Ive been locked out of my unit because the storm door isn't fixed proper
Ive lived here four years and have had continued issues with my storm door! It supposed to have been "fixed" several times and now it doesn't have a latch. Its been "fixed" several times and the last time i called maintenance i was told user error! Ive asked for a new door and been refused! Other than that the office staff is awesome

After 1 year here I am moving. Appliances are terrible, maintenance is when they get around to it or totally ignored. Units need to be refurbished. Staff is inconsistent. Windows and door need to be sealed which they refuse to do. This causes more energy usage and discomfort. There are better options in the area.

We are extremely happy here after moving out of our 3 bedroom home. I've lived in 2 other complexes in Norman and CrownRidge by far is the best. Any time we have had any issues at all (noise, dryer went out) the management and maintenance staff have been very quick to respond and handle the situation. They are so friendly! The complex is safe and quiet and well maintained. The management does different things for the community, like providing breakfast for OU students during finals week. We live in a one bedroom and though small, it's super comfortable. We are eventually going to move to another house but if you are looking for a nice apartment, off the beaten path from campus and the traffic, this is it! Well done Melanie and staff!!!

I was happy overall with our 2+ years at Crown Ridge. The grounds were well-kept, except there were a few residents who don't clean up after dogs (but that might be hard to enforce...just sad people don't clean up as little ones like to be able to play outside). I'm surprised to read negative comments about management - I never had any problems with management and they always greeted us, asked how doing, etc, and maintenance was punctual and always fixed the problem. Great having washer/dryer in the apartment! The set up really is nice for the space it uses (open wall into the kitchen) and you get a lot of storage with the patio storage unit. We never had any problems with parking. Only downfalls I can think of are noise (I swear our upstairs neighbors threw weights down on the floor in the middle of the night..?!) and temperature control. I guess it depends which side you live on - our apartment faced north which was great for keeping cooling costs low in the summer (esp with Smart Hours) but this last cold winter really ran up our bill as the doors and windows don't keep the cold out. Rent increased yearly as I'm sure it does everywhere. Crown Ridge is a huge step up from other apartments around Norman, that's for sure!

Sharing a patio/balcony with a neighbor is a poor design. The insulation is lacking. We can hear everyone going up or downstairs every time, not to mention can hear neighbors through the joined kitchen wall. The living room area and front bedroom are well heated and cooled. Anything up the hall is not. People do not pick up after their dogs and nothing is done about it. The office staff is fine as long as you pay rent on time and don't cause trouble. Generally, living here has been ok. It does feel as if the rent is a bit high for what you get.

After referring my friend to my apartments she told me about this website. I have lived at Crowne Ridge since April 2013. We moved into a four bedroom apartment in between the sell of our home and the building of our new home finish date. I chose these apartments after careful consideration. We have not lived in apartments since our college years and now our kids are in college. I wanted a quiet, family friendly, safe, better than just clean apartment. We got all of that and more. We live in a four bedroom apartment. The staff have been more than accommodating with our transition. Even helping by agreeing to a payment arrangement just a couple of months after moving in when my father-in-law passed away. I was worried parking might be a problem since it is based on a first come first serve basis. With four cars in our household, non of us have any complaints. There is always ample parking all hours of the day. As far as maintenance, I have had only one work order on my ac not cooling. They came that day. He was nice and professional even after he realized it was the way I was working it. He showed me what I had done that was causing the breaker to flip and ever since my apartment has been as cool as I want it. The only complaint I have is that the managers in the office gave my daughter a cookie while on our way to the pool one day and now I have to battle my youngest every time we go to the pool because she thinks she should get one every time now. We have truly been more than happy with this experience and we would recommend this place to all.

I inquired after a 3 bedroom at Crown Ridge, although they didnt have anything available for me the ladies in the office (-----------------) went completely out of thier way to help me. I was provided manager names and numbers from surronding apartments and they promised to keep an eye out and let me know if they found anything and they certainly did. If the management is any indication on Crown Ridges rating I would get in as soon as possible if your lucky enough to find an openening.

