My experience at this apartment has been nice, not perfect, but is a comfortable place to live! It's very quiet, maintained, & staff are very pleasant. The price of rent is about suffice to the units, except that I am paying more than new tenants in the same units which has me confused. Overall I am happy to live here. One thing that can be improved is communication. The front leasing office is nearly impossible to get ahold of by phone since there's no direct line, then usually when I go downstairs to see them in person it's usually empty. It would be beneficial for the safety & wellbeing of tenants for someone to be present in case of an emergency.

You need to rent to young professionals who are nonsmokers. There are 2 different cigarette types of smoke getting in my apt, and the hallway smells like a drug smoke. I recently saw a young ---------------- girl and her Mama setting up to rent an Apt and that is potential partying right there. They are too young and they dont care and are of a particular race.. It KILLS PEOPLE to put up with the second hand smoke. Apts are not for social time nor community time, they are private individual residences. Sanctuaries.

It's ----. They tow your car. Homeless people in the streets vomiting and shittibg on the sidewalk. People inside the apartment complex who get drunk and can't control themselves, act loud asf, puking in the hallways.

The location of the apartment is very nice. The inside of the apartment is also very nice. I live by the trash and the entire hallway stinks. The trash piles up routinely. The trash door is off-line at least once a week. The maintenance of the building has not been kept up. The walls are beat up. There are holes. Elevators go uncleaned after a dog urinate in them and they smell. I recently had a few guests over to use the rooftop lounge, a selling point, and none of the fire pits have propane or would start. The package program is a mess. It is very difficult to get packages. We are in between lock systems so depending on where you're at in the building, you may need your phone or one of a couple of different codes. Management does not respond to email or follow up on phone calls. The doors to the garage do not lock, depending on what floor you're on. I've complained about this since the day I moved in. Not fixed yet once later. And quite honestly, my apartment routinely smells of weed. I don't know which neighbor I have that smokes, But it is throughout the complex and in my actual apartment regularly. The hot tub and pool are nice and well maintained. The gym is nice and well maintained. The landscaping is well-maintained. It is quiet and a nice place to live. If they could get on top of the smell issues, lock issues and trash issues.

Every night the garbage smells the halls. Other than that it is nice. Get rid of trash valley. Workers are all nice and never had a problem with anything. Very nice gym that I like to utilize. I would recommend.

Honestly impressed with the promptness of work orders. How thoroughly they clean the place on a regular basis. Stayed in a few apt communities like this, but this only one that puts on regular events.

The management team and maintenance team are absolutely HORRIBLE. I have work orders that have been outstanding for months. I have contacted the leasing manager numerous times, and all of my work orders have not been resolved. I have had washer and dryer issues for months, water damaged baseboards in both bathrooms and a host of other issues. This is the worst apartment building EVER.

We love it here! Staff, including maintenance, are always friendly and responsive. We enjoy the amenities, community events, and quietness of this complex. This is my favorite apartment I've lived in (and I've lived in more than my fair share of apartments).

Once it went from The Haverly to MAA it's been all down hill. Pool is always dirty and the hot tub looks insane. The haverly would always have community events and the staff was super helpful. The only person who's helpful at MAA is the one at the front desk, she's very good

Posting "tow" signs at the EV chargers is useless when the building does no enforcement on gas cars who block the EV charging spaces. The dumpsters left in the driveway for days on end is unacceptable. The general upkeep of the hallway paint and carpet leaves something to be desired. Please paint the walls and shampoo the carpet. The hot tub is filthy and needs more regular cleanings. Why is the light left on overnight in the package room? You can clearly see all the packages from outside and its asking for someone to break in.

