This apartment complex has absolutely no customer service. They don’t pick up the phone, don’t respond to voicemails, and completely ignore online inquiries. You’re basically on your own if you need help with anything. If this is how they treat potential tenants, I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be once you actually live there. Communication is non-existent and it feels like they just don’t care. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere—this place is a waste of time and energy.

Terrible Experience! Stay away!
I would not rent at this property or from the management company - SENTINEL REAL ESTATE CORPORATION!!! I lived in two apartments here. A pipe broke in the apartment above me and flooded mine. In the second apartment, they allowed a bad resident to move above me that walked heavily and sound like constant stomping - this occurred late at night and early in the morning and could not sleep because of it. The floors are thin and I could hear walking in my first apt too. I requested one month of rent to be refunded due to the negative impact on me. They would not. They rather you suffer than them. Disregard any response they leave on this review.

Horrible management who does not care!! I told the managers of the leasing office that my son (8 months old) and I’s lives were in danger and we did not feel safe here. I brought a police report to them showing the threats I had against me and everything. They called me back saying that “this is not there problem and if i want out of my lease I must pay 3 months of rent and a $300 fee first”!! They did not even offer any solutions and make my safety a priority to them. I am blown away with the poor disgusting attitude of the people in this office. Money over safety! Do NOT move here I completely regret

Unsafe and the management is okay with it. My girlfriend and I have been living here for over 3 years at this point; and, for the first 3 years this apartment we have called home has felt safe and we have never worried about our safety or that of our belongings. In the recent couple of months, things have changed. First, our front step decorations were stolen in the middle of the day (okay, occasional things happen). More recently, multiple packages have been stolen from our front doorstep that were left by delivery drivers. When the front desk was contacted for hopeful solutions, they were dismissive; they gave no solutions. They explicitly told us that they could not receive packages at the clubhouse and hold them safe, that they would provide no additional surveillance or security and forbid us from putting up any type of surveillance ourselves (such as a ring doorbell). We find it a touch beyond unreasonable to tell tenants that living here entails a portion of your belongings being stolen and that is ‘just how it is’. We would love to keep living here as this has been a great location, the premises are always kept clean and tidy, the tenants are friendly and respectful; however, having to accept theft as a part of my living situation and being told that no solutions could be offered or allowed is a little too much.

The apartments have thin walls. You can hear upstairs neighbors walking, moving furniture, etc. our neighbor above us in particular puts furniture together or builds something all through the night. I haven't slept well in months. Nothing is done about it. We will not be renewing our lease. Poor quality apts.

I walked into my apartment's laundry/pantry area on a Saturday afternoon to find the entire left wall covered in hundreds of black ants. All the food in the area was packaged and mostly sealed. A small hole had also formed in the ceiling from which more and more ants were pouring in. I had to throw out nearly half of the food in my apartment. When I brought this emergency to the attention of the apartment manager, she informed me that no maintenance staff was available to even look at the issue until Wednesday. Though pest issues are common, I was very disappointed and infuriated by the lack of response to this situation. This was not an isolated incident in my apartment (4103) or for other residents. If you are in need of housing in the Johns Creek area, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere since it is quite clear that immediate issues for residents are not taken seriously in this community.

I'm really supriced to see the negative reviews. I have had nothing but a great experience from the day I applied for my appointment up till present. The staff in the office are very friendly and always so helpful. Any maintenance requests has been addressed quickly and the maintenance personnel are all so nice, friendly and sufficient. The property is very well maintained. I love the valley trash pick up. It keeps the dumpster area clean and nice. You bearly even notice it's there. The apartment I moved in to was well maintained and the club house is absolutely beautiful. And the girls in the office always give my son treats. I love this place and would definitely recommend it. Also the location is a 5 star. Cathy

We are living since 1 year here and we had no problems. We love the staff, they are great. They do always for our comfort. The staff is very friendly. The property is very nice to us. The pool is pretty and clean. Maintence does very great for us.

too small for the amount of rent being charged. No storage area in apartment. No Kids park. No tennis court, smallest size swimming pool, Not enough parking space for the cars. If you come home at 8 PM, sure enough you will not get parking spot in front of your apartment complex. Maintenance service is not available on the weekends should something happen. In comparison to my previous apartment complex leasing staff, this apartment's staff is one fifth polite and customer friendly. Some really rude people work here.