BEST place to live in Norman!!! I have lived in Norman for the last 6 years and CrownRidge is by far the best place in town. I shared a one bedroom with my girlfriend and it was very spacious and comfortable. I am sad I have to leave for a job or else I would stay. After reading the comments below I was nothing but in shock. Many ratings say that the office is not helpful and are mean. Let me tell you this is not the case at all. Sari and Melanie are great. They have been nothing but helpful. The apartment itself as mentioned earlier is great. The appliances are quite new and are all a sleek black. It also includes a built in desk which was great for studying and for work. Water, trash, and sewage is included into the rent. This will save you $45 a month. Electric will run you about $60 a month during the summer. It is very efficient. The apartment also includes a nice warm interior paint and baseboards. It is also located right next to a residential area and is very quiet. It is also a 7-minute drive to OU, yes I timed it. All in all this apartment is in my opinion the best in Norman. I would recommend it to everyone.

I highly recommend CrownRidge Apartments. My apartment was very clean and well kept. All appliances are new and most certainly not falling apart. The entire complex is very well maintained and always looks nice (very clean!). Each apartment has it's own water heater and washer & dryer... definetly a plus! They are pet friendly complex as well. I really like the fact that I never have to fight for parking. There are plenty of spaces- I've ALWAYS been able to park near my apartment. The staff is professional and always pleasant. Everytime I go into the office, I'm greeted with a smile. Very helpful and informative. My move-in was a breeze! They really go above and beyond for all their tenants.

Please I mean please do not rent from here. This place is just ridiculous. For starters the security lights outside our apartment have been out for a year. The AC unit only cools down the front room and kitchen, its regularly above ninety degrees in the back of the apartment. Various amenities constantly fail such as garbage disposal, fans in the bathroom, heater, and again the AC. Our biggest problem was the washer. Late last year it started to flood are apartment. We called the maintenance people up to take care of it. They couldn't figure it out so they just left it. Second time we called they replaced something small in it and said it was fixed. It continued to flood and we told the maintenance man and he said just dry it up and we will replace it when you move. It eventually flooded the whole apartment. It took me calling the emergency line six times over three hours for them to get back to us. All they came up here and did was try and use an hvac for the first hour before they called legitimate carpet people. Long story short lazy carpet guys, staff not helpful at all during this time, and told us we wouldn't have to pay for it. Then comes today where on my door is a six hundred-fifty doll bill for damages caused by neglect on our part. I will just finish here and say please if you or anyone you know wants to live here please look somewhere else.

DON'T RENT HERE
This place is horrible. Apartment complex's should have pest control every 2-3 months, not here they didn't come at all in 11 months and when I asked them to take care of an issue they didn't and it got much worse, finally when I was moving out they addressed the pest issue. The management staff are rude, they pretend to listen to your concerns but do nothing about it. They treat children like they are a disease and the dumpsters always overflow. The maintaince didn't change my AC filter the entire time I lived there. This is not a good complex to call home. All they care about is that you pay rent.

RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX!
This complex is deceiving. They start out being helpful, but do not do anything about noise, maintenance, or riff-raff. When we moved in, we were shown a specific apartment and then rented another horrible apartment. The structure of the apartments allows you to hear anything in the other apartments. I mean everything. Although the carpets appeared clean, we soon found out that the pad was so stained as we walked on it the staines appeared left and right. When I told the management, they sent over their "carpet guy" who told me they could replace the pad, only if I moved all of my furniture. They were not willing to help move any furniture. How was their lack of maintenance now my problem? Noise issues were not the problem of the complex according to the management. We were to call the police. Hmm. Were is the community patrol we were told about. Trash left everywhere and now they rent to just everyone. It is too bad for the good families and retired families that have lived there.

Loved this place
I was a college student and had lived in two other apartment complexes before moving in here. I wish I would have known about this place before. It was perfect for me. One bedroom and one bath. Apt was very spacious and clean. Moved in without any troubles. Maintenance and the office staff was very friendly, I got along with all of them. I was sad to move out. I had to because of a job relocation, otherwise I would have stayed for as long as I could. Very quiet and safe. they keep up with the place very well. Only problem I had was that the neighbor above me was very loud and I could always hear her having sex at night. Other than that, I loved it.

Enjoyable Experience
Overall I enjoyed living at Crown Ridge. Staff is very friendly. Maintenance issues where fixed in a timely manner. Grounds where well kept excluding the dumpster. Units look nice for the price. Any issues I had with the staff where my fault so I don't blame the manager for being stern with me at times.

