Most Closet Space in a One Bedroom Apartment!
If you are looking for a spacious one bedroom apartment with plenty of closet space, look no further than Ashmore Trace Apartments. The apartment has five closets, not including the closet in the kitchen that has hook ups for a washer and dryer. There is a roomy coat closet, a closet with several shelves for linens, towels, etc. In the hallway, there is also a huge closet for storing Christmas decorations, etc. The bedroom that can fit two full size beds with ease has two walk-in closets that are luxurious for a one bedroom apartment. Office and maintenance staff are professional, courteous, and put residents first. During the winter, Ashmore Trace Apartments takes great care of residents by plowing and salting sidewalks, etc. to keep everyone safe.

I absolutely love living at Ashmore Trace! Maintenance keeps the grounds so clean. The office is the best! Kathy is always welcoming when going into the office! She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the community and apartment living! They have activities for residents and they show that they care about their residents and community!

I've been here for a year. Pros: the maintenance team responds very quickly. There's lots of closet space. All utilities are included. Which was really the selling point for me. Quiet and safe apartment complex. Cons: I've had to contact maintenance far too many times. On the very first night I moved in, which was a cold snowing winter day, my hot water was out. The maintenance technician responded quickly and relit the pilot. The water heater went out again a few months later and the maintenance team replaced the entire unit. Fast forward to the summer right as it started heating up, my AC went out. They were unable to repair as the temps kept rising and it reached over 90° in my apartment which was even hotter than the outside temp at that point. The maintenance team gave me a portable ac unit which I put in my bedroom with the door closed. It barely kept my room cool but I was still thankful and I made so in this situation for about a week before they finally replaced the entire AC unit. Overall, I feel the apartments are extremely dated and in dire need of renovations but the property owners are much too stingy to do that. My bathroom sink fixtures are so old that there's holes rusted through. The carpet is old and was kinda crunchy from a poor shampoo job. The walls look like there's 300 coats of paint. The kitchen appliance are also very old. I pay $900 for a one bedroom apartment. I could live downtown for this amount and I feel that I should at least have some updates and renovations. If I had the money, I'd def move out but unfortunately I do not have a couple thousand to do so.

The community is great. It is located near everything but off the road so not too close to it all. We have not had any problems with any neighbors or anyone at that. We have always felt safe. Amy in the office is great. She's always been the one to take care of us. Kathy is just as good. Over all I would say these apartments are a great place to live. We love it!

Don't live here, they will charge you for undamaged, nearly pristine carpet after you leave just because they want new carpet in the room and steal your deductible and try to charge more than the deductible despite their tenant always paying their outrageous rent on time. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! I'll probably have to sue them frankly if they don't give me my deposit.

For living in Greenwood, there's no better place than Ashmore Trace! The staff are friendly and caring, the maintenance personnel reliable and responsive, and everything feels just right. A big shout out to Kathy (rental) and Glenn (maintenance)! The apartments themselves are a little older (renovated/remodeled), but with utilities included, they are a great deal. 24/7 access to the washer/dryer facility and gym is a plus. There is a strong sense of community at the events. There is even a quaint park, whose entrance is within the complex. My only complaint is that the management company, Glick, controls rent at the corporate level. Increases are inevitable, though the local managers would prefer to have a say in that, and if they did, then an exemplary tenant like me would likely be staying long-term instead of searching elsewhere. Rent is still affordable for newcomers, it's those who stay that don't get the greatest offers at renewal. No place is perfect, I suppose.

I have lived here since Dec.2016. I enjoy the environment, its a quiet area with plenty of walking paths. There are a few flaws such as thin walls but that's in almost every apartment complex. I would recommend this complex to my friends and or family if they were looking for an affordable and nice place to live.

I moved into ashmore in 7/16 at first sight it looked great but day to day I started to notice things that were not right first of all my carpet doesn't meet the threshold in the kitchen, there is a huge green stain in my bathroom , it takes two people to open the sliding glass door in back of apartment, all the faucets are badly tarnished, many of the light switches are on when they say off and vice versa , my stove is missing a leg so it badly rocks back and forth, there is tile peeling up in the bathroom and kitchen, the plate that goes under the dish washer is not attached. Well, I can go on and on but I went to them and explained these problems and was told that they would get right on it. a month later I heard nothing from them, so I went back to talk the the manager, Kathy, she told me that she would have the maintenance team get right on it. The next month still nothing was done,so I went back. they still say they will be fixing some of the problems soon and here it is 11/16 and I still have not seen or heard from them

I lived at Ashmore Trace for 3 years and only moved after buying a house. The apartments and community are safe, clean, and welcoming. The staff was always friendly and quick to respond to any question. I loved walking my dog on the Trace Trail, this is a 3 mile out and back trail right outside the apartment community. I was also walking distance to Craig Park and Freedom Park. Greenwood is a beautiful location, great schools, and beautiful parks. I highly recommend Ashmore Trace in Greenwood for anyone looking for a spacious, well maintained, safe, and a perfect location in an apartment community.

