Keeps getting better
I just renewed my lease again and can hardly believe I've lived here 3 years already. I moved to Riverview with the intent to buy a home once I graduated law school. My apartment is a 2 bedroom den on the River, and although rent is high (I pay $2100/ month), I can't imagine leaving. Maintenance is great and the building always is clean. It is also very quiet. The office staff is responsive and friendly and always make time for me if I stop by the office.

My experience has been wonderful...
When my condo sale fell through and I was referred by a friend to Riverview at Upper Landing I wasn't sure what to expect. Now that I have lived here for over a year I hve no plans to leave any time soon. The staff is always helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile for me. The building and apartments are modern and hip with an array of resident services like free airport shuttle, dry cleaning pick up and drop off and an incredibly professional Concierge (sp?) service. The location is incredible with views you can't find anywhere else. I'm treated like a queen here and wouldn't trade it for the world. Satisfied Resident!

Must have everything double checked
The apartments are like new and great. Big con that gets worse the more I live here is the office staff. If you have any issues be sure to get everything in writing and double check on everything. Constantly when anything comes up the office staff will resolve it, then the issue comes up again and another office staff has no idea what to do. So basically it never gets resolved until about the 5th try on good days.Very frustrating. Must get multiple answers on everything and do all the follow up work yourself. Other than maintenance issues (which are handled well and fast) everything else is either half completed- forms, etc or not done correctly for which you must make multiple trips to the office to settle.

Love it here!
Relocating from out of town was hard but Riverview made it really easy. I have been here almost a year now and I love it! You are within walking distance to downtown and the views of the River are amazing. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff also fix things really fast. I love how you are downtown but since you are by the River you feel like have the privacy of your own home. There are biking trails and walking trails all along the River and since Harriet Island is across the way there is a ton to do in the summer. I will be living here for a long time and would highly reccomend this to everyone. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!

Couldn't be Happier!
I have been a resident here for more than a year now. Let me just say that I absolutely love my apartment. The kitchens are modern with center islands, maple cabinets and designer lighting throughout. My friends always comment on how awesome the riverfront location is and how jeolous they are of where I live when we meet before a game or night out. I have always felt safe and appreciate the access controlled heated underground parking. The staff is always friendly and eager to help me with my dry cleaning, packages or even just some advice on a local restaurant. They routinely go above and beyond to serve me. One staff member stayed late just so I could pick up an important package that I needed for work! Riverview has hosted several fully catered resident appreciation events in the Cyber Cafe which offered an opportunity to socialise and meet my neighbors as well. I love it here and you will too!

Not as great as it seems
This place was a great place at first glance. It looks gorgeous the maintenance is impeccable, but it has a tons of cons that you don't realize until you live here. As a single white female I am VERY concerned with safety. Since I have lived here there has been a few break- ins and I wouldn't have known unless another resident told me. I am a professional so I work a lot and expect to come home to a quiet, safe place. This place is quiet but safety is an issue. Someone literally broke in the building and stole many computers and equipment. I know that this is possible anywhere, but for it to happen numerous times and the management doesn't notify clients!!?? THATS where safety is an issue. It's fine that things happen from time to time, but this becomes an unsafe environment when residents are not aware of circumstances.I mean, they should at LEAST say something. Tell me the side of the building it happens on so I know at least where robbers come in so I can be more careful. Staff has changed a bit much since I've been here and some of the staff are not working, but literally chatting all day in the office. This biggest gripes about this place would be management, really. This payment policy is crazy, information is never told, records are not kept well and my account has been reported to me wrong on a few occasions. Also nothing is close, since downtown closes early you have to drive far to get anything. I've heard other residents say there prices have increased even though they will rent out to new people at a lower price! The business center looks junky all the time, things broken, stolen, or not being kept up. No pens, pencils, printer always out of paper and computers freezing. Also, on every floor you can hear conversations very CLEAR from people outside on the street if you are by a window. That is bad, also there is section 8 houses on the corner where fire alarms are constantly going off in the middle of the night and police come by. Someone also pulled a fire alarm here not so long ago. Overall the building is great, but the surroundings, management decisions, and non maintenance staff are the cons. But if you really want a brand new or like new apt where maintenance is not a concern, and non of those issues bother you, this is the place!

Great downtown living
I've lived here for a year and a half and I love being so close to downtown with out having to live in the downtown environment. The building is safe and quite and has beautiful walking and biking trails. The fitness room is wonderful with personal TVs on each machine, it's great motivation to work out. The staff is also very friendly and will drop anything to help you out. They are always letting residents know about upcoming events and in the winter months, when the plows will be out so you can hopefully avoid being towed. The cons are that no utilities are paid and if you want an extra parking spot in the garage it costs $100 per month.

You weigh the options..
LIKES: *Underground parking *Really nice NEW apartments - maintenance is quick to fix issues immediately *Most staff is friendly *Quite as far as it not being a party house. I've not seen any children living in my building. Most, like me, only come home to sleep though. *Washer/Dryer in unit *Excel Center is walking distance but NOT during the winter months. DISLIKES: *The building on the corner is SECTION 8 housing & have witnessed a drug deal taking place outside. *Live on 4th floor- windows are so thin you can clearly hear entire conversations taking place OUTSIDE on ground level *Public Transportation is NOT within walking distance. A car is mandatory to live here. *There is no grocery store close by. Again you have to drive everywhere. *Community room can be resevered for $100 fee!! Ridiculous, this should be included with the high rents charged. *No utilities are included in rent. *Pay rent past 4pm on the 3rd and you get charged $50 late fee; don't pay your $50 late fee by 4pm on the 7th and get charged an ADDITIONAL $75 - that's a $125 late fee for being less then 1 week late AND you'll have eviction papers under your door!! NOT FLEXIBLE. *Winter is too long to enjoy the gorgeous walking trails. Its heartbreaking to pay so much rent to only enjoy the backyard 4-5 months each year.
