The property manager, ------------- is a complete tool who's tough guy act wore its welcome real quick. When I signed the lease, everything was fine, he was a nice guy, but after the fact he became irritated and quite unfriendly the few times I had to interact with him. ---- fails to realize that he as the property manager represents Blake Capital and most likely will have to deal with reasonable and unreasonable people on a daily basis. It's unfortunate but that's his job. At the very least have the decency to talk to people as people not animals after all we are the customers paying the rent month after month. Also beware, that they will nickel and dime you for some of your secuirty deposit. They took money from me even after I took the time to clean the apartment according to their demands. To us that security deposit money means groceries, bills and gas money, so for them to steal it, is outright outrageous. And when I try to straighten my grievences with the management directly they back their property manager fully.
As for the apartment units themselves, mainly they're terribly dated from the hideous cabinets, the poor lighting throughtout, the heat never worked right, the dishwasher never worked right, the kitchen appliances and counters were old and cheap for the rent they're asking, there's disgustingly gross brown carpeting throughout, even in the bathrooms, it will make you scratch your head. I would suggest looking elsewhere first and seriously, stay away from any Blake Capital Corp owned apartments.
One last piece of advice be careful when moving things to second floor, make sure you're able to move everything easily in and out because the management won't help you with that. They might help you move say a couch that won't fit through the front door in initially to get you to sign the lease but after that you're on your own and ---- will be sure to be a ---- about it so don't ask him because everything annoys him.
