I have lived here about a year now and I hate it! Like the previous review said the gates are never working, staff is rude and don't know what the hell they're doing. The "Manager" never comes out of her office when there is a problem and the other staff just says we will let the manager know and contact you when we get a response, really the manager is sitting in her office! Oh lets not talk about maintenance they ride around their golf cart on the phone all day and our work orders are not done right away. We have to keep calling the office to know whats going on, and the answer we get is they are working on other priority work orders. What is priority work orders, being on the phone? I don't recommend these apartments to anyone it is unsafe, infested with roaches, and staff is extremely rude!

AVOID THIS PLACE! We rented this apartment only because it was referred by my husband's relocation company and since have called to strongly recommend they take it off their list. I would not recommend it to anyone due to the living conditions, staff, and overall area. Our apt. was infested with cochroaches, which we were told were just "sewer bugs" by two different staff members including the manager. As if calling them "sewer bugs" made it sound better. Two different people said they were all over the Antelope Valley and everybody had them. I have since asked many people- no one has said they have problems with cochroaches- it is the area that apt is located in and the unsanitary conditions. They were unwilling to call their exterminator in before one week due to his regular visit, and only called after repeated attempts at getting them to see what a health hazard this is for my family which included my two small children. Their gate never closed at night as it was supposed to- when I brought this up, the manager said she wasn't aware of it since it was on a timer to close at night after office hours. This means anyone can come into the apt complex during the day- seven days a week. Almost every time we were there, a police car was seen. One time two officers were running into an apt with hands on their guns. People speed all throughout the parking area, when I brought this up, they said there were posted 5mph signs up everywhere but there wasn't a way to enforce it. There is not ONE sign anywhere, which I also brought to their attention. Our alarm system never worked, but we had to pay the deposit anyways. There is a gaping hole under our door leading to the garage, which needed a door sweep but it never was fixed even though I mentioned it to two different people and said it was probably an area cochroaches were able to get in the apt. Obviously this wasn't considered a necessary thing to fix. I felt that I basically ended up paying an obscene amount of money just to tell them all the areas that needed to be fixed just to improve it, but I honestly feel nothing can be done to make this a place I would ever live in. We did not feel safe, and since they were not willing to fix the many problems immediately, we decided to just give our notice and fork over the money to stay at a hotel until an apt opened up at a decent complex. I would give a rating of 0 STARS if I could for every area listed.

this place is ------
Don't be fooled by the looks of it and nice friendly staff, as I was. Just moved out of there a couple of months ago after my car being vandalized, (and several other neighbors) my rent check being stolen out the drop box (which they had no compassion for and stiil charge, d me a $100 late fee, as if it was my fault their drop box isn't safe). They have no compassion for they're ran by a management company. There's people hanging out in the front weekly almost. I will never rent from an apt that has a management company again in life! Not to mention once your lease is up you have to pay an extra $150 month to month fee if you don't renew it. And $100 late fee flat, if your even 1 day late. Read that contract thourghly. Once your in, the office staff attitudes changed in my opinion. They weren't as nice, I'm being nice, they were rude to me, and I felt like my issues were not relevant. I'm sure I missing a few things, but hopefully this will help someone out from making the same mistake I did!!

Thankfully I am an ex-tenant
I sadly lived there for 1 year. The office people are not helpful, every complaint you have they try to turn it around so it is your fault or problem. The grounds are done on tuesdays and it takes all day. You get to look at a clean grounds for a few hours that night. The next day it is filthy again. Trash, beer bottles broken in different areas. Tenants are selling potato chips and candy still with nasty signs on the doors to advertise it. And their every thursday selling of pizza in front of the office. It is like they do not want the people to get out and be seen. Like caged animals is the way I see it. They even had signs out for FLU shots. The grown men who stand around smoking dope and drinking is outrageous, at any given time there is 5 to 20 guys out on Kirkland. The teen boys are beating up the little guys. Pit bulls all over the compound with 70 pounds boys trying to walk them. I was scared for my life. When I open my bathroom doors or closet all you get is the terrible smell of weed from the guys upstairs. The noise they make you are always worried about them coming thru the ceiling. Have to leave air conditioner on just to recycle the stink of weed. The crazy neighbor that has 15 people living in the apt. There is no control of anything in that compound. And try and get your refund back is impossible they jack the repair so high you just say **** it and forget about your honest refund. Oh and walk around and look at the windows most do not have screens because they are put on so poorly, they do not fit properly but that too is our problem. It is a hell hole and they should be shut down and put out of business.

