I’ve had a great experience living at Big Sky Flats Apartments. The maintenance staff is outstanding—always responsive, professional, and quick to resolve any issues that come up. It really makes a difference knowing you can rely on them. The apartments themselves are another highlight. They’re new, modern, and incredibly spacious, with thoughtful layouts that make everyday living comfortable and enjoyable. Everything feels fresh and well-designed. Overall, this is a wonderful place to call home, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming community.

Be aware

I’ve lived at Big Sky Flats and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing due to ongoing management and security issues. There have been repeated problems with the Carson access system and package room entry. On multiple occasions, residents were notified that access to the package room was restricted due to technical issues. During these outages, deliveries were left unsecured, which led to theft. I personally experienced multiple packages being taken. Management later confirmed another resident had picked one up, but not all items were returned. The building uses an Amazon Hub locker system, yet packages have still been left unattended on the floor when systems malfunction. Management states they are not responsible for lost or stolen packages and will only provide footage to law enforcement. There have also been frequent management changes, inconsistent office hours, portal/payment system issues, elevator outages, and repeated system disruptions. Communication emails are sent regularly, but operational consistency and security have been lacking. While community events are occasionally hosted, basic building operations — especially secure access and package handling — should be prioritized. If you are considering this property, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about: • Package security procedures during system outages • Building access reliability • Management stability • Billing transparency For me, the ongoing pattern of access issues and package theft concerns outweigh the amenities.

The Bulding is safe, people that loves here are well educated and kind! The place looks safe and easy accessible to take metro or buss! The only thing is that the parking space is always full and is difficult to get a parking spot, to live your car in the street is only permitted for up to 3 months, otherwise you get tickets!

Staff was very easy to work with when we first moved it. Very helpful and responsive. New staff doesn't get back to us nearly as fast and effectively. Often requires us going in person to talk to them which is hard when you work all day and the office is only open 11-5pm

Living at Big Sky Flats has been an overall good experience. The apartment was brand new so it was great being the first to have access to the unit. The common areas are mostly kept clean and the maintenance team is very helpful. The issues we have are with the other tenants making a lot of noise during quiet hours. A few of the units that border ours can be overbearingly loud. The walls are thin and we don't have a large unit, so we can hear every song played, every footstep, every loud argument, etc. Sometimes, there is a mess in the elevator and the garbage chutes after the lovely maintenance team has taken time to clean and sterilize it for us all. Other than the very loud noise and occasional mess in the elevators and garbage disposal areas, we've enjoyed our stay in the building.

I think the amount of service requests and response time of those requests were unacceptable for a new tenant in a new building. However, overall the community is quiet, clean & nice. I do think my experience with leasing is not new and should be addressed soon. Especially regarding the timeliness of information being shared about the lease (aka deposit) , how to process the deposit and the different options and the care that goes into handling service requests. Understandably it's the holiday season but as a first time move in but not the first tenant on the property, who's move-in was established weeks prior this was an unacceptable experience. I truly loved my experience with Raphael as the leasing agent, touring the community and having all my questions answered in person or through call/text, the actual process of choosing to live here did not meet the standard that was set.

Unfortunately, my mattress, left in the lobby for less than a week, got stolen when I first moved in. Management had admitted that stolen packages had been a recurring incident in the building and yet nothing has been done to alleviate the situation except for them to release responsibility to the tenants. They also mentioned that security cameras were "rolling" and deletes footages every 24 hours so they were not able to see who stole the mattress (even when I reported it within 24 hours). All these security issues have not been addressed to date.

Enjoy the family of folks who live there. The building is clean and a quite place to live. I like the bike room and the exercising room with the nice equipment for the tenants to use. The roof top lounge is great place to relaxed and have a bit to eat.

It's very peaceful and quiet in this building. Rafael and Tamar are very nice and helpful. Maintenance always responds quickly to work orders. The floors in the lobby and hallways are cleaned weekly. I really do appreciate everyone. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to check out this building.

I've truly enjoyed my experience at Big Sky Flats. I believe I have the best layout with a full balcony. It's a quiet property and I have nice neighbors. The gym is a nice size with plenty of equipment.

Beware

I am one of the first residents. The building went without an adequate property manager during the first few months of my living here which left resident needs completely neglected. Due to an unresolved noise complaint, a physical altercation occurred between residents resulting in one of them having to be rushed to the hospital. The parking lot is a complete scam. You will be paying $200 or more for a public parking lot. In February, I came home to find two U-Haul trucks and a girl crying and screaming in the lobby because she had been scammed into believing she was approved for an apartment. Apparently, someone was able to get three applications approved through the screening process and rented out units to random people. Most recently, there was a shooting, and a stray bullet went through the leasing office. Management never informed residents that the building was impacted by the shooting. When asked if I could switch apartments for my own safety, I was denied, even though I was offered the option to switch apartments a couple of months ago when my neighbor began to exhibit unsafe behavior. Despite this, the furniture in the leasing office has been rearranged to ensure the safety of staff. Building amenities are continuously neglected. The printer in the "office space" on the first floor does not work, and the Carson app that we use to accept packages and buzz people into the building never works either. And don't bother emailing or calling, they will ignore you. And any 5-star reviews you see were written in exchange for 6 months of free parking or were written by someone who doesn't even live here in exchange for God knows what. The staff is completely unethical. Beware.

Been here a few weeks now and it seems like a great place! Jr. 1br are smaller but enough space for one person. The amenities are somewhat small but very nice. The roof deck has a view of the capitol and the Washington monument in the distance which is really cool.

Well, I can't really give you a true experience of this community since I've only lived here for two days, but it was very easy to move in the building is very clean. I've had a lot of packages delivered already and it hasn't been a problem. I think I'll be very happy here, and unfortunately the neighborhood isn't the greatest. I lived in this neighborhood before but hopefully this time a beautiful experience.
