The community location is very convenient and we like that it's surrounded by neighborhoods. The staff was very easy to work with. The apartments are new and well designed. We look forward to living there.

Mold central!
This is our second brand-new Azali property, and both have been poorly built. Mold became a major issue due to improper sealing and construction. The management tried to cover it up with paint instead of testing or remediating it properly. As a result, our 13-month-old daughter is now seriously ill. Despite our requests, they refused to move us and handled the situation recklessly, spreading mold further. They blamed us instead of taking responsibility. We pay $1,800/month for unsafe living conditions. Azali failed to protect our health or honor their commitments. We urgently need to leave this toxic environment.

Mold!
Do not move here or to any Azali property! You will get sick from MOLD and corporate will not take you seriously or help you to get to a clean safe environment. On Sunday we noticed mold growing around the side of our patio door. This is the same reason we moved out of Azali Heights. We immediately reported it to the leasing office and asked for it to be mold tested and to be moved to a new unit. Our 13 month old baby has been struggling with sinus problems and getting green goop in her eyes every morning for a while now. And she has a wheezing noise in her chest. We didn’t know where it was coming from until the mold helped us to connect the dots. So we were taking this very seriously. They refused to test the mold and said they’d be sending someone out at 9am to fix everything. We asked them to cover all of our belongings because once you agitate mold spores they spread all over through the air. We have brand new furniture that we cannot afford to replace and of course we didn’t want to get more sick because mold spores are almost impossible to get rid of. We went ahead and got a mold test ourselves which comes back in a week, however it was very clearly mold. Especially after they arrived the next day and tore down the baseboards. First off they didn’t cover anything, until the very end after we complained - then they put a small plastic cloth across one of my couches. Nothing else. They set the moldy baseboards down on my kitchen counter where we eat. (And didn’t clean it after - so if I would have been gone already we would have never known) And then all they did was spray it and paint back over everything. They were supposed to bring in all new baseboards but they did not. They were finished with the whole process in an hour or so. They were supposed to bring in an ozone machine to clean the air but then said they couldn’t because our dog was home (they told us it was okay to leave her, or I would have taken her with us - but we also had nowhere to go ourselves as we have no family nearby). We asked again if we could transfer units but were told no. We could either stay in this apartment that wasn’t remediated properly or we could move out. We do not have the means to move right now, because of course that’s costly and we don’t want to stay in a unit that is still making our daughter sick. We then went in again to express our concerns to the property manager in which she continues to tell us the mold was dirt (our downstairs neighbors have mold as well) and said she would ask corporate again to let us transfer. It is now Memorial Day weekend and we’ve heard nothing. Our daughter has gotten worse and worse to the point that she’s waking up with her eyes covered in green goop and she cannot breathe out of her nose. We have had constant headaches since they opened the moldy wall and of course she can’t tell me if she does too. But her pediatrician confirmed she is sick from the mold and gave her a prescription until we can get out of this environment (which the office knows - but still no help). We are now looking to get a hotel which we also cannot afford. For $1800, and a brand new property we should not have to be dealing with this. Avoid Azali properties like the plague. They are built terribly and corporate is extremely greedy and does not care about its tenants.

Had a horrible time getting into a unit. Office over promised move in days without being completely sure and didn't keep us updated through the process as promised. We moved into a completely different floor plan in a completely different unit that costs more due to a three week delay on our initial move in date. New apartment is missing things like shower rods, cabinets, shelves etc.

Lauren and Lily are the best. They are very knowledgeable about the complex. Lauren kept us informed about the construction progress of the floor plan we requested. The apartment is awesome, everyone here is friendly and make you feel apart of the community. Highly recommend the Alexander.
