in their under ground garages. Some positives. alot of parking, people in the reception area nice, and a 1/2 way decent gym, and billiards area.. I have to say this would be the perfect bachelor pad but for families I would not recommend this, there is not much for children to do around here as the streets are very busy and not really any parks close enough for the kids to walk to, Not to mention the constant complaints about younger people from the older community, which i suppose is normal wherever you go.. Best advice i can give: buy a house
