They don’t care
Yall are scum’s deleting google reviews. I was nice about it but now I’m not going to be nice. This apartment complex killed my friends dog. It all started from my buddy complaining about a wasp problem, about being attacked, not being able to leave his house due to swarms of wasps. After months of mentioning the problem, yall yet to have fix the wasp issue and led to my friends dog getting stung and going into anaphylactic shock which got him killed. I’m disgusted of the accountability that yall have and yall continue to post like nothing happend. No condolences, no review back, just nothing but a cold hearted deleted Google review to leave no evidence. Y’all disgust me and I would sue for anything and everything if I could. This has even affected me mentally. Everyone living in this apartment complex, be careful if you have pets, they do not care if you lost your best friend, all they want is your money. Also clean your disgusting walls

Loving it so far
I needed to make a move from out of state for work and the process could not have been more seamless. Since I couldn’t make it down to Florida prior to my move, the lady who was helping me showed me around the complex and a couple of apartments all by FaceTime. It was kind of nerve racking making a move without seeing something in person but luckily everything was just as expected and shown in the video tours. She answered all my questions and everything was handled over the phone, email, and video. I moved in a couple of months ago and have since enjoyed my apartment to the fullest. I have an upstairs apartment right near the pool area facing a tree line which is so peaceful. This morning as the weather finally cools I am able to enjoy my balcony to the fullest. They do little events too that tenants can enjoy food, drink, or drawings which I really like.

Great little complex & close to downtown!
I've been at Elevate since 2020, and I have yet to regret coming here. The property is well kept, it is pretty quiet, not too many kids around, and its less than 5 minutes to get to downtown Mount Dora from here! I also love the amenities they have. The pool area is super nice! Large pool, fire pit, a propane grill that we're allowed to use, and a full gym with free weights as well as machines and cardio equipment. One of my favorite things they have here is an on site dog park! I have 2 large dogs, so this is super convenient to me. The maintenance and office staff are all very friendly, and try their best to help with any issues I may have. The two ladies in the office are a pleasure to talk to. They are friendly, kind, and professional. The three maintenance guys are also very friendly and make me feel very relaxed when they have to come into my apartment to work on anything. They're all very nice. IF I had to give any downsides, it would be that the compactor can get backed up from time to time, and in my 2x1 floor plan, the 2nd bedroom is a bit small. overall, I think this is a great place to live. I have no regrets about moving here & I'd strongly recommend if you're looking for an apartment.