Don't Move in-Don't Work For them
The apartment is nice, furnished with appliances. That's the extent of the good part. The office manager is the most rudest, hateful, inconsiderate person I have ever met. The sad thing is is that she runs the place-does what she wants because ----------------- is her boss's boss. If you can put up with someone who talks to you like crap and talks about you to other residents, then this is the place for you.

Rental Review
The units are nice and clean when you move in. Appliances and washing machine and dryer are all included. Over all satisfaction with apartment is 8 out of 10. Its when you walk out the door that you really don't enjoy the place you live. Landscaping is minimal, very plain. Your porches are attached to your neighbors, so if you have a neighbor that does not respect your space, it can be rather annoying. You have no outdoor privacy to go outside and unwind. Not enough play area for children, with out them crossing the parking lot and going far from your unit to the court yard area, where they can not be supervised. Tenants aren't required to pick up after their pets. Parking is horrendous, you may never get one close to the unit you live in , which can be very aggravating if you have a small child you have to carry or groceries. The employees are generally friendly, minus the manager. The office space does not feel very welcoming to tenants.

Poor office staff
Along with everyone else who actually lived or lives here, the office staff is horrible. The new maintenance team is doin well, but the office staff is VERY RUDE and will not work with you at all! If you have to live here just put your rent in the night deposit and stay away from the workers. I also had my sterio stolen from my vehicle in the parking lot.

I wouldnt do it again.
This place is horrible. they wont fix the stuff thats broke, they charge you for stuff that you didnt break when you move out, the office staff is hateful, rude and disrespectful. They treat everyone else including staff like dirt. Their pet deposit changes per resident. They think they have the right to have other residents spy on you and come tell them what goes on at your apartment.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!
We have lived in several apartments and everything has been smooth and always have gotten our deposit back pretty close to in full. WHen we moved in the disposal was broken, the window was broken, the large bathroom tub didn't drain and this was all brought up in our walk thru and these things NEVER were fixed the entire time we lived there. In addition, we were told that because they knew we were building a home that we could break our lease for $500 when the home was completed. After we moved out they tried to peg us with $1200 in fees in addition to the $500! This place is terrible. Not to mention the master bedrooms face the parking lot that is lit up all night and you have to cover the window with multiple coverings to get any decent sleep! We could also hear EVERYTHING going on in the apartment above us.

Great place horrible staff!
I really like the way that the inside of the apartments look and I feel they are priced great for what you get. However, the office staff here do not like to work and are VERY rude. They will make a tennet wait for them to finish conversations with each other before even acknowledging that a tennet is there. They consistently make snide comments!! Honestly, its not even that they just don't have great personalities they will act like YOU work for them. They are often gone in the middle of the day with out warning and are late to open the office. Also, they never have lanscaping taken care of. There is suppose to be a water sprinking system but it never gets used. Grass was brown all summer and plants/flower bed were dead as well. The maintenance guy is a great guy however! Very friendly, seems to work hard all of time. They need more than one maintence guy though!

Comfortable!
I've lived here for the past year. It's kind of expensive, but I really liked the management here! Everyone's really nice. The apartments are stunning and the kitchen on the 2br is kind of big, so it helps! Closets are spacious. It's right on highway 9, so it's kind of far away from the rest of the town, but because of that it's quiet. There aren't any big parties here, and the loudest it gets is when the kids are playing outside. Overall comfy, friendly, pet-friendly, and relaxing. The only problem I had was that I called the management up because our window had gotten stuck open a little bit, a guy came to check it out and then said he'd be back the next week to fix it - it never got fixed. We're moving out next month and I can feel safe to say I'm really sad about it. The apts are comfortable and spacious.

sex offenders, rude staff and insufficent trash service
The trash compactor needs to be addressed by someone from the city children or anyone has access to a chute into a crushing device with the key right there. The staff is spineless and unknowledgable about everything. They also hate there jobs to the point of being downright evil to tenants. The entire complex is starting to border ------ and will only get worse with time mark my word, the key word in this sentence is (complex) which is what its becoming with the management that's in there now.

Managers SECTION 8 HOUSING
The Managers are rude and discriminatory. They profile and don't care about tenants or adhere to apartment needs. These are also section 8 apartments so, possibly this is why they don't care.
