The first 5 to 6 years this was the best place to live. The last couple of years it has went downhill. When I first moved in we had really nice grills and now we have cheap ones that don't work have the time. When I first moved in you could not here any noise from the gym, they replaced the gym floor, and they used yoga matting and now you can hear everything going on in the gym on the 4th floor. The trees are overgrown blocking the sun from half of the pool and the tree limbs are blocking some of the parkin spaces.

My experience has been pleasant. I sold my house of 20 years to move here & wanted a cozy homey feeling & this is it. I do feel the appliances are lacking a little in quality & ease of use. Refrigerator does not have enough freezer space. There is not much that fits in the small space. Washer & Dryer are a little too basic, but it is provided so can't really complain about that. I have only had one on one experience with Jade Shelton & our head maintenance person. Sorry, I do not remember his name. Interactions with both of them have been excellent. Overall, I am happy here.

Excellent Site support, quite and friendly neighborhood. The on site amenities such as the gym, the pool, dog parks and car wash are also amazing pluses to have at the ready when you are need of them.

Up to this year, my experience was good. Now though, the hallways are filthy dirty and stained with schmutz that is never cleaned off the concrete. Repairs are handled quickly at least. My neighbors are really weird, they stole my garbage out of my garbage can two weeks ago and I've watched them scurry into their apt #207 with armfuls of broken down cardboard boxes. It is off putting and concerning to me as a single senior tenant. I am worried about this complex now and I never was before.

Living in the Aventine Community has been great. Everything is nice and classy. Only thing is the pool has been unavailable in his hot part of the year but it seems they are diligently working to get it back open!

A super great support staff and very nice facilities. However, it is becoming more frequent than not that something is broken or down for extended periods of time. Seems like a little preventative maintenance would help, well prevent this. On a positive note, I feel very safe here and enjoy the people around me.

Not as good as it SHOULD be
This is a beautiful property. With the right management, it could be amazing. Sadly, our current property manager has spent the last year increasing rent and fees, while decreasing or eliminating property services and amenities. I understand market value. I know rent tends to increase, year to year. When renewing my lease last February, my 1BR apartment's rent increased about $100 per month (to $1,900/month). But in addition to that, they tack on multiple monthly fees. Fees they've arbitrarily increased or doubled, and added an additional fee whether we want/need it or not. As our property manager repeatedly tells us, they are all mandatory. This is an isolated community; meaning we cannot simply walk to anything. So that makes this property's amenities a HUGE factor when choosing a place to live. I've been here 18 months and I've watched our current management reduce these amenities, or simply remove them. Their right to do this is outlined on page 2, section 18 of our lease, as our property manager has pointed out to us, multiple times. The most obvious example is our pool. The management and maintenance individuals are very friendly & helpful. The grounds are very well maintained. Rent is comparable to the market rates, but are still high. The complex is relatively safe.

It was great, but the new management is awful. They waited until Memorial Day weekend to get the pool inspection done, which it failed and closed just in time for summer. Manager and leasing director are not helpful with any issues and are not on top of regular maintenance around the property. All amenities were properly maintained under previous management and he was extremely nice and helpful.

I really enjoy my apartment!!! The location and amenities are great!! The property is well managed and maintained! I enjoy the beautiful landscaping. The entire staff are kind and friendly! A warm and welcoming place to live!!

I enjoy living here. The only down falls are groundskeeping has fallen off and always trash around: and dog cans seem to be always full. I see maintenance sitting around and smoking or flying over speed bumps. The lawn care has not been as good as before. Grass is too long and it's hard to see or pick up dog poo or have little dogs walk through it. The apartments are beautiful and well kept and management/associates are always pleasant and kind.

The amenities are very nice and the office and maintenance staff are awesome! My only complaint would be with noisy and messy neighbors, and there seems to be little that the apartment staff can do to keep people from littering or partying during quiet hours.

I really like it here. It's safe, it's clean, it has resort like amenities, and management is super engaged and helpful. We are just 2.5 miles from the North Carolina Arboretum and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Overall experience is good. Speeding is a continuous problem. I would like to see better speed bumps or enforcement of speeding regulations. Lots of people walk the community for exercise. People should be encouraged to wear light colored/reflective clothing when walking at night.

My experience with Aventine Apartments, owned by Flournoy Property Group and parent company KAJIMA U.S.A. INC., started off promisingly enough. Upon my initial visit to the property at 1000 Aventine Dr, Arden, NC 28704, I was greeted by two friendly staff members who showed me around the complex and highlighted available apartments. The apartment I had my heart set on boasted a patio with picturesque views of the river, and I was assured that two identical units, conveniently located next to each other, would be available for move-in on March 2nd. Excited about the prospect of calling Aventine home, I proceeded to tour apartment 107, where I was given all the details including the price. Without hesitation, I signed a 7-month lease and eagerly anticipated my move-in date. However, my enthusiasm was short-lived. Just three days after signing the lease, I received a disheartening phone call informing me that the apartment I had leased was not the one I had toured. We moved into an apartment that was not properly maintained. Our bathtub has been peeling since we moved in, there was black mold everywhere including in faucets and the washing machine. Wasps constantly come through the windows to our bedroom in the summer. Maintenance is clueless about this issue and the front office has allowed the fire alarm system to beep continuously for over a week in our building and has no information for us when we call to complain. Apartment is overpriced

Nothing but praise for the apartment complex My almost 3 years has been great and happy Management is always willing to help and is always right there when needed? Missing some of the original managers and assistants that have helped me through the years but new people are always pleasant and cheerful and willing to solve issues or problems?my experience here has been nothing but joy filled? The friendships I have developed while here are priceless?some have come and gone but still keep in touch?. It is home for me? I do love it here and wouldn't be happier any where else?

I was one of the very first residents to move into the Aventine in 2014. The excellent management and maintenance have made it a pleasurable experience. The location is ideal for travel, shopping and medical appointments. The amenities are first rate and the staff are always available to work with you in a pleasant and cooperative manner. I like it here.

This is a nice apartment setup, and is quite convenient. It is off the main road, and close to stores, pharmacies and medical facilities, as well as near tourist destinations (Biltmore and Biltmore Town Square). They have good amenities, like washer/dryer in the apartment. One thing to consider here is planning the move... it is hard for a full sized moving truck to navigate without blocking traffic or parking spots, so smaller trucks or several helpers make things much more effective for everyone. If you have the choice, try to get a East facing apartment... that way you can look out over the French Broad river.

I believe this property is well managed and has been well constructed. The community seems to be a reasonable group of people. Apartment living always brings noises that are sometimes unwanted, but I have never had to call the management office for assistance.

Well kept, beautiful apartments. Maintenance staff is wonderful, always coming in a timely manner while being very efficient and courteous. Pool area is kept immaculate. Grounds are gorgeous and we just love living here!