RUN AWAY FAST. DON'T MOVE HERE. NOT WORTH IT
LESS THAN 1 STAR. DO NOT MOVE HERE. NOT SAFE! TONS OF LARGE AGRESSIVE DOGS, off leash dogs attack REGULARLY HERE, crazy/low caliber neighbors that threaten you, office does not care, way overpriced/outdated/small, TERRIBLE parking. FLEAS. SHADY application process NOT lgbtq friendly. no security. has a dog park and no kids park which tells you all you need to know right there. In the 4 months I have lived here I have had more problems than any other apartment and that says a lot. That says an awful lot as I have lived in double digit amounts of apartment complexes ranging from low income to market rate across 4 different states. I have lived in 2 other apartments in this town alone that are better than these. FLEAS AT MOVE IN had to have pest control come. Was told by neighbor multi dogs in this until before me. Neighbors had roaches at move in. Used to be elderly apartments so they are built SMALL. They've always been the smallest yet also the most expensive apartments in this town. WAY overpriced. SMALL water heater so don't move here if you like taking a hot shower even turned all the up and brand new, it won't help. Non energy efficient apartments raise your heating/cooling costs. Breezeways get full of dryer lint as they empty right into the breezeways lol I had a tiny toilet had to make them give me a full size adult sized toilet lol I applied and was told it would be 1-2 days and I emailed to confirm right after I was in the office which unit and she confirmed...took 4 days to hear back from them then she finally says someone else had applied for that one before me (despite her confirming I had applied for that one) but got declined...so basically, they kept me waiting and kept my money and told me I applied for it in case he was denied all without telling me. took 5 days to be approved I didn't have time to go look elsewhere...shady and not to be trusted. TERRIBLE PARKING. Just come see for yourself. Come home after 5 or late on the weekends its common for no place to park/have to hike from the entrance of the apartments all the way to your building. DOGS EVERYWHERE! Poorly behaved LARGE/HUGE dogs that belong to very LOW CALIBER people. They all get HUGE DOGS AND MULTIPLE DOGS. In only 4 months I have seen 3 pitbulls (it says they are banned but when I challenge that I was told they "allow some" lol ok) fighting right outside my door at the entrance to the stairwell, other dogs fighting in the dog park, and I was nearly attacked by a dog this weekend while it was attacking a woman trying to walk her two calm dogs outside. I have videotapes. police reports, etc. A ------- looking man with 2 pitbulls he never picks up after let his attack my neighbors dog and threatened myself and both my neighbors (whose dog his dogs had just attacked unprovoked which I had on tape). Neighbor also attacked by another dog another day. OFFICE DOES NOTHING. The other guy whose dog was off leash this weekend (and triggered another "lost dog" email from the office) came home and instead of apologizing he threatened to kill me if I have to kick his dog to make it stop attacking 2 people and 2 dogs like it was. THESE ARE CRAZY DOG NUTTERS HERE. I have NEVER seen another place so dog nuttery as these apartments. Waking me up at dawn in the dog park barking, crazy dog nut owners feeling entitled to attack YOU and you are the bad guy if you are upset, not picking up after them, etc my neighbors and i won't be renewing. Oh also, the flea market is right next door. They often are allowed on Sunday to have an all day party til 11 pm blasting music you will hear Don't rent --- that's listed btw its right next to the guy with the attacking loose dog/on hill w/no parking, and could have roaches too as its next door to a unit that had them and current tennant has multiple dogs and are trashy looking/loud dogs/leaves trash outside etc it must be gross in there. THERE'S BETTER PLACES IT IS NOT WORTH IT I HAVE TO GET A LAWYER NOW FOR THIS PLACE. SAVE YOURSELF. THEY POST A REPLY TELLING ME TO CALL THEM LMFAO I HAVE, I HAVE HAD A LAWYER SEND THEM MULTIPLE NOTICES REGARDING MY SAFETY CONCERNS I HAD TO GET POLICE REPORTS ON (2) SINCE JAN, AND THE LAST ONE IN APRIL. IT'S AUG AND THEY STILL HAVE NO RESPONDED TO MY SAFETYCONCERN! CALL THEM? LMFAO. good luck. they hired a new girl and still no one answered their phones until she got fed up with the other girl taking off to - the maintenance guy and leaving her with all the work that she quit. never answer or return my calls or my neighbor who just moved and was relieved. i am suing them for slipping bc there is no walkway from the parking lot. i have a landlord tennant lawyer also bc they STILL have not answered my COUNTLESS inquiries or EVEN MY LAWYERS letters regarding my safety concern over half a year of me asking. JOKE. do not post under here saying call you. go ahead and reply to my COUNTLESS emails and my lawyers legal letters, not reviews online, worthless staff.

Wonderful place to live.
Besides the updated apartments, the front office has always provided a friendly atmosphere that didn’t exactly exist at my last apartment complex. I appreciate the level of professionalism, the facilities, the peacefulness, the attentiveness of management, and the location of the property. I am close to my work, and I am short drive to downtown Mount Dora where I have plenty to choose from. So, in closing, this is a wonderful place to live.

Elevate 155 is a small, friendly, homely community. The members of the community are friendly with each other and together we are all a small family. The property is well kept. There are several outdoor lounge areas, a dog park, and a pool. Community staff keep all of the areas clean and free of trash. The community is located in close proximity to downtown and can be accessed via walking or bicycling. The on-site courtesy officer is amazing and helps to keep our community safe and without problems. He is very approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to resident concerns. The leasing staff are friendly and are always willing and able to solve problems as they come up. The maintenance staff on property are very quick to deal with any problems that arise and they are extremely professional. I recommend this property without reservation to any one that may be interested or may be on the fence about moving here. Come join our family.

