Horrible Living Conditions

The staff at this Property is Sorry and Lazy!! The Property Manager is so nonchalant and air headed! She says no to every serious situation you may have on this property!! Security breach or problems in your home you might as well be your own maintenance person cause the maintenance men Half --- or don’t do ----! No lie!! They don’t fix or replace Anything!!! I mean the property manager herself says she gotta worry about herself! She don’t want to be liable for Anything! So no matter what or how serious it maybe to her It’s NOT!! She will tell you what you want to hear and corporate ain’t no better!! They all give you nothing but false promises or just will tell you straight up No or Hell no they ain’t doing it!! To the old tenants I get why they staying but it’s not worth the misery of this company!! And they going up on the rent when it’s clearly not even worth it when some much work needs to be done they need a Much Needed Thorough Upgrade of the this entire Property!!! To the new renters Pay more to get More!! Cause mountain crest property ain’t it! You getting what you pay for you getting on this property lazy non working maintenance men that works just like their manager they just collecting a check and you can’t live comfortably at all these Apartment are old and need a hell of lot of work on the inside they to be honest they really need a New Owner cause Preservation Management is Not the One Two or Three! New renter’s I guarantee you WILL NOT RENEW your Lease!!! They need management that care! And who care about their tenants!! They don’t have no one that care from the Top or Have any workers that try to accommodate the needs of their tenants they just allow the tenants to be frustrated and make them fix their own problems!! I rather pay more than deal with the stress an uncomfortable living an outdated apartments!! No Lies Told!! Only Facts!!

All I can say is that shae, and the team at mountain crest are the best! I Know I'm going to love being apart of the family here. 10/10 do recommend! The staff is very professional. I plan on being apart of the community for a long time.

Do not move here. I been here for almost 3 years now.i jave had flood come in here from the next door neighbor three times and it caused my floor to damage and now they saying I am responsible for fixing it. They claimed to have seen my children on video throwing trash and damaging people property they have yet to show me prove. All I get from them is excuses. My rent Never late yet still im having difficulty getting them to fix anything. Bad services, bad employees/managements. I asked for their corporate number they claim they don't have it.

I lived there back when. I was a college student in my senior year. All I can say is that this was the worst place I ever lived. It had a complete Roach infestation. It was roaches on the carpet. It was so bad I had to contact the BBB and health department to be able to get out of my lease. I wouldn't recommend anyone living here.

My experience at Mountain Crest has been the most unethical of all. Mrs. Donna had me waiting an apartment since May 29 2018. I call every chance I get to check on my unit unit A26. When she do pick up the fone. Its always I got you Mrs Reed or I will call you when it's ready or 3 weeks etc. Well I call the other day and spoke with a young lady in the office and she assured me that my application had expired on September 6 2018. My App fee paid and my Deposit paid. But now I'm off the wait list what kind of Bull is this. These Apts. Are Robbing folks without a gun and it needs to stop. Nobody ever told me of 120 days limit or nothing. This was wrong and lowdown on Mrs Donna behalf and she should be ashamed of herself for all them LIES SHE TOLD ME. TRASH TRASH TRASH. The Management team is one of the most rude and immature teams i've ever encountered. There was an inspection today. I asked for a few minutes to tidy up and they agreed. Two seconds later they start ringing the doorbell like madmen, soon after they just walked right in. I said that it was rude and they can't do that, I got the reply that "We have the key anyway so we can come in when we like" "We're on a schedule" So being on a schedule gives you the right to violate the privacy of my home? I think not. Furthermore the whole time they were throwing little wise cracks and rude jokes. They did nothing but take our fire extinguisher, which they did not replace, they left every door wide open as they left the house, they did not show any professionalism whatsoever and the blatant disrespect they showed was just unacceptable on top of that, they dropped things in my house that were neatly organized and did not make an attempt to pick it up at all. I would expect this behavior from children, instead I get it from a group of power tripping old bats. I am not pleased. A work order was put in to fix the bathroom tiles and we've been reminding them for 2 years to no avail. The security team comes late and leaves early. I haven't seen the security past 12 am, when before they used to stay until 3 am. The neighborhood is not safe, there are sexual predators all around the area, there are constant fights, gunshots every night, police always riding through. You never feel safe even in your house. There has been a string of break-ins, the walls are paper thin, maintenance takes forever just to do a ------ job. They hire handy men instead of actual professionals, they give a temporary fix and leave you to deal with it for the next couple of months, even years in some cases. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy move into these apartments, all they care about is getting you into an apartment, once you're in you're on your own until they feel like helping you. They do things at their own leisure but expect rent to be paid on time. Again, i WOULD NOT recommend these apartments to my worst enemy.