I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.....They are just rip-offs....The Buildings may look pretty, but no sound proof at all....We can hear neighbors talking and everything.... Safety has been a serious issue as well....Someone broke the dial-in box and the gates were wide open for almost 2 months.. couldn't find someone to fix it for that long...Even when the box was passenger gate was open security.... People don't clean after their dogs...I mean everywhere dog the parking lot, dogs off their leash...roaming here and there..Their is a stray cat giving birth to kittens in the property....Don't you think its hazardous for kids who run around... I understand that this is the only rental property for good schools....But don't think abt peace living here....

Absolutely horrible. Save yourself some headache and do not even attempt to live with these thieves. They will find any way they can to make money off of you. Consider your deposit gone once you pay it. Live here at your own risk.... you have been warned.

This complex is just amazing. Lovely people, amazing maintenance service, clean environmental. Leasing office employees are so friendly,helpful. Apartments are really nice and have good floor plans. Pool is very clean and kept up. I am highly recommend this place.

I am not sure why this apartment community is rated relatively low. I lived there for one year and I love it. It is with most beautiful environment I think in all the apartments in JC area. I liked the views when I had a walk in the community and the apartment rooms are very spacious. Most importantly the staff working there were very helpful when you need them. They even helped me find my lost packages mailed to my old apartment address accidentally. They were quick for maintenance. If I have a chance to rent an apartment again in JC, it is first choice.

After reading a couple of the reviews, I felt compelled to write one of my own. We have been living here for over a year and a half as we look for a home and our experience has been a very positive one to say the least. We have an exceptional relationship and Brandon and Ginger in the leasing office and they go beyond the call of duty continually to be of assistance to us whenever and wherever possible. I have never had an issue with lost packages and they have actually retrieved packages from my front door and brought it back to the office bc they knew I was on vacation. I have had some disappointing experiences with some of the tenants here and they have handled them expeditiously and thoroughly. No complaints with the maintenance staff whatsoever. Henry gives my dog serious sugar every time he sees him! When reading reviews I wish we could get a true account of the situation bc they are mostly one-sided points of view. . .it's a REVIEW of YOUR experience. I get it. however, I think you get back what you put in. If you approach the staff, any staff, with aggression or brevity then I will go ahead and assume that you just might get that in return to a degree. Treating people well and with respect and politeness will almost always result in a positive experience. Also, about the noise. . .if you need/want to live on the first-floor bc you don't want to or can't walk up stairs then there is an inherent risk that you will hear your neighbors above. this should be common knowledge in apartment living! you don't like it, then go buy a small house or live on the top floor. I will say that the Sentinel group is very policy driven and they don't like to stray from those policies. Just know that going in. One reviewer complained abt not being able to change apartments due to noise, well, it's pretty clear in the lease that changing units will come with a penalty. Again, the more you know the better. Assume nothing and educate yourself. If you try to sneak a 60 lbs dog in and you get caught and you get kicked out, then that's on you and nobody else! Overall, it's a great community. It's quiet and clean. Too bad there's not a playground for the kids, but everyone seems to make do. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Pros...It is a great location and staff are very friendly. Ms. Ginger helped us through all the process and procedures. Also, maintenance is great and really quite place. Very modern Cons... We live in 2nd floor and we can hear foot traffics from upstairs quite a bit. It has ceiling fan but no lights on living room. Overall, great and quite place.

We have lived at the Oaks for almost one year. This is our first apartment in over 30 years. The management and staff have been friendly, professional and helpful to us in our interactions with them. Also, they've sponsored a couple of get togethers, a Christmas party and summer Luau, which were enjoyable and a great way to meet some other people. They also provide free coffee which is available every day and they have doughnuts on Saturday morning. The maintenance staff has handled all of our requests in a professional and efficient manner and we are totally pleased with them. The unit itself is very nice and comfortable, the landscaping of the facility is beautiful and well maintained. Except for some noise from neighbors on occasion and need for a few more parking spaces, this is a great place to live!

