Terrible Management, Shoddy Construction Ruin Experience
These apartments are in a nice, safe area. The community is nice and neighborly. The apartment buildings themselves look nice-- on the surface-- from the outside.

However, after living at this complex for a couple of years I came to understand quite intimately just how shoddy the construction of the buildings is. They were built cheaply 25 years ago, using the cheapest materials and cheapest appliances, and they have not been maintained properly in the years since.

When you come to look at the apartments, they'll probably show you a renovated unit with new appliances, a fresh, neat paint job, and ceiling fans in every room. What you're likely to get when you actually move in is cheap paint slapped sloppily over wallpaper, 25-year-old rusty, unreliable appliances, musty 5-year-old carpet, and ugly old cheap, rusty light fixtures. At least, that's what I got.

And I tried to make the best of it. But it is very hard to live happily in a complex where the office staff treats tenants who actually want their ancient appliances fixed or replaced when they break down like unruly serfs.

The maintenance staff is kind, skilled, and punctual, but I was often told by the maintenance people that the office refused to authorize certain repairs. For the first several months I lived in this complex, at least once every couple of weeks, water flooded into my bathroom from the bathroom upstairs. The office staff tried to blame the little boy living upstairs, insisting his splashing in the bath was somehow causing gallons of water to flood through my ceiling in a gush. It was actually a plumbing problem, but because the office staff refused to take my complaints seriously, the problem was not fixed for months. For the entire first year I lived there, only three of the four burners worked on my electric stove. I only got them to repair the burner by threatening not to renew my lease. (The assistant office manager actually promised to replace the entire stove as part of the lease renewal agreement, but then they just came in and replaced the broken burner).

This complex also has a problem with a chronic carpenter bee infestation and serious problems with ants.

It looks nice for the price. Don't be fooled. Don't live here.

Read This!!!
The apartments are nice, the neighbors are friendly, the maitnence staff is quick on their feet. The office staff is a nightmare!!! Denise is the sweetest woman on the planet. But that Blond Witch is a whole other story. Apparently she had nothing better to do the whole time I lived there than to spy on me and very publicly stipulate what it was I was really up to. I am a college student. I am on the dean's list and i help many of my class mates with various classes. Every day I'd hear a new story about what I was really doing, and the shady people I was associating with. This got old really fast. I put up with this Desperate Ex-Housewife for two years until I couldn't take it anymore and moved somewhere a little less Day's of Our Lives. She'd spy on me, call the police, and just run her mouth in general, about a whole lot of nothing.

I believe this is a nice place to live
To date I have leased 11 units for my employees. Each employee tells me that they love living at Greenway Chase, they feel safe there. I deal with the leasing office quite often and the experience is always wonderful. I love working with Denise, Kent & Cynthia. They always have patience with me....which I need a lot of! I will always lease apartments at Greenway Chase when I have employees relocating to MO.

Wonderful Place to live
We've lived here for a year and a half and in that time, the Staff, both Management and Maintenance has been wonderful. The apartments are quiet, tenants are friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. I would highly recommend this apartment complex!

Pros and Cons
Front office staff are not the nicest. When I moved in, the apartment had not been painted, even though the office claimed it had. There was marks all over the walls. Parking can be a pain.

Appliences are old, but maintence is quick to respond to repairs.

Quiet Neighborhood
I have lived here for a little over six months now, and I like it. I have lived in two other apartments before this one. The times that I have called maintenence, I got a response within 24 hours with no hassle. Compared to other places closer to the city, it may be considered a little on the high end but you pay for what you get. The Grocery stores, Target, banks, and restaurants are only a few minutes away. It is a diverse community, and you barely hear the kids in the neighborhood. Noise is not an issue considering it is an apartment. My only problem is with some of the applicances in my apartment. Although they are well-kept and are in working condition, you can tell they are a little older. All in all it is a good place to stay. And I would recommend Greenway Chase.
