My family and I really appreciate the use of space at Houston Lake Apartments. For the square footage to only just above 1400 and something?it's a really good floor plan layout for a 3-bedroom/2-bath apartment home!

I noticed that we could do better with cleaning the buildings. I see a lot of build up and nests hanging on the buildings. All of the buildings needs a good pressure wash. Staff in the office are amazing but there may be a gap of opportunity with the maintenance team so they can all be cohesive.

So far, this community has been amazing. I've had little to no issues with my neighbors, community, management. Everything has been wonderful. I feel at home here and I never feel unsafe. The police department and courtesy officers are awesome!

The community features are nice: gym, dog park, walking trail, pool. The apartment buildings have obviously been around for a while but up kept pretty well. Appliances are a bit dated but in good working order. The gate has been broken for a while.

The staff is consistently going above and beyond for their residents. They work hard to make sure any issues, big or small are resolved as promptly as posssible. They are always friendly and we know we can count on them.

Overall, my experience at this community complex has been ok with minimal concerns. All concern/issues are addressed with urgency. They need more maintenance crew, however, two guys on property do what they can. The gate stays broken, the trash area is a mess right now but hopefully it will be fixed soon. Overall quiet area.

Houston Lake Apartments is a great place to live and very family oriented. Anytime I have an issue it's always handled professional and efficient. The Apartments are very nice and roomy. With plenty of closet space. It's also pet friendly and has nice amenities.

Not the best experience being here. The maintenance crew half behind the appliances in here and every single month there is an issue. It's unfortunate but this will be the last year we live here. It's also heavy smoking smell in this area and it bothers my allergies.

I thought this was going to be a nice apartment like the model, instead it was filthy on moving in, blinds and screens were broken, garbage disposal making concerning clunking sound, kitchen sink faucet head is not retracting and staying in place, wasps nests, dryer filled with lint, lots of nails, screws, broken glass, sticky goo found throughout the apartment, oily dirty cabinets in the kitchen, carpet not carpet shampooed nor vacuumed before moving in, across the hall neighbors leaving large garbage bags and boxes out in the hallway for two days straight, smell of Marijuana/ weed is very strong in this building for a drug free community that I have to carry my two year old daughter through exposing her, across the hall adjacent neighbors said that they're moving out because of the constant smell of marijuana/ weed and that their new nextdoor neighbors are always partying, cigarette butts and trash all around the property and parking lot litter on the lawn by the front gate? front security gate stays open and hasn't closed all weekend like the front desk staff said would happen? this place is not what was advertised at all?

The neighbors are wonderful. The upgrades that are being made are ok, but with those upgrades comes with higher prices. However, the community is great, and the new management company is on top of everything.

Very helpful staff! I was very excited to move in to the available unit. Selina was very helpful in allowing me to ask questions and see the apartment. The apartment was not perfect and has a lot of patchy work from covering holes and paint, but I like my place so far.

The people that work here are great, but the grounds (away from the front office) are not well-kept. The price is extreme, but so are all the apartments around here. I will say that the maintenance crew is excellent and the people in the front office are friendly and helpful.