Walls are paper thin. U can literally hear your neighbors convos. The town homes stair rails are a bit too low. Be aware if you have small children. They are very nice and you will not notice the shabby-ness at first but after a while you will notice the decreased quality. Pleasant to the eye and bank account but not a long term situation. It's a great start to building a better future for yourself. Not too much activity or foot traffic.lol residents stay to themselves. It's not so bad but I can't wait til my least is up.

Do Not. I repeat DO NOT!!!! Move to these apartments. 1. They do not fix anything. When you move in , they'll fix it up REAL good, paint everything etc. But a week later the paint will wear off. 2. You will see a million WATER BUGS at night . they'll promise to spray, PST contnril etc. But they only fees the bugs sugar water. 3. They do not care about your safety. I had several break in attempts that were only unsuccessful because I had to get an alarm, buy different gadgets to prevent people from coming in etc I have a 3 year old son that was on the couch watching TV when a man kept trying to slide the patio door open. My son was Terrified but do you think the office cared? NO THEY JUST WANT TO GIVE OYU ENOUH COMFORT TO MOVE IN AND TAKE YOUR MONEY So now, my sin is scared to go home and cried himself to sleep. Oh yes, there is shooting every other week. And road blocks by police. **** the carpet in the townhomes are lovely though ??

I would never move to such a ------ place if It were the last place to move. The staff is horrible except for the cutie pie Xzavier. I came in to ask about the apartments about a month ago and the ------ rude girl Miss Shemire told me to wait in the lobby. I waited for 7 mins and I watching her run back in forth outside to talk to someone in the parking lot, and she never came back over to check on me. Xzavier came over to ask if I needed some help when he came in the office from lunch it seems and gave me the info for the property. I watched Shemire sit on her phone texting not answering the office phone as it constantly kept ringing and then had the nerve to roll her eyes at me when I said bye. Xzavier handed me a business card after going over some prices and told me if I needed any more info to please call and ask for him. After driving through the property and multiple guys stood in the breezeways I decided not to move there since they have no control over that.

So i was considering moving to these apartments until i read the reviews so i had to dig a little bit deeper i must say these reviews said it all i decided to ride through on a pretty day the kids are out of control cursing parents walking around in pajamas hair all over their heads guys outside drinking beer and smoking weed i felt like i was in compton my only thought was get me up outta here as i found the nearest exit two teen girls decided to.out of no where start twerking i am.still lost as to what they were shaking their butts to as i heard no music at all and to think i had my money order.in hand and ready what a waste of such nice apartments i do not recommennd these apartments to anyone who do not like hoodstyle living

I just put in an application for an apartment here. I have to say, my experience with Shamir was nothing like the negative reviews that i have read. She was very kind, courteous and professional. Even on the calls she took while i was filling out my application. She was very informative, i was able to look at a town home before i filled out my app. She was nice to my son who was there with me. She was very personable. I look forward to my experience living here in Mountain Crest! Kudos on your professional customer service Shamir!!

As a potential resident. I filled out all paperwork. But nothing was ever good enough. They always gave me a hard time. The apartment they wanted to put me in was a bottom floor when I specifically asked to be on top. The leasing agent Shamir is a hood rat. She only cares about money she is a horrible leasing agent. Sharon is the assistant manger she sucks too. After reading all the reviews I will stop the leasing process because after all the drama I still tried to make things work hell I paid my app fee aleady. So i will just find another apartment. Management is horrible. Dont even attempt to live here!!!! Everybody there is unprofessional including Xavier who supposedly is handling my file after I complained about Shamir ------ ---. Im done with these apartments.

When I first moved over here I thought this was a real nice area and after a years of being here they moved some nasty people next door to me and they have made our building full of bugs and I had to throw away my living room set because of this. The bugs are all over the apartment. The property manager doesn't;t do what's right by the residents and make sure they feel comfortable in their home and they let nasty people live in the apartments and let the bug problem get out of hand. I've had to by my own products to kill some of the bugs, but the more I killed the more that came form the people next door to me. It's real sad that the property manager let people like this live over here and because of this other people have to suffer. I daughter, nephew and cousins broke out because of the bugs in the unit. The assistant manager is very rude and don't give a damn about the bug problem because she doesn't have to live in these conditions.