I didn't even get through the application process. I put in my check for my application. Then the date of availiability suddenly changed, so I asked to stop my check, and I was told it had already gone through. This was a lie, as I put a stop on it 4 days later to ensure the check wasn't doctored before cashing, as I had no idea what was going on with the check at this point. I am now receiving a letter from a creditor because of their dishonest practices. It's through LB Gray llc which has refused to let me know what they received in order to attempt a collection. The apartments look nice enough, but I only entertained the cost (that "free" electric accounts for a $200 monthly average bill when doing the math with nearby apartments) because the Clearview Apartments next door (great apartments) didn't have 2 bedroom occupancy at the time. Just on principle, I'm glad I got away from roping myself into an actual contract with them.

Ashmore Trace is a wonderful place to live and raise your children there. The office staff is professional and always very friendly. Maintenance was always on time and fixed items properly the first time. The grounds were beautiful and always kept very nice. I loved living there and recommend for anyone living in this area.

Pretty good so far
We moved into a two bedroom here a few months ago, and I am pleased to say it is one of the nicest apartments I've ever personally lived in. Maintenance is quick, the people in the office are always friendly, and the apartment is spacious and well tended to. It is an older complex as others have said, but the building I live in at least seems built well. Easy to open windows. I like having a gas stove and a generously sized yard for an apartment. The grounds are also very pretty and I enjoy walking my dogs here. The pool is really nice, its always busy. The complex has a good location as well, theres a paved trail and several stores/food joints in close proximity. Parking is decent and well-lit, I'm not sure how it is for the townhomes but for the one floor apartments there is adequate parking most nights, you might have to park on the other side if its a busy friday night and people have friends over or something. The laundry machines never eat my quarters and the gym has a great selection of workout equipment, actually. The only negative so far is that occasionally, I can hear my upstairs neighbors walking around, but I think they might just be loud walkers. All in all, I would definitely recommend this complex to others

Very Disappointed
I have lived at Ashmore in the past and loved it.....However, NOW is nothing but disappointment. I will start with the maintenance staff, I find the staff hiding and smoking in there vechicals and driving around only looking busy, in and out of their apartments and NEVER have I seen an office personal walking the property only showing units. I have never lived for an apartment complex that has nothing mastered except for masking problems. I have had 3 water leaks in 2 years, I called in a gas smell only to be told it was nothing when in fact I had 5!!!!! My faucets continue to leak and I continue to be told "Thank Corporate for the cut backs"! My garage door has been broke for about a year now and was told they can only order 2 a year but yet if I dont pay the monthly fee I dont get to keep it???? The Office staff, yes they are great in person however, when you call in a ticket the blame is always put on the other as to why nothing has been wrote up. The play ground equipment is in unsafe conditions for the childen, the basketball nets are rotted and falling apart. There is no place for parking because of the carports but yet you dont get a discount on the units that have no choice but to purchase one due to NO parking spaces. When I moved in the underneath my stove and refrigerator was full of food, knives and dishes. The windows and door jams are full of buildup! The rent for these apartments are ridicules for what you get in return which is NOTHING!!!! I would not recommend this place to NO ONE!

i live here now and can't wait to leave!
Where to begin! lets start from the ground up. Well for one these are about 30 years old. Ashmore will tell u they remodeled these but what did that consist of. new 20$ doors. and some new vents. They have water main breaks about once a week so no water while there fixing then no drinking for 24hours.... most are ones they have allready fixed. One of the mait. roberta haha! guy will spend half of his day in his free apartment taking care of his snakes and the other half hiding in vacent apartments. Cant have pitbulls or any other big dogs that are so called BAD DOGS. but he can have a room full of snakes that if they get out could kill a kid or even a person and im sure smell horrible. the heating and cooling systems are older than dirt and will make u dust just about everyday. these are way over priced for what they are and I can't wait to move out. The property manager is a joke to can't even walk her property due to being too fat really! This is deff not my first or last apartment and ive had better satafaction at the local gas station. Everything in my apartment seems to be JERRY rigged. ive left many messages to the owners/managers with no response. guess they just don't care... thats about how i feel. Just look at the truck they drive around. brake light out, dirty an wreaked. just like ashmore. AND... i will add to your reply regional manager....what do you do. slide in and out once a month never seen anyone but glenn walking the grounds. there is only two reasons this place look like it does cause the guys who cutt the grass and indiana maitance. They do more than ur hole staff. pretty sure your boss needs to check ur work proformance and this website and others. I guess sinse. Not one bush has been trimmed, weeeds everywear, signes missing letters gutters clogged, water leaks still, ugly warped faded shutters, junk windows that never work right, cheap paint thats like chalk. ants everywear, junk dishwashers leaves nasty film on dishes, i have a life and don't have time calling you when u clearlly read this! HOw about this try and do your job! I know thats mindblowing but might even try and fix the problem that people have noted^^^^^^ on here! just like rob once told me im goin to do the bare min. guess that should be glicks/ashmores modo! I won't stay another day i can pay my electricy bill i don't need it included in my rent RIPOFF!

great place to call home
I have lived at Ashmore Trace for almost 1 year, and I will be renewing to live here for another year. The maintenance staff is great; they always come right away and office staff are always professional and very pleasant to speak with. The property is a little older, but looks really great and the rent is affordable and include utilities!! I am surprised to read some of the other reviews, no place is perfect but this place is much better then some of the reviews state. I hope you give it a chance. I'm sure glad that I did.