Awful! The apartment itself is gorgeous but the staff is rude and lazy. They fail to respond to requests (e.g. My packages were not delivered and maintenance didn't have out they were in the maintenance garage), misrepresented valet trash as an additional fee but I can't cancel it (sounds like part of the rent), lights are out on the main floor hallway of my building, maintenance makes the requested repairs but never notifies you (how do I know my garbage disposal is now working?). I've been at the complex for just over a month. Can't get my gate code to work. Sent my 16 year old daughter to the office to find out how to operate the gate (office has very limited hours). They have her a code as well but it doesn't work either. During the exchange, the assistant manager was abrupt with my daughter. Normally, I would question my daughter's behavior but I've had a similar experience. The assistant manager called to tell me my 1st rent was late but I paid online. She was quite snippy with me as well. Don't even ask me about is either totally lazy or doesn't care at all. When I arranged to move in, she wouldn't email or call me back about questions. She asked multiple times for my Renters insurance even though I gave her a copy when I signed my paperwork. She denied that my packages (see above) were delivered to the wrong address. She told me to make a claim but fedex won't take the claim until someone checks the apartment. Several days checks but maintenance (who ginger said never takes packages) had it all along. I can't get a breakdown of my rent and there is no online statement. The monthly rent due is shown but that's all and they don't even load that until the last 2 days of the month. I should have expected this kind of service from a complex with a 2.2 rating.

This place have the WORST STAFF members, rude and cruel. They never apologize and have bad reputation. Even though the apartment is well built and nice inside, We had so many problem, the staff members are so unprofessional you will want to move out immediately after having some conversations with them

THE worst apt I've ever leased. Floors are hollow. You will hear people using the bathroom and normal conversations. Security has come out due to this and literally beat on the door so loud it scared my children. I haven't slept in months from the noise above. Dishwasher literally falls out, finish falls off the cabinets, toilets have to be flushed at least twice, knobs fall off the sink. With the exception of the property manager the staff is argumentative and unprofessional. Forget about using online payment option unless you have a long time to spend repeating the steps. Payments have been rejected bc of bad system and still have to pay late fees. If I would have actually read reviews I could have saved myself a lot of misery.

Absolute nightmare!!! the wooden floor maybe aesthetically pleasant to eyes but forget peace with constant noise if you are on floor 1 or 2. /i have not slept in months and the management won't let me change the apartment! their response in - break the lease!! so if you want to come live here be ready for some really unprofessional people you will have to deal with.

This is an excellent place to live. Well maintained area, gated community, no pollution. If you love to go for wooden floor; I suggest to go for this. Everyone in your family will like this place. I lived here for 6 months. I liked it very much. Thanks, Ravindra

I recently moved to GA with my job and I love The Oaks at Johns Creek. It is convenient to work and local restaurants. Large walk in closet and a great open floor plan. The staff has been friendly and helpful. It is nice to have a friendly leasing staff that is willing to help when you are new to the area. Can't wait to show off my new place.

Love living here. I attended my first social (Holiday party) and it was awesome - unfortunately my job is transferring me to FL. Leasing office is so helpful. I have had a very positive experience - very confused by the negative comments on here. Great location. Highly recommend!

Good, clean place to live that is close to everything. The apartments are very nice and the grounds are nice too, mostly surrounded by woods. I've found the staff that works in the office to be "okay", most are friendly and helpful and up to this point we have not had any problems dealing with them. There are not enough parking spaces in one section of the community but there seems to be more than enough parking everywhere else. This is not an issue for us. The clubhouse, gym and pool areas are all very nice and well maintained. They come to your door and pickup your trash bags nightly. We've only needed the maintenance person to help us one time with something minor and he took care of it quickly. The monthly rent for these apartments is high, but overall I would recommend The Oaks at Johns Creek..