I've loved living here the past 3 1/2 years. However, the new Property Management' is only interested is profit; not the people. I'm a handicapped senior and I cannot believe that we, tenants of 4 years or more, and don't wish to have the renovations of a new kitchen and bathroom, are being forced to have them this year. Last year we were told that it was optional for us. Last year my rent increase was $75. I'm told that when I renew in June, my rent will be going up a minimum of an additional $235. That's $310 in 2 years. Plus, my water and trash bill is now$50+ and I don't drink it or cook with it! New property management is now billing us, not on our meter readings, but spreading the cost for the total community between all the tenants. I was told, when they started that policy that the rate for 1 person is charged for 1 and 2 being charged for 2, and so on! Then why am I paying $50+ for water and trash? We take the trash to the compactor, it's not being picked up at our door! And, one of the attractions of renting here was that we'd be charged by our actual usage and meter readings. I am being forced out! I'm a handicapped senior and can't afford paying $1285 a month when I was only paying $890 when I moved in on June 16, 2016. The other property management gave continual renters a discount. I was raised $30 and then $5. This property management company feels they are doing us a favor by renting to us! There are so many things wrong with the way they are making it it unaffordable for us to continue living here!

I think people are too caught up in there being so much change going on that they can't see how much BETTER the community has become since new owners. Yes with change comes minor bumps along the way- but who is perfect? As long as this community keeps going in the right direction like it is now, I don't see myself leaving for a long time. Thank you for everything you've done

LOST DEPOSITS AND ILLEGAL BREAK OF LEASE. I paid deposits, was on a two month wait list, and signed a lease for an apartment here. I was 7 months pregnant and excited to move in on a Saturday. A few days before move in I called the apartment complex to ask a question. I was told my apartment was no longer available and they "tried to reach me" asking if my phone number was "555-5551" clearly it's not. They said the best they could do was give me the deposits back IF they found receipts for it.... They had a copy of my signed lease, with my correct phone number. For several days they told me there was nothing they could do for me. I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAPPENED TO. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

we enjoy living at this community. We've been here for about a month. The most important thing to us is that every time they say they are going to help us- they do it immediately! Many thanks to Rachel- she helped us through the application process and the resident portal. We aren't very technologically savvy so she was a life saver. She never made us feel like a bother like some of the previous workers did that were travelers. She's our new adopted granddaughter. The grounds are beautiful and they have done a wonderful job. The entire staff goes out of their way to make us feel like home. We really enjoy living here. We moved here from MA and didn't have a great experience in our first apartment here- but this has been such a nice change from that and has exceeded all of our expectations. Patrick and Patsy Nee

I moved here in 2018, right before the renovations started. I absolutely love what Elevate has been doing to the community. New landscaping, upgraded pool features, they're working on a new business/fitness center. They're also renovating the apartments! I resigned my lease and i'm so excited to be living here for another year.

I lived here about 5 years ago and then my husband and I decided to go back last year. The new owners have really taken into account that the place needed updated. When I moved in 10 years ago it was super nice. When we moved back a year ago, I was not as impressed as before. Since the new owners took over in January I am actually proud of where I live. They are doing improvements throughout the complex and they actually want to assist you and take value in you as a resident. We just signed a new lease for another year because we are so pleased. I am not sure we would have resigned until the new owners took over and it has made all the difference in the world. If you need somewhere to live, Elevate 155 is your place.

I toured Elevate155 as I am looking to move from Orlando to the Mount Dora area; this community has had a HUGE face lift since the last time I drove by the community. I stopped in and found out they just came under new management as of January. This community was not even on my radar when I thought of places to move into in this area, and now after stopping by and meeting the office staff and some of the maintenance team while on a tour, and seeing the new amenities and the remodeled homes-it is my #1 option. Only downside is that they are leased out pretty far! I guess other people see it for the gem it is, just like I do!

Stay away during this company transition it's not worth the head ache. The new maintenance supervisor has a I.Q. of 50 and could not manage his way out of a wet paper bag. So you have maintenance personnel knocking on the wrong doors or straight up trying to enter with no work orders in their hand. And don't bother trying to talk to this idiot because he will just make excues. This guy called a ----------------------------------- tough guy not knowing who he was talking to. I could not help to think about my war days and getting the command to take a person out. During a maintenance inspection I had 7 people tromping threw my place with their boots. Four of them just came in just because, they said nothing to the supervisor just walk in like they pay damn rent, I remained calm. The supervisor thought it was OK to loudly spot check the two workers actually doing the work. I'm thinking If you need to spot check someone take them outside and not do it in front of the customer! I have lived here for six years, keep poking the bear...