EDIT 1: Management is trying to charge me $300 for "painting damages" and $900 for "carpet replacement & damages." I have been refuting these charges, going back and forth with what seems to be corporate management? This property currently doesn't have managers - they all left! I was the first to live in this unit and kept it in immaculate condition. I even had the unit professionally cleaned before I left. I know my rights and I know the law. They are not allowed to charge you for "normal wear and tear." These charges are illegal! I've sent at least 10-12 email communications trying to fight these charges and all I get back in response is, "please pay your final statement balance." This company are such robots and have no remorse or care for their actions. I will be leave negative reviews and filing a complaint with the BBB and AZ Dept of Housing. MAA thinks they can get away with stuff like this. If you've been charged incorrectly, file a complaint! The property looks nice. The gym is pretty good. The rooftop lounge is nice and has good views. The pool is decent. When I first lived here under the name Haverly.. management was awful and rude. Terrible, terrible experience. The new company under "MAA" isn't much better. Rahwa is the only nice person there with exceptional customer service skills. Anyone else isn't very pleasant and Management hides behind a computer screen, their phone, and in there office. You have to pay $50 per person to park in the parking garage.. and the gates hardly ever work. The 2nd gate that needs a barcode/scanner to get in only ever worked 2 months out of our 14 month lease. When I tried to get a credit for this, management wouldn't do so. Moved out in June.. and it is still not fixed to this day. 12 months later. The dog park is never clean and always has dog poo everywhere and smells terrible. Dogs have also peed and poo in the elevators as well and they aren't cleaned very well. Trash is always left in the hallways. I swear, management never gets up from their desk to do walks of any kind. The valet trash only picks up 2 *BROKEN DOWN* boxes and 1 bag of trash. If you have any more, they just write a note saying you have too much trash - like what?! The parking garage constantly smells because of this. The trash is always overfilled and the property refuses to utilize the TRASH CHUTES THAT WERE BUILT ALONG WITH THE BUILDING. There have been multiple police visits to the property.. domestic violence that ended bloody in front of the parking gate, constant homeless people skulking the property, cars being stolen from the parking garage. ESPECIALLY with the parking garage gates not working properly.. just not a safe property. Good luck if anything gets stolen from your car. Management won't help with anything. I had work equipment stolen from my truck and still haven't gotten this issue resolved. They tried to make bogus charges to me that weren't even on my lease! If you know your rights, call them out and document it. After they tried charging me (illegally) I called them out and they removed the charge. Also, their package system is terrible. They store excess packages in a storage closet and leave it open for anyone to walk in and grab packages. They keep it unlocked/locked at inconvenient times as well. You're better off living at a mark-taylor property. I've never a bad experience with them in the 6 years I lived at their apartments.

I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life with MAA Property Management. The staff are friendly and helpful. Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulbs, servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment.

This question is a little too general for me. My experience has been fine, but I don't think the amenities are worth the amount I have to pay every month. I disagree with the apartment strategy of always raising prices for existing renters even when new renters are coming in at a significantly lower rate. It's greedy and predatory.

Overall the MAA Central is great. The new property management company has transitioned very well and is seems to be addressing most issues, however there a couple areas that have been neglected. The parking garage has never been cleaned once since I have moved in on October of 2022. The ground is so filthy that the parking lines are indiscernible which I believe leads to terrible parking habits by the residents in what's already extremely tight parking spaces. A street sweeper or power washer would make a huge difference there. Also, the general upkeep of the hallways have also been neglected. The walls which are being damaged by residents have not had repairs to patch holes or paint in way too long. I understand that's not something that can or even should be done every day/week, but maybe once a month? If I were touring the property for the first time it would stick out to me quite a bit.

Experience at the community has not been the best, we will absolutely not be renewing. This is nothing against staff or the new owners but the residents don't care about the property. Dog ---- left everywhere, halls stink, garage left out all weekend. There's no reinforcement or repercussions for not following the rules.

My living experience at this apartment has been fine, but nothing more than anywhere else I've lived. I chose this apartment based on location. When the location is no longer convenient, I'm moving out.

The location is exceptional, has the Valley Metro in the corner and you can be in the downtown in 15 mins. The construction is very solid and the apartments has very good appliances. The common areas are good but in some areas there is a lack of maintenance and cleaning.

Overall it is very nice, cleaned regularly, has great amenities, and is in a great location. The proximity to the light rail is nice and it's relatively walkable compared to most areas in Phoenix. Also, I pretty much have not heard any of my neighbors.