I have lived in Mountain crest for several years.They change office staff like underwear the maintenance staff plays too much and does not do their job. The leasing staff would rather talk your business than lease an apartment. I heard them call a little girl at the pool last year a "little bit**" for having on a two piece bathing suit. The roaches take over your apartment and its not just mine its the whole complex. They have a no pet policy but everyone has a dog. People sit outside and do drugs all day and people act like they don't see or smell anything. The police are always flying through here with their lights on but do you think we get a letter about what happened. My neighbors apartment got broken into the word is that it was a person from maintenance. Don't need anything fixed if you live here or move here cause you will wait for ever. I moved in in 2009 and are still waiting for brand new blinds in my living room. When I first moved in they were working on my apartment and kept turning on and off the power and in two days blew out two of my tvs and refused to pay for them. I later on overheard them talking about my business to someone else and laughing about it. How tacky is that!! The leasing staff does not care who they move next to or on top of you. In two years I have had seven neighbors next to me and on top of me and all of them fight. You can hear entire convos and hits to peoples bodies through the wall. When my upstairs neighbors fight i move cause it sounds like they are going to come through my ceiling. Last week I looked out the window and they were breaking up the street behind my car. I had to run out and move my car out the way. No letter or anything saying they were going to do street repairs that day. The next morning I get a letter on my door saying that they will be doing these repairs the following week. The staff here is bootleg and lazy. Move here at your own risk. When my lease is up I'm running out this neighborhood!!! Half my apartment is already packed up and my lease is not up until the end of this year. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! If you do you will regret it instantly.

I don't even know where to begin. It was a complete nightmare living here. I don't even know what compelled me to even stay there that long. Guess was just that I didn't feel like moving & I was wanting to get a house next. There has been many break-ins, police chases, a officer was shoot & killed near the playground, you can check the Atlanta news websites for that story & many more crazy things going on in this apartment complex, stand-offs, helicopters flying over searching for suspects, child molesters, pedophiles, they don't send out warning letters most of the time, you would hear about incidents through people in the neighborhood & surrounding neighborhoods, there was many worse things going on in those neighborhoods also just like Mountain Crest, rapes, shootings, a church shooting at the church across the street during a funeral. The pests problem is horrible. Huge roaches, ants, spiders, all of the above, we've seen rats, etc. run through the parking lot. They illegally evict tenants, your neighbors will steal all of your things, the leasing office will not notify you that they are planning to put you out, they act like they car but they really don't, they take the laws into to their own hands & will break in to your place to sit it out just for thirsty, nosy thieves of neighbors to steal all of your property, they wont call or email you, they play like they have sent letters to your door but they don't, of course no one can live for free but they falsely claim you owe this & owe that but have no breakdown, ledger or explanation as to hat exactly it is or where it stems from, they just are all liars in that office & be trying to save their own self's, the management is always changing, they are not consistent, you see new faces like every 3-6 months, you know they doing dirty business, they are very shady & fake, they are up to no good, they make up false claims & charges against you, billing you for things the residents are unaware of, they don't care about there tenants, they talk to you any type of way no matter how nice or respectful you are to the staff, they act like they own the property, the maintenance doesn't do there job, you'll be waiting til Christmas for something to get fixed, they are all just inefficient, no one is really working, they just getting paychecks for nothing. My worst rental experience ever. You have been warned. Steer clear of Mountain Crest, don't do it. You'll thank me later. You will definitely be dodging the bullet literally. I mean there has been shootings outside of my window several times we had to hide under the bed & in the closets, I have walked outside & almost gotten hit by a speeding police car chasing someone by car. My ac unit has gotten stolen outside, thank goodness I was on the 2nd floor because they could've easily came through the window & stolen whatever else they could get. I mean there was no heat for at least a month until they replaced it, the complex is total electric so therefore there was no hot water or heat til they finally replaced the unit outside, also the neighbor below has gotten his stolen, mind you this isn't the first set that has been stolen, it happens often, that just lets you know that there are crackheads lurking around. There is also drugs in the neighborhood, so the crackheads are rampant, up & down all day. Also drug bust has taken place, all the drug dealers in the area stay there or be there & set up trap in they girlfriends or homeboy apartments. Definitely not a safe place for children. I mean people be speeding through the neighborhood, play loud music, out all times of the night & they got fake flashlight cops, they think they Craig & Day Day, Top Flight Security of the World but they don't do ----, most of time they harassing females & they guests, the gate don't work but they be out there collecting people information like just fix the gate already but they too cheap to even do that. Once again you have been warned. Please don't do it. You, your property, your car, your family will not be safe, your guest will feel uneasy & uncomfortable, not a happy place. People over there will steal you ---- & pretend to help you look for it, just like a crackhead. I could go in on these apartments for days. Its so much more to it. Don't let the pictures or fake reviews from staff or friends of staff fool you trying to make the property look & sound good, I swear they all lies, on God. I have no reason to lie or make up any of these incidents, first hand experience. The worst, they are not people persons, the staff or your neighbors, ain't no neighborhood watch, they don't care about the 10 Commandments. They the type of neighbors to watch yo ---- alright, wait for you to travel & go out of town & break into your place , steal your tvs, laptops, etc. & call the police the next day like someone broke into your place then be skinning & grinning in your face when you return. Everybody for themselves. Don't trust nobody there. Safe yourself the trouble, headache & heartache. Stone Mountain has become ------. No longer a suburb. The schools are bad, elementary through high school. They have been so many incidents with the schools. You don't want your children to attend any of them, Stone Mill Elem students attacked & robbed the principal (look it up). Dekalb County losing their accreditation anyway, it's on the news, Dekalb County always on the news, never a dull moment & they are closing schools left to right. Its a corrupt place. The police are thee worst, they forever harassing residents. N. Hairston & Central Dr. is a hot block. Don't cut through & take no shortcuts or side roads through here you'll get pulled over for the dumbest ---- ever, they forever trying to write traffic tickets instead of fight & combat real crime. Dekalb County going down anyway. Ain't no position that's permanent, one day you the boss then you fall off & become the employee or worse jobless, them people in the office & everybody in Dekalb County period, think they God or something. Dekalb County aint nothing to brag about, should've left after high school. I came back, smh. Big mistake, it ain't the same.

