Management team at this location is great! She is super nice and very helpful when we moved in. I really like the location of the complex and the maintenance team keeps the outside clean. They seem to be on top of their maintenance requests!!!

Ownership has changed since buyout, obviously. Grounds aren't well maintained, abandoned cars in parking stalls etc. I also do not get answers back via email promptly, if at all and this survey show.

It bothers me that I cannot finish this survey without filling this out. I do not like my information posted. This is a nicely located, neat and quiet community. I love having the park across the street.

Beautiful community in a lovely part of Santa Rosa. Easy access to amenities in the neighborhood and the elementary schools in the area are top notch. Howarth Park is across the street with acres to hike and enjoy.

Great community, staff is always nice and helpful when addressing any issues. Maintenance issues are quickly addressed and I've always been kept in the loop if the issue takes longer to fix. I love that they allow bigger dog here and the community is very dog friendly!

Everything is well but maintance. The maintance guy does not work on time and a professional manner. We would like when we request maintance order that it would be done. We have not hot our stove fixed over 3 months

We love our apartment and the location. The general management and property upkeep could use some improvement. The property is supposed to have overnight security, but I've never seen them in over a year of living here, and several instances of vandalism have been reported over the past few months.

This is a well-run complex. The staff are responsive and professional. I would move into this community again. I don't have any more to say so this last sentence is just to get to a minimum of 200 characters.

These apartments feel like home. I've lived all over from luxury high rises to waterfront apartments in downtown Seattle and San Francisco and nothing has ever felt like Spring Lake Apartments feels. The location is beyond perfect, especially for family outings. I truly love it here.

Look I don't want to provide a review so I am going to type here until I have provided the minimum number of characters. This is not the right way to ask for a review from a tenant. If you want one, please do so with more subtlety.

I enjoy the space inside, and outside my apartment at Springlake. Walks to the very nearby Howarth Park, the coffee shop and restaurants all within blocks make this a great place to live. Healthy shopping choices are close and easy to get to.

Overall we have enjoyed our residence here. We were married in 2014 with family and friends on our back patio. Maintenance and management staff have been very good to us for the most part over the years with only one exception in 2023.

The community and apartment feels like home. Many apartments are created to house residents for 6-12 months. Spring Lake feels like it's developed to be people's homes for long-term stays. I've been all over the nation and have never felt as home as I do here. My wife and son have said the same since moving here.

The apartments are relatively affordable but property management and maintenance is lackluster. I have recommended several friends to this complex who also live here now. The other tenants in my experience are mostly friendly and respectful of community spaces.

Don't live here. They can't even keep a maintenance person on staff and refuse to allow them to properly maintain the property. The last two maintenance people quit within a few weeks or few months. There has been a murder and two suicides since I moved in.

Excellent Maintenance Leader
Spring Lake Apartment homes is a real nice spot. Pet friendly, spacious, nicely refurbished homes. I would like to specifically shout out to Daniel Oritz, who is always a pleasure to work with. He is communicative, respectful, friendly, and efficient. Spring Lake Apartments are lucky to have him on their team, as are we residents lucky that he is here to help us.

I've lived at Spring Lake apartments three different times, I can't help but come back! Ashlee and Carlos are very friendly and professional. Anytime I need help with my apartment, or some other matter, they respond quickly to my requests and they always exceed my expectations. Most of the time things are done the same day I contact them. It seems that Ashlee can always find a way to work things out. She is very intelligent and truly wants what's best for me. I've loved all the apartments I've lived in at this complex. They are very spacious and the neighborhood is quiet. I never hear barking dogs, loud parties or any type of disturbance really. A couple months ago I had a problem and Ashlee responded to me even though she was out sick! If she can't help me herself she always finds a way to meet my needs. Besides all that, there is a beautiful park across the street with running/walking trails and many other activities to offer the whole family! Excellent place to live!

I moved from Virginia to Santa Rosa. Had a hard time finding a place because I didn't know the area. Ashlee helped me from start to finish and made my move very, very stress free.

Roomy for an apartment. Staff, Ashlee Weeks and Carlos, were great. The only reason we are moving is because we purchased a home. We started on 6 month lease then switched to month to month. Month to month was expensive. We have paid less for a 4 bedroom house with garage in the past. That would be out only complaint and the pool should be warmer.