NEVER MOVE HERE!!!!
this place may seem like a deal with your utilities included but it is a horrible place to live. dont ever live in a downstairs unit. the rent is cheaper upstairs so the people downstairs have to suffer from the noise. the walls in this place are paper thin. i could here my upstairs neighbors walk around their apartment. if they have kids your in trouble. you constantly here them running around and it sounds like they are going to fall through the floor. the apartment staff is horrible. they are nice when you are looking for a place to live but once you sign that lease they could care less. they allow trash to live in this place and do nothing about it. and when you move out they charge you for stupid things and do not even itemize the bill out. you will not get your deposit back they come up with stupid charges. parking sucks. lots of bugs.....the community grounds look great but that is the only thing nice i can say about this place.

Nice........to be not living here anymore!!!!
The buildings are old and not in the best condition. Maintenance is iffy about doing repairs the way they should be. Sometimes they're pretty half---- in my opinion. There seems to be a lot of riff-raff in there and management is reluctant to get involved in issues that might come up. They often tell you one thing and do another, IF they do anything at all! You don't want to be there in the winter! The buildings obviously have little or no insulation and pipes freeze. Can you say, "water fall"??!! Greenwood is a nice place but nice apartments are getting harder to find. It seems like they're all going down hill.

So So for the price... I guess!
My family moved into Ashmore Trace about a year ago and are ready to move out already... darn the 1yr lease agreement. The ladies in the office are nice but alot of the people living in the complex are complete TRASH! They are loud, obnoxious and very rude... We've had "run-ins" with some of the Trashy Teens in the area...We have a very young child and everytime we go to the playground to play, there are always older children sitting on the playground equipment and will not move when our son wants to play. Even when they are asked to move they smart off, curse and won't budge! We've complained but it does no good. The pool area is ALWAYS noisy and filled with angry parents and roudy kids... The apartment size is great for our needs, and we like the layout however, we've had bug problems (ants, spiders, gnats) regardless how well we clean, our apt smells like cigarettes (tenants upstairs smoke) even though we don't smoke, nor leave our windows or doors open and parking is hard to come by at certain hours.... It was nice when we moved in but since living there for a while, we're ready to move... Lease will be up soon and we'll be out!

Would never live here.
My wife and I have not lived here and never would. When we were looking for apartments we came upon Ashmore Trace and stopped in 4 times before the office had a person in it. And yes, we did go during their open office hours. I could only imagine the hell the residents have to go through to reach anyone. We were planning on moving in 3 months later so the lady there told us to go ahead and fill out the applications and pay a partial application fee just to hold them until it got closer and we could pay the rest and it would go through. We decided later on a different complex and asked for our money back since it was just supposed to be held. We went through hell trying to get back that money. The ladies in the office were extremely rude and wouldn't cooperate or give me a number of any superior. I had to call coporate and go through that channel and after several weeks of back and forth was told I'd be sent a check for the money. After that experience I wouldn't trust these people with anything, let alone signing a lease with them.

Some good, some bad.
Ashmore Trace has several great aspects. The location is decent. Close to the grocery, Walgreens, and K-mart. Traffic in Greenwood is a pain, but that really can not be avoided anywhere. The grounds are well maintained and I am always impressed with the thorough job done in snow removal in the parking lot and sidewalks. The new treadmill and exercise bike are great! The pool is nice. My only complaint is that sometimes the music played is a little offensive. I put headphones if I am laying out by myself, but I do not want my children hearing that garbage. I like having a gas waterheater and stove, washer/dryer connections, and the townhouse has plenty of space. I have had no problems with any of the staff. With all of that being said, there have been a few problems. We have had ants. The staff has sprayed, we do dishes immediately after eating, wipe counters down daily, and mop floor regularly... cannot get rid of them. The winters are cold in the kitchen and entry. The air does not circulate properly, the downstairs is 10 degrees cooler than upstairs. You can be comfortable downstairs and burning up upstairs or vice versa. The dogs next door bark excessively, which does not bother me, but it drives my husband nuts. Lastly, parking can be a bit frustrating when it is raining, cold out, or have groceries to carry in. We enjoyed the first few months at Ashmore, but were ready for a change when our lease was up. For the price, it is a not a bad place to live. If you are willing to pay a little more, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Another One Bites The Dust!!!
I also agree with many of the comments here. I could write a book! This place started out great but has steadily declined over the years. It may look good on the outside but looks can be deceiving. I think that a lot of it has to do with management changing like it did. This seems to happen frequently anymore at many apartment complexes. Management changes and things go down hill. It's sad.