We were evicted for non payment of an electric bill that was in the Verandas name and account number, not associated with myself. It was a 156.00 bill. Might i add, i called Duke Energy and scheduled our electric to be turned on in my name 2 days prior to moving in. Paid the deposit as well. Our electric through Duke Energy says, our account and account number was started 2 days prior to us moving in. Why we had to pay the Verandas a 156.00 bill is beyond me. Our electric bill for 1 month was 90 bucks a month. The only reason i found out we were being evicted was I walked to my front door after dropping my son off at school to find eviction papers taped to my door in a ziplock bag with electrical tape. No call from management, nothing!! We went to PA to visit my family for Christmas and went to a memorial service for my husband's mother in NJ who just passed away on Nov 2, 2015. They claim they left a letter in between our door stating all this. We never recieved the letter probably because we were out of town until January 9, 2016 and due to the fire sprinkler people, management and maintenance in and out of the apartments. They also refused my rent and slid it under my door. By the way, we never recieved reciepts for rent payments each month. The only reason i found out this was all due to the "utility bill" is because i called the Verandas lawyer and that's what he told me. They evicted a family with a child over a utility bill that wasn't ours right after the holidays. We had to hire a lawyer as well to clear the eviction off our credit reports, etc.. while going through this process, they are trying to get us for damages. We lived there for 5 months, there were no damages in the apartment and we took pictures of every square footage of the place, the balcony, the air vent closet, every carpet in the place, inside the cabinets, bedrooms, bathtubs, the sinks in every room, dishwasher inside and outside, front door and storage room after everything was moved out!! These people are not nice, steer clear!

One of the worst apartment experiences EVER! Was a walk in application & the office manager gave my husband & I a tour. Showed us a great model. We stressed our concerns about AC functionality, parking and that the place is "clean". I have a phobia of roaches to the point of panic attacks & hives. Was told everything is to par & that we can even pick our color palette! Was super excited!!! Upon signing the lease we specifically asked if maintenance would be accessing our home when we weren't there, concerned for our cats who are not social & have anxiety when strangers are around when we aren't. The answer was only if it was an emergency situation. We picked the taupe color palette. Move in day Saturday! Walls are a dreadful gray, AC does not work, the walkthrough sheet said everything is in good condition. Toilet seats are both covered in scratches, poorly patched holes all over the walls, rug has a visible raised seem in a doorway, several ceramic tiles flex when stepping on them, main entrance threshold base missing screws, storage door will not latch nor lock, dryer vent connector is on the floor behind the dryer so you can't slide your dryer back, fridge is old, dish washer old, AC took 3 days to fix, walls are made of cheap 1/8 inch wallboard. Studs are not properly spaced & hanging anything results in large holes! Here's the kickers!!! AC has stopped working every month & we have the maintenance slips to prove it! They believe it's a leak in the freon and there's nothing they can do. We regularly have to get freon added. Plus, maintenance comes in whenever. The same office manager that told us for an emergency only sited by paragraph the lease back to us that it's whenever!!! Really??? We quoted her back and she told us to read the lease!! Now remember "clean", NO! Silverfish, fleas in the carpet & dirty german little brown roaches!!! I wouldn't go into my home!!! The entire place is so cheaply put together, my husband bought caulking stuff and filled in over 20 holes that lead to the interior walls where they were coming in. Behind dishwasher, stove, fridge, overly large holes for drains and pipes in cupboards. Then we had to bug-bomb the place to ensure we got them all. Was told taupe is a matter of interpretation, never can find parking near my entrance. Can't wait for an animal attack! Now we're encountering many inspections. Fire extinguisher inspections occurred twice this year, & one fire alarm inspection in which they had to come in the apartment. We couldn't place the extinguisher in the hall to avoid them coming in, even though we explained we work odd hrs & may be sleeping. Office manager response, "that's the way we always do it". No flexibility. Just found a letter in my door for one week from today they are doing another fire alarm inspection & a sprinkler inspection in which they will need access to every sprinkler, including the ones in the closets, & to lock up your pets in a room without a sprinkler if no one will be home 9-5 on a Tuesday and Wednesday the week of New year's. Letter said to call office if you have concerns. Called and was told no appointments will be taken, "this is the way it always is". Explained cats will attack each other if locked up in the bathroom all day together (only one bathroom does not have a sprinkler, every room has one & every closet) & she won't say what day they will be at your apartment. There was no empathy, kept talking over me, and all attitude. Seems like they are always trying to find a way into the apartments! No privacy, can hear everything through the walls. Neighbors issued a noise complaint on us for having an "intimate" evening!!! Will never, ever, recommend this place. Looking forward to lease ending. Oh!!! They start trying to get you to renew your lease at a higher rate 5 months prior to the end of your lease! Horrible place, plan to report this place to as many review sites as possible. Everyone should know it's misleading and the office manager is a tyrant in her Sunday best. Fully expecting this place to find a way to try to charge us for every little thing when we leave. So disappointed.