Don't move here!

When we first moved it it seemed like a nice neighborhood with security. After a few weeks I saw the truth. The security play around in the parking lot and harass tenants at the entrance but say nothing to the flocks of people sitting on cars and in stairways. There is a 10 o'clock curfew that is only enforced to people who are not causing a scene, the loud and rowdy people are not told to go in but supposely "written up." Everyone smokes and drinks outside even around children. My neighbors are so loud it sounds like they might come crashing down through my ceiling. The maintenance is absolutely horrible. If you call in a work request it will never be done. If you go inside the office you have to wait until they put it in the system before you leave otherwise it will never happen. I have had water issues in my bathroom since I moved in. They have cut my ceiling out above my tub twice for mold/water issues. The office staff changes every month so you have no consistency when dealing with the staff. My lease is up next week and there is no way I would ever re-sign a lease with them. The surrounding neighborhoods are even worse. There have been at least 2 murders, an attempted kidnapping, 3 armed robberies (that I am aware of) and one of the abandoned complexes keeps getting set on fire. All of that is just in the year I have lived there and a man was shot and killed in the breezeway in this complex a few months ago. You have the choice. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

NOT SAFE ....MURDER HAPPENED AT MY DOORSTEP

MOVED AND AND HAD SEVERAL MAINTENCE ISSUES THAT DIDNT GET FIXED IN A TIMELY MATTER. ROACHES AR HORRRIBLE. I HAVE TO BOMB MY OWN UNIT BECAUSE THE STUFF THEY PUT DOESNT WORK. SAFF. DOESNT ANSWER PHONE. I THINK THEY MAY HAVE CID AND SCREEN CALLS. BUT WHAT TOPPED THE CAKE IS THAT A MURDER OCCURED RIGHT AT MYY DOORSTEP. AND THE LITTLE SECURITY THAT THEY DO HAVE WAS PROBABLY AT THE GATE HASSLING RESIDENTS. INSTEAD OF GETTING RID OF THE CROWDSD OF PPL SITTING IN THE BREEZE WAYS AND PARKING LOTS. AND IF YOU COMPLAIN TO RENT OFFICE THEY JUST TELL YOU TO CALL THE POLICE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST MURDER I BEEN TOLD. ALL IN ALL ITS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.

Unstable Place to live

I lived at this apartment complex for a year!! The worse place ever... The staff is very rude and ------! Roach infested they lie about sending people out to spray for roaches smh!! I had a leak in my kids bedroom it tool the 5 different incidents to fix each time they say its fix but everytime it rain same leak! Mildew in the room.. fake security... And they cheat you your waterbill please nobody move here you will regret it...

