You do not want to regret moving somewhere that you dislike you will be miserable and uncomfortable so it's best that you find the perfect fit. The first moment I saw my apartment I knew it was gonna be perfect for me and my child.

    Although I love my balacony view over Wissahickon park/Lincoln Drive, some of the emotional support pets bark all times of day and night. I respect anyone's need for ESA pet, and where do my rights begin to not have to hear a barking dog day & night?

      The Hathaway House community is a clean, safe, and peaceful place to live. The staff is cordial and responsive and the tenants are kind and considerate. The apartment I live in is spacious with great closet storage. The outdoor balcony/deck is a nice addition to the apartment. It is particularly nice during the spring and summer months. The apartment is also bathed in light.

              Apartment is very clean and staff is very welcoming. Apartment rooms are clean very spacious. The only thing is that appliances are not up to date. Bathroom are not upgraded. There's small space in bathrooms

                I have mixed feelings about this property. I used to think highly of the property but have found that there has been a decline in the management commitment to the property. There also was more a feeling of community here than when I first moved in.

                  Stay away! Don't come here!! Section 8 is also in here so expect weed smoking and rap music all dam night!! And sweets in the office is a certified loser. And let's be honest the other reviews and left by the senile residents.

                      My husband and I lived at Hathaway for many years. We moved into a senior place as my husband became more frail. I was worried what would happen to him if something happened to me. After his death in October 2024 I decided to more back because I like the diversity of the residents and the location as well as the staff.

                            I have lived here for 5 years and, for the most part, have been very satisfied. The apartment is comfortable. Maintenance requests are addressed rapidly. I have enjoyed the pool in the summers. Staff, cleaning folks and management have professional and competent.

                                I have some (2) complaints. I'll take them up when I feel more comfortable with the manager. Otherwise, we've enjoyed living here. The staff is fine. We enjoy the view. We feel quite safe and above all we have some great neighbors.

                                    Pleasant I have been here 3 years. I like that the Hathaway House is close to public transportation, SEPTA, Chestnut Hill West train. It is close to my church. Close to stores. I have a few friends that live here.

                                      I love the balcony views. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. The concierge staff and the maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful. I had some security concerns over my car being stolen from the parking lot but other than that it was a good overall experience.

                                        I have always loved the atmosphere at the Hathaway House (the staff and residents). The location is ideal to transportation, restaurants, local stores and markets. The neighborhood is for walking and performing my local errands.

                                          Very nice profile yetHard to contact the leasing office and when contacted Katy isn't the best to talk to talk to when there's is a problem or questions needed resolving or when trying to recieve information it's gets pushed to the side pretty easily . Maintenance is great , residents are friendly . Greeting guards are exceptional they seem to let go of the Good Ones or Very chooses its seems

                                            I was one of those people without heat for several weeks and despite my patience and follow up nothing happened until I called the Scully office. The same thing just happened with my A/C last month and again it took several weeks to get prepared. I had to follow up to get things moving. I may as well work for Scully. I have lived here for many years and never saw mice until last month. I reported this to the office and an exterminator came and did nothing. How do I know? I still have a mouse in my apartment. I had to put down traps. They remodeled the space on the first floor after many years, at least five years. The space that was a restaurant for decades was left empty and unused. I am sure it was mice infested and now those mice are running through the building. Perhaps some forethought could have been exercised to kill these vermin. Anyway, after many years of happiness living here, I cannot wait to vacate this place! I hate it here now! Very unfortunate! Management makes all the difference.

                                              Hathaway House used to be a nice residence. You'll notice other reviews here and elsewhere are from years ago. Since new management came in, however, it's been one problem after another. Several tenants have gone without heat during the winter while waiting for maintenance to fix it. The new security people don't know any of the rules, how things are run here, and haven't been told what they're supposed to be doing. No one properly maintains the property, and as a result, a huge tree fell and crushed half of the cars in the parking lot. One of the only two elevators has been constantly malfunctioning and out of order. My neighbor's water was out for two days. Lights are out in the stairwell that's supposed to be an emergency exit or alternative to the elevator. It's neglected and never cleaned. What used to be a nice, friendly atmosphere with tenants who socialized for years has soured with the presence of new management. I've lived here for over five years and thought I'd never leave. It felt like home. As soon as my lease is up in a few months, I'm straight up gone. I'm not the only one, and I'm not sure I'd trust any Scully Company residence after such a dramatic reversal in quality of life.

                                                I am so appreciative of the community within Hathaway House! I moved my aunt into an apartment so she could be in a residence that was friendly towards seniors and it's been great! There is a mix of professionals within the building. The security is on site 24/7. The amenities are amazing -Pool and the gym soon to come

                                                  The residents are fantastic. The majority of Hathaway House staff are wonderful and very loving individuals. The front desk guard Mr Bill, Housekeeper Teresa, previous Leasing professional Keiana, and the two Maintenance men Perry and Yvon. Awesome staff. The "Community manager" Corey, on the other hand is a piece of work. Scale of 1-10 I rate him a 4/10. There has been many changes over the past few months that I have been very displeased about. Hathaway has received all new front desk guards which we did not receive any notice from the manager, which is typical Corey. The new morning guard (Tuesday-Saturday shift) leaves the front doors to the building wide open on nice days, the building is supposed to have secured access, key fob entry ONLY. When confronted he told me Corey allowed him to do so. Which causes major safety concerns. Along with the security monitor which goes out every couple of months. As well as the blurred security cameras. We have been promised lobby renovations from Corey for years and nothing has been done except the leasing office. If there was a way we could request to get all of the old staff back that we grew to love, a better management, and better security. I would be content.
