I think overall this is a good apartment complex to live in. There are some downsides like all the parking spots reserved on floors that people live on so lower level residents have to park on top floors. The biggest downside is how loud upstairs neighbors are and there is nothing to do about it in the middle of the night when they are stomping on the floor from 12AM-6AM

Subpar. Tight garage leading to multiple accidents. Dirty walkways. unfriendly staff. Multiple issues refused to get taken care of. I have raised several issues that have not been fixed since i moved in. I can't wait to move out of here.

Location is great the apartment being old does have issues the main elevator to my area is constantly broken the gym is outdated and most of the equipment is in rough shape. Maintenance and cleaning has been very slack to what I have been privy too.

Management has gone downhill, maintenence has gone downhill, "valet trash" only picks up when they feel like it. Tons of new buildings have gone up nearby recently, and are still mostly empty. there is no reason to move in here.

Overall Solid, have not had any issues maybe a couple days longer for maintenance than expected but other than that no issues whatsoever. I had one maintenance request that took more days than I expected that's it, very excellent neighbors and overall living situation in this community.

MAA is a responsible, organized, and communicative company that very quickly responds to maintenance requests and inquiries either at their on-site leasing office or via email. They maintain a clean property with resident standards that ensure spaces are kept clean. The on-site amenities are a great value for rent and rates are slightly cheaper than the adjacent newer buildings, though this building does not feel "old" by any means.

I have had a great experience so far living here! The staff in the office, as well as the maintenance staff is amazing and always willing to help. The apartment itself is very nice and in great condition and I could not be happier to live here

Although they have badge readers to get in garage. You are still able to enter to building easily without them. Very difficult to get a hold of maintenance for anything urgent or emergent. No dog park.

My apartment itself is lovely. However, the complex needs work. the amenities are outdated, and security is lacking. my car was broken into which has made me feel very unsafe in the parking garage. there are no security cameras on the parking garage floors, only the exit and entrances.

The building itself is awesome but management is horrible. They take no accountability for anything. I've had roaches and no heat in the middle of winter, and they basically said sorry and acted like it wasn't their problem.

This community can only be described as mediocre. Security issues, lack of cleanliness, and mediocre management make this place a very average place to live. It' cheap, just not well maintained. The location is good but they could benefit from better management practices. Additionally, the inflexibility that comes with huge corporate ownership will make it undesirable to renew or extend my lease.

Initial experience with MAA is fantastic, but for the past 6 month, it's getting worse and worse. Hallway and stair wells have pets defecate, missing packages, car incidents on sites. Especially there are so many new apartment buildings around the area, as one of the oldest building, I increasingly feel my money doesn't worth it.

Had some car break-ins, stolen cars (not the first year this has happened), and some shady activity around the building. I have had to purchase a steering wheel club just to make sure my car doesnt get stolen out of the parking garage.

Colonial Reserve is cool. The only concerns are the break ins that happened (but there have now been security implemented) and the somewhat mediocre electrical repairs. only fixed 1/3 the broken lights in my maintenance request as if they ignored the request completely

It has done nothing but go downhill for the 3 years I have lived here. The hallways and stairwells are always gross. The trash rooms overflow with garbage. The office staff has just become more angry and less helpful. Packages get stolen and cars broken into at the highest rate in South End.

Community is great . Very convenient. However , I have experienced a few maintenance issues . Furthermore, the issue have been fixed at this point . Cleanliness within the building can be a problem at times due to the community being pet friendly. Moreover , there needs to be more community engagement/ activities for residents. Nevertheless, my stay here has been good .

It's been completely serviceable. If you're looking for a place to live in a great location, you've got it. If you're looking for a true luxury apartment, look elsewhere. There are many issues that need to be addressed before MAA Reserve can truly be a place most residents can call themselves proud to live in. This is certainly not a place that cares about community and in fact feels incredibly disconnected from what their residents actually desire and care about. The staff tries their best but there's only so much they can do when the garage floods during storms, cars are stolen and broken into from the parking garage, and tow trucks are towing vehicles from within their own garage that they are registered to.

We had a great tour, and thoroughly enjoyed learning about all of the amenities and the community that MAA Reserve had to offer. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very professional and answered every question we had to offer. This place is in a great location with excellent staff and services.

It came as a surprise to me that a person who arrived, and is in the United States legally just a month ago, cannot rent an apartment without a credit score. How to do it in a month? I paid $170 to apply. As a result, I am without a rented apartment and without $170.

Affordable to be near/in city. Transit is nearby and shopping centers are walkable. There is plenty of food as well. The community is clean & secured with private keys. There's a parking garage to ensure safety as well.

This apartment complex offers all the standard amenities for a reasonable price. It is located in the South End and is close to many grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and attractions. However, the building is a little older compared to others in the South End and I did not find the office staff to be friendly, welcoming, or helpful. Make sure you do your research before touring or signing, so you know what you are getting yourself into.
