Loved living here
Lived here over a year and it was my first apartment in Madison. I have nothing but great things to say. I absolutely loved living here. The best thing was the property staff which honestly matterās especially hearing horror stories from other properties. All the Orosz Properties staff are absolutely incredible and super helpful with any of my needs. They make it feel like family here! Drew with maintenance was so responsive within minutes he responds in the portal and always super friendly. I always felt super safe in the area, and they try to keep the areas super clean. Any complaints from people are due to residents not being respectful of the property which can be frustrating. The units were newly remodeled when I moved in which was so nice ! I hope residents continue to maintain the property and keep it nice! Only reason IĆ¢ā¬ā¢m moving is being closer to work and my friend and looking for a change!ā¦Ā See More>Amanda0324

I loved living here!
We lived here for a few years. It's now managed by Orosz Properties, and they do a lot better job than the old owner Duke. Mellissa and now Matt in the office have always been really helpful. Drew and Steve have been awesome and prompt for all of our maintenance needs. The apartment itself is really nice and the community is very peaceful and friendly!

I've been renting from Duke (the landlord) for two years now and have had a wonderful experience. The prices are higher than some of the other nearby apartments, but the service is incredible and the building is very clean. Duke takes great pride in his building and his work and it really shows. He responds very quickly to any concerns that arise, and has been a pleasure to rent from.

This is a great place to live in Madison. It is clean, spotless. The maintenance staff is great and super attentive - sometimes they take care of the issues on their own. Duke is a great landlord and is super flexible and very kind. I would recommend this place over any place in Madison.

outstanding place
I have rented places across the country. This is the best place I have lived in my life. Extremely clean and very prompt. All furniture is always new. Everything is repaired and taken care of, periodically checked. Duke is always on site and available. Duke is also a gentleman and always flexible with dates, repairs and demands of his tenants - always giving them whatever they want. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great place to call home
I have been lived in this place for more than 4 years now and I feel that I owe Duke (the landlord) this review for a long time. I still can hardly believe that they clean the building every, every day!!! Most of the time, I feel guilty as the public area is always cleaner than my home. The landlord is always there when you need him. He will help you sign packages and deliver to your home. Rent include utility but the landlord is always generous enough to start heating or AC very early in the season. The crew for this apartment is so nice that they sometimes even help to clean the snow on your car and if you live in WI, you definitely will know how much snow I am talking about. Most importantly, the landlord and the whole crew respect every tenants, which at least makes me to feel like a home and treat the apartment like a home. The only pitfall I can think of is that sometimes I will have some small tree bug in my apartment like couple times a year (maybe they came into the room when I opened the door to the balcony). I will leaseā¦Ā See More>madcityrenterz

An excellent place to live!
I currently live at the Shorewood House and have since May 2004. The apartments are located above the Madison English As A Second Language School (MESLS). When I was coming to Madison for graduate school, I knew from the moment I walked in the door that this was the place!

The apartment was very clean and things looked rather new. I was surprised to find out that it was actually about 15 years since it had been redone--the landlord is very particular about who he lets in. Also, he doesn't like people to wear their shoes on the carpet (it is beige). In my apartment (an efficiency), I have a nice bathroom, a huge closet, a 'corridor' kitchen with a one-well sink w/ garbage disposal, a two burner range, and a normal-sized fridge! Furniture is provided, but if you have your own there is no big deal about having it removed. Also, heat, water, and electricity are included. Parking is $30/month, T1 Internet for $20 plus $.002/Mb, cable for $30 or 35. Pets are not allowed.

The hallways are vaccumed daily. The laundry room is onsite and cleaned daily.