RENTERS HAVE RIGHTS~This place counts on you not knowing this or asserting your rights~KNOW YOUR RIGHTS IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lived at this complex for 4 1/2 years and it was a long 4 1/2 years of hell. The management issue is a long standing one, and honestly had I not had one of the units that is a duplex, no upstairs/downstairs neighbors and very few adjoining walls, I would've left as soon as my lease was up. The manager back then hated women and was so rude and unapproachable that I would make my boyfriend go talk to her about issues because she'd be super nice to the men...sexist! The person hiring these property managers must be a super treat if he/she thinks the people hired have any kind of people skills that make people want to stay. The rents are all over the place my neighbor with a 3bdrm 2 full bath was paying less then I was for a 2bdrm 1 bath and the neighbor across the way with a 2bdrm 2 bath was paying more then both of us. My rent actually went up and down 3 times while living there started at $1175, up to $1383 then down to $1240. You tell me how that works...management will say it is fair market price but I'm curious how the same apartment in the same complex can have more then 2 fair market values based on upstairs or downstairs locations. It just doesn't make sense. There was a stairwell that concrete broke on and the railing was loose, it was this way for 10 months even though management was notified, they put up caution tape. An ankle was twisted and another person almost fell..still management didn't do anything, finally a tenant called the building inspector who red tagged the unit and told management "the tenants need to be moved TODAY" I guess it was that unsafe. Tenants they got a better apartment out of the deal but management was even crapper after that. The water/sewage and garbage fees are a joke, however it is more reasonable regarding billing per persons (3 people=$56 apprx per mo) vs. my new place which divides the water use for the building per unit in the building~this is unfair as my neighbor had 5 people vs. my 1) so I wouldn't complain about that. The grounds have some nice areas however the buildings all look shabby and interior workmanship is shoddy to say it nicely. The rules don't seem too bad, but in reality it's run like a prison camp. No BBQ's on any patio allowed (NO BBQ's AT ALL!!!). OLD AC in window type only, doesn't even come close to being qualified as air conditioning that should be advertised. Absoluetly no security and cars get broken into frequently. POOL is often green and unusable in summertime. Upon move out regardless of if you hire a "professional" cleaner or not they will charge you to have their cleaning lady come in and re-clean and charge you upwards of $240.00 for the service, it is their policy which isn't legal, in my instance the maintenance guy told us that the place was getting completely remodeled so not to worry about the carpets and blinds and linoleum, and actually said it looked good when my boyfriend went thru it with him. We had cleaned for about 5 hours, under stove cook top, oven, cabinets, under fridge, bathroom grout, cabinets, wall and windows. No deposit back because their cleaning people had to clean...because get this "the place was filthy" and it took the cleaning ladies 8 hours to clean it. What did they clean for 8 hours in an empty apartment that is getting gutted we asked, and were told "the kitchen cabinet knobs were dirty and the drawers" Holy cow, I want their job, sounds pretty easy to me 8 hours in the smallest 1 butt kitchen ever. I don't think so...I know my rights. I suggest knowing your renters rights when you rent here. If something doesn't seem right (like cleaning deposit-below) you have to confront them with your rights in order to have those rights. They will walk all over the tenants that don't question or know the laws. BOTTOM LINE SUGGESTION: UNLESS YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CHOICE THERE ARE MANY OTHER COMPLEXES GRATEFUL TO HAVE GOOD TENANTS, THAT WILL TREAT YOU AS IF YOU ARE A PERSON NOT A PROBLEM, AND WON'T MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU ARE INTERRUPTING THEM EVEN DURING MANAGEMENT OFFICE HOURS, WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH TENANTS. FIND ONE OF THE GOOD COMPLEXES AND BE HAPPY.

I rented a 2/2 at spring lake apartments for eight years. it was a wonderful experience under the previous management. The current management forced out many of the long term tenants by focusing on new tenants paying higher rent. Too much harassment to deal with for the price. Good place for singles or retired individuals. Families and children are clearly unwelcome. Don't let your kids play outdoors and God forbid you get together with your neighbors for a bbq. I have never felt like such a prisoner in my own home. Do not rent here.

Very Pleased! Recommend
I have been very pleased with my apartment, the grounds and the staff at Spring Lake. I am a Flight Attendant and I lived here years ago when it was Lakeside apartments as well. The Office staff are very pleasant and professional. Every concern or maintinance issue that I have brought to their attention has been addressed promptly. Laura Loftin (Leasing Consultant)rocks!