I lived here for 2 years. I loved living here. My favorite things were waking up going to the clubhouse having free coffee and breafast treats. Lots of community events, the staff was tge courteous to me and friendly. Very quiet not that many kids. Downfall, every year they raised sewer bill which they sneak into your water bill. I live alone and had a big bill. I'm disabled and maintenance would come early in the morning banging on my door to repair things then let themselves in. Breezeways was always dirty full of spiderwebs and paper. You can hear everything from your neighbors, showers, toilet flushing and I lived on the top floor. People who lived here when they opened had their rent raised only once $20 because it use to be a senior citizens community but mine went up $20 the first year then $45 the second year. The 1 bdrms do not have a area for washer driers. I was forced to get a 1 bdrm with a den. My car got broken into as well. Lawn service comes at 7:30 a.m.

Not a really good experience; To much noise from the other close apartments. You can hear even hear the toilets from neighbors, the sound of the showers etc....Sandy(sandiest) apartment walk entrance due to lazy maintenance or poor supervision.Apartments hallway walls all full of dirt and bugs, the employees only blower out some of the dirt but they dont use broom to clean the walls OR HALLWAYS. Even the mail boxes are full of bugs, spider webs and dirt ...see for yourself.Water bill expenses too high because of the sewer you get only charge for water like $20 something dollars the rest is for sewer.$120 a month for water plus light bill and rent etc is not worth it. Plus NO car wash or NO vacuum available, also not allowed picnic or BBQ grill in areas.Parking problems due to visitors or too many cars per apartments. Sometimes after 9pm if you came late from work you have to park really far away your apartment complex because there's no spot available close to your apartment.Only one trash compactor and a lot of times get overfloded or stucked and people have to leave the trash all over the place. Residents don't last long there, ones your lease is due they up the rent.Think about it twice before moving to Veranda's ...there's better options around!!!

I moved into Veranda Apartments a year ago. While I was initially impressed with management and the apartment complex on the day I toured, I'm not sure I feel the same way about the place now. First off, I think it's worth mentioning that management and staff seem to be different every time I call the office which can cause some confusion. My other problem is with maintenance which often times will take several days before a situation is either investigated or fix. Parking, while mostly a non-issue in most parts of the apartment complex, is usually completely taken in front of my particular apartment building if I get home any later than 7:00pm. So that usually means I have to park all the way in overflow and walk back to my apartment. The Veranda isn't completely bad though, neighbors are polite and quiet for the most part and the grounds are typically very clean besides the overflowing trash from the trash compactor. Overall, I would say that it is an ok living experience, just not great.

I would NEVER recommend living at the Veranda Apartments in Mt Dora. The management, particularly ---------------, is the most unprofessional and rude manager I have ever dealt with. When I first applied and was calling to confirm my appointment with the manager to sign the lease and they didn't even have my application or my deposit! Thank God I had written a check and had a proof that I had paid for my application and my deposit. They eventually found it but I still had to call incessantly for the next two weeks to get the lease signed. I had already given notice to my other apartment in Orlando and also had to get my child registered for school. Now, in January, I get a three day notice for not paying a water bill. Did you think you had to pay for water when you live in an apartment? And, it never went to my billing address...the bill went to this apartment complex. So, the bill was over $400. Now, every month, I pay not only $860 a month in rent, but $120 for a water bill. (It's actually $20 for water and the rest for sewer) Which means I pay for the mounds of garbage that fills up the over-flowing dumpster every weekend. Also, both my daughter and I have been approached multiple times by the management asking if we live here while using the pool or walking through the complex. How inappropriate! Who does that!? One more thing; I called for bug control a couple of weeks ago. (silver fish; not roaches) The manager, --------------- called me, insinuating that I was dirty and that my house was full of garbage. Bug control is a necessity and mandatory in Florida. The complex is required to provide bug control. I am very disappointed in this apartment; I had a beautiful three bedroom town home in Orlando with a 2-car garage, a washer and dryer, in a gated community for $1275.00 a month. If I had known that this crappy two-bedroom apartment, where I can hear my neighbors turning on their showers and urinating, would end up costing me $1000 a month, I would have rented elsewhere.