THEY TOLD US THAT WE ARE THE NUISANCE....
...and the neighbors above us are the Nuisance with there Super Loud Rap Crap, they stomp on there floor when we ask them nicely to turn it down and they give us attitude when they were the ones that told us when they first moved in that "If the music or noise was too loud to feel free to ask them to turn it down...My wife was threatened by our neighbors and now she is affaid to go outside with our kids, My car was vandalized but the same people and Management tells us to contact Sheriffs cause there isn't anything that they can do about anything, that is out of there hands. The Sheriffs said that this is an issue that Management has to deal with and that these calls are a waste of there time...WE REALLY F***ING HATE THIS PLACE, ITS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE, I HOPE THIS PLACE GETS SHUT DOWN FOR THERE BULLS**T.

Not a place to live.
Have been here about 1 year. It is not a place to raise a child, unless you want a who-rat and drug slinger for a child. There is no control of anything. Smoking pot at the pools, drinking beer foul language around the kids at pool. No respect for your vehicles, sitting on then at night, kids riding bikes around them, adults slamming their car doors into your car on a daily basis. Pools are filthy 80% of the time, same filth is at the bottom 1 hour after they have cleaned it. People selling candy and chips from their apts.trash everyplace. Have experienced kids burning traffic cones behind the garages. Setting newspapers on fire. The playground area was torn down because teens destroyed it, where was security??? Oh I know they are hiding in the gym. Yes I have seen them. Yet we can not use the gym because of vandalizm and they will not change the lock because the company is out of business and would cost them some money to put a new lock on. Cameras removed, lights broken. And the water waste from all the broken sprinklers that are on all year rain or shine. The sheriff know me by name almost every thursday, friday, saturday we have to call them out. The giant roaches around your cars are sickening and once again there is not much we can do. We spray the outside. My neighbor has complained she has roaches crawling on her in bed. They sprayed those 4 units and moved them to every other apt. The blatant drug deals that happen 24 hours a day, we tell office and security yet they are still selling. Move 1 out of a unit and he moves 2 buildings down. So now the pot smell comes from the east side of the compound. Yeah for me. Locking the gates only after the office help goes home. So all day the creeps come in and out all day, it is a great security system don't you think???? The laundry rooms are nasty bugs and not always unlocked in am, half the time security does not close them either.

All in all, nice place. Large floorplan
I am in the military, and my family and I stayed at Sienna Heights for about a year and a half while I was stationed at Edwards AFB. I was impressed with the large floorplan, by far the biggest living room that we looked at in Lancaster or Palmdale. They didn't have any 3 bedrooms, so my 2 kids bunked together, made for some interesting arguments, but we made do. Parking is assigned, you get one spot, ours was pretty close to our unit, my wife parked in an unassigned spot nearby. Pool was great in the Summer, Lancaster can get into the 100's, so it was great to have the pool outside our front door. We had issues with the upstairs neighbors and noise, but management was quick to handle it, and we never had a problem again.

Getting Worse !! Stay Away !!
We lived here for a year plus and it had gooten so BAD with all of thge GANG ACTIVITY, the DRUG DEALERS, the LOUD RAP MUSIC, and even though the SHERIFF'S are called EVERY SINGLE DAY for a number of reasons it's STILL GETTING WORSE !! The management DOESN'T CARE AT ALL, BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIVE AT THE COMPLEX...THEY WOULDN'T DARE, THEY KNOW BETTER. Anyway, we had to BREAK OUR LEASE TO GET AWAY FROM THE GANGS AND THE THREATS MADE AGAINST OUR FAMILY !! DON"T LIVE HERE...DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT !!

Not a safe place
Man, I can't believe that "person from chicago" (probably one of the staff trying to make this place sound great because of all the bad reviews) says this place is soooo good, great, and "safe". Yeah, prior to 3pm it looks "safe" because everyone is either on their best behavior while the staff is there, or the hooligans simply haven't woken up yet. After 3pm, all the ghettoness comes out!!! Blatant drug exchanges, thugs/hooligans everywhere constantly and LOUDLY cussing, dropping the "N-word" amongst each other, kids with no respect/proper upbringing talking badly and causing a ruckus, and every thug here thinks that everyone else whats to hear their LOUD filthy rap music blazing out of their cars! Safe, I think not. A place to bring up your children, no!!! The management doesn't even care. The Sheriff's Department are here LITERALLY EVERYDAY!!! Not an expression; I mean they are seriously here everyday because of various crimes and domestic disturbances!!! It seriously never ends. When I moved here a year and a half ago it wasn't like this!!! Add to the fact that if something is wrong in your apartment, if its not what management considers "essential" to provide, they won't do it. Electrical sockets/switches not working, forget it because its not "essential". Roaches infested in you apartment, too bad because they "can only do so much". This place sucks. I am moving out in a few weeks and never looking back. For $50 more a month there is a BRAND NEW townhome apartment complex on Ave. K and 8th street east called "Quail Crossing" and its only 3/4 of a mile away if you're looking for a townhome-style rental. More square footage, painted walls, granite countertops, upstairs laundry room, 2.5 bath, backyard-patio, upstairs balcony...I'm moving there!!! Sienna Heights can cram it.