I live at Mountain Crest apartments however i am moving out asap. My apartment was invaded in broad day light with no force entry. with all the staff and security in the complex during these hours, neither of them saw anything. yeah right! There is only three keys that I am aware of to the apartment my 2 are accounted for. My question is who, and how was some able to enter an dead bolt lock in broad day light and remove thousands of dollars worth of electronics and clothing?

I HAVE BEEN STAYING IN THESE APT FOR ALMOST A YR. WHEN YOU FIRST MOVE IN IT SEEM LIKE THE OFFICE STAFF ARE IN PLACE BUT ONCE YOU GET ON A GOOD TWO WKS NO ONE IS THERE, THEY DONT RETURN PHONE CALLS. VERY UNORGANIZE. THE TRASH ALWAYS SEEM TO BE PILED TO THE STOP AND ALL IN FRONT OF THE DUMPSTER. THEY NEED MORE THEN THE FEW THEY HAVE IN THE APT COMPLEX. SECURIRY ARE THE WORSE THEY HARRASS YOU FOR BEING OUTSIDE ON THE SIDE WALK OR IN THE PARKING LOT THEY WANT YOU ON YOU PORCH. WE ALL GOT A NOTICE PUT ON OUR DOORS STATING THAT GRILLS CANT BE ON THE PATIO!!! UMM WHERE DO THEY BELONG? NOT IN THE HOUSE. THEY HAD PLAN TO REMOVE ALL GRILLS FROM ALL PATIO. I THINK IT FELL THRU BECAUSE A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT THE POLICY. IT SO MUCH OTHER THINGS I CAN SAY BUT IF YOU MOVE IN YOU WILL SEE FOR YOURSELF. JUST KNOW DONT JUDGE A APT BY THE OUTSIDE. IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE AND YOU WANT TO FEEL SAFE DONT STOP HERE. DEKALB STAY IN THE APT ABOUT ALL KINDS OF MESS BUT IT TAKES THEM 3 HRS TO GET THERE AND THE APT AROUND THESE APT ARE BAD AS WELL!! This really is NOT a bad place to stay!

Well, my husband and I moved here 2 years ago. We did have some minor issues when we first moved in, but those were issues out of their control (management). The main thing was the loud neighbors under us and the roaches (from the people under us), once they moved out, it was smooth sailing from there on. I will say, you have to get at management more that it is desired, but they do get the job done. It is understandable because tenants have to realize that management can't do it all. They get bogged down with their job like we all do. They may forget to put in a work order, or give you a return call, but you HAVE TO FOLLOW UP with them to get what you need to get done sometimes. Management has GREATLY improved along with maintenance in the couple of years we have been here.The place is fairly quiet, especially in the back of the complex where we stay. There have been some break-ins and thefts, but that happens everywhere, plus it's not often. If you worry about that, I advise you to keep to yourself, mind your business, and request that you get an apartment upstairs or a townhouse towards the front if it's possible. OVERALL, if we needed to, we would move back to Mountain Crest- and that says a lot. The only reason we are moving is because we need more space and a change of scenery, other than that, we like it here.

HONEST TRUTH!

I lived in this stupid apartment and it was the worse decision i ever made in my life. Unlike me if you are fortunate to be reading this, please run faster away from this apartment. Security sleeping on duty. it's a center of crime.I swear to God with my life my car was broken into and over $800 stuffs was stolen plus damages to my car.PLS RUN FASTER!!! A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR A WISE!!!

Please Do Not Move Into These So Called Apartments

First off I've lived at Mountain Crest for about six months during these six months they have messed with the water, and electrical. They have even came out they --- saying there's a water bill when I have not been informed of that moving in. Now I have an outstanding water bill. The acknowledgement process was a note on the door the night before to come pay or 200 dollar fees would be added. I walked into the office and they say i have always gotten notices.Never not even one. It took them 3 months before saying anything to me with me coming in and paying rent face to face but nothing said about the rent i was paying with no so called water bill. Oh and dont bother them at anytime not that you can get threw anyway. Phone lines always go straight to voicemail. Only way you get in contact is to walk in constantly. Plenty of roaches when you move in you'll need to call da exterminator for atleast the first 3 mopnths but you'll still see some running around.Be as clean as you want it doesnt help. Once this lease is up there will be no renewal. Thats a gurantee.