Sienna Heights is a great choice to rent an apt!!!!! I recently moved from chicago to california and im in love with sienna heights. The sienna Heights team has been nothing but helpful to me and the manager is a doll. They have truely made my living experience here a great one. I highly recomened Sienna Heights if you are looking for a crime free enforced community,Fitness center, dog area for your pet! as well as 3 pools good for when its so hot here in california.

Nice place!
I lived at Sienna Heights for 5 years. My wife and I had 2 children in that 5 years causing us to need a bigger space. There were several management changes, but otherwise the staff always was really helpful and polite. The landscaping is real green, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet, considering it is a large apartment complex. There are 3 pools, and they were always clean. The gym was nice too, just wished it opened earlier so I could have worked out before work. If we ever needed to live in an apartment again, this is the first place I would go.

DO NOT MOVE HERE
yes the apartments look great inside, the maintenance was prompt on fixing stuff and all the appliances are new...but is that worth getting robbed and waking up to cops every day. there were shootings and constantly people getting jumped. big gang issue. there was a cop at least 5 times a week in front of my apartment. drug dealing and people smoking weed on the steps. constantly noisy with ------ people there screaming and fighting in the middle of the night. when i went to turn in my keys after i left after a shooting the management told me that they know about all the drug dealers and people who are robbing people and they are tenants of theirs and they know exactly what apartments they live in but they aren't doing anything about it! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO STAY ALIVE AND KEEP THEIR BELONGINGS.

Don't even think about it!!
If you are inclined to move here because of the low rent....forget about it....keep driving. This is without a doubt the worst place to live and/or raise a family that I have ever seen. There is trash littering the grounds, dog poop, street thugs wandering around and generally low life people. They do not care about anyone except themselves and they don't care much about themselves for that matter. They have turned a once mediocre place into a real live ------. Management is weak and refuses to deal with problems like loud music, drugs, etc. I'm moving out very soon and I am counting the days!! I can't believe I have managed to live here as long as I have.

It isn't a place to raise you children !!
My family have lived here for 1 1/2 years. During that time 8 of the apartments ahve been burglarized and our car was stolen !! The office personnel is indifferent to the problem and wil not permit us to install interior security bars on our windows. Our neighbors deal drugs, smoke pot in the commons and we have a big problem with truants with gang affiliations and again...the management doesn't seem to care. Our rent has increased to $1000 per month while the move-in rate has decre4ased to $770 as a ploy to get new unsuspecting renters to commit to a lease. Losing us as tenants is more economically viable for them than losing all of the riff raff that populate the complex. my family is very unhappy with oiur choice to move here and we plan to relocate to a SAFER community as soon as our lease is up. Oh, the laundry room rate is now $3.00 per load Thank You for reading :O) Ninjadad36

Didn't realize it was the ------
The staff has done a great job of remodeling the place, so you really can't tell how horrible it is. Loud neighbors, 'security gates' that often don't work, people smoking pot outside, constant loitering, constant police force. Someone was also recently shot down the street and the guy who did it lived here. The cops raided the apartments and I couldn't even get in my own gate for hours. Although the staff and management have tried to turn this into a nice place, it just proves you can't take the ------ out of some people. Can't wait to move!

These are the worst apartments ever. Lived here 3 months and almost every morning going to work there are cops on the culdesac of the apartments. Someone was also shot and killed in one of the apartments. Severely regret ever having moved there.

PAID ACCOUNT TURNED OVER TO COLLECTIONS!!
After leaving Sienna Heights, I paid the account off in full, on time, but for some reason the account was turned over to collections. I asked the management in person to fix it, they promised to after seeing the scan of the PAID CHECK. Then they completely ignored it and have blown me off twice when I call. I'm not sure yet if this attempt get two payments out of me is criminal or just incompetence. Before this, while I didn't love living there, I thought it was adequate for the price, though I really worried about the one vehicle that I had to park outdoors and my wife never left the apartment at night without already being in her car when she opened the garage door.

You like sleeping? You wont get to once you move here. Yah the place "looks" nice, but the crime is terrible, my car was drilled through the key hole, one of my drunk nieghbors kicked my door down and the other tried to fight me when I was pulling my parking space one night. This place is trash! im moving out the second my lease is up. I am so outta here!
