The Maintenace team is incredible. Every request I put in is addressed within 24 hours, typically within less which is awesome! The parking garage is very convenient. The only complain I really have is that the elevators go down quite often which is annoying when you live on the top floor. Also the mailbox situate was terrible, I understand it was out of MAAs hands but it took entirely too long to fix and the post office our mail was held at was so far away and most of the time the workers would just lie and say I didn't have mail because they didn't want to look for it.

This place is horrible. Do NOT live here. The staff don't listen to the residents. The gate is broken more than it works. I tried to move units and was promised that I could then was ghosted by the staff in the front office. Mailboxes are constantly broken into. It's so close to a very loud nightclub that I can hear every word of music they play. The train is so loud it wakes me up from sleep. The gym is constantly dirty and smells of cigarette smoke. The gym equipment is broken and nobody has bothered to fix it. Save yourself the headache and don't live here.

I've really enjoyed living in this apartment complex. The neighborhood is fantastic?vibrant, lively, and a great place to be! It's a wonderful area to call home. However, I did experience one issue with the mailbox vandalism, which took almost two months to get resolved. During that time, it was quite a hassle to track down my important mail, which was frustrating. Overall, I love the community, but I hope future maintenance issues can be addressed more promptly.

I am very happy with this community. Our apartment is great and the staff are always very attentive. It's in the heart of Uptown so there are plenty of things to do nearby. The trolley goes right by which is very convenient. My only complaint is the ridiculous amount of times the fire alarm goes off.

Overall satisfied but super frustrated when gates and doors do not work properly. Currently the parking garage door does not work so one side of the gate is propped open 24/7. Defeats the purpose of a secured/gated apartment complex and one of the reasons I leased.

This MAA apartments the ofice is locate at 2815 Allen st suite 120
I wish I could add a positive review but after disappearing some stuff from my son's apartment, I only can say someone working for these apartments with access to keys stole the playstation by opening the box leaving an empty box. ATT control and box disappeared. Massage chairs and a pair of Michael Jordan shoes were exchanged putting some NIke shoes inside.

It's been amazing! The staff has made everything with my move so seamless and accommodating. Maintenance came and fixed my washer issue very quickly. I'm very happy with my experience with MAA McKinney ave so far!

Our leasing agent Christine was very professional and organized -- She knew exactly what we were looking for and was transparent the whole time. Unfortunately, the property we saw was a little more dated than we were expecting (though Christine did give us the heads up it may be). We didn't love the concrete flooring or the kitchen countertops. Also trying to find the units we were touring was difficult; Navigating the three properties was confusing and the key fob didn't work (which Christine warned us about as well).

Pros: Maintenance is super fast in responding to maintenance requests for apartments. The apartment's location is excellent with great food and shops close by. Comes with a washer and dryer Cons: Not pet friendly; if you have pets I would not recommend it. There is no dedicated pet space and from leasing office there is no plan to make one because "there is a pet park a couple blocks away and we don't have the space". The price does not match the quality. Apartments need updating as most apartments are old tiles and carpeting with old laminate countertops. There are a few apartments with wood floors. There are always issues with the key fob pads. Especially the entrance in the parking garage to get to the elevator seems to always be broken and one of the doors has been missing a handle since I moved in, near the end of September of 2022. The mail boxes are old. They leave a large opening even after closing and locking it, and anyone can get into them.

I recently moved here, community is clean and accessibility is good. Everything you need is minutes away from here. Guest parking is not available here in the building, if anyone is visiting you they have to find street parking.

I have enjoyed my time living at MAA Mckinney Ave. The staff has always been kind to me - especially the maintenance staff! Whenever I have had to call in for maintenance they are quick to respond and normally can fix a problem within hours of me submitting a request. My apartment itself has been a great, safe space for me as a young woman living in Dallas and I would recommend this building to my friends. The only downside is that the community washers and dryers do not work and maintenance on them is non-existent. This is due to them being "maintained" by a third party. But other than that the community has been great and I have really enjoyed my time living here. I also like uptown and how there are so many places in walking distance.

I enjoy living here, the neighborhood and surrounding areas are very nice. It can get loud sometimes which is why I moved up a floor. Staff are friendly and very helpful, but they need to do better walk throughs before handing out keys little details like nails and screws left all over

My experience overall has been great. The building is pretty quiet, clean, and feels very safe. Any maintenance issues have been resolved quickly. They normally come the same day-the maintenance team is great. Communication with the leasing office has been okay as well. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone moving to the area.

I do not recommend renting from this property. Maintenance issues will not be resolved in a timely manner and may never be fixed at all. I have not had a working HVAC system the entire time I've lived here despite requesting to have it fixed eight times. Smart rent technology is implemented and often has a weak connection which makes it difficult to use and unpredictable. Trash overflows into the streets and dog fecal matter covers the outdoor common areas. Pet friendly community in a good location but for the price (upwards of $1500 mo) find yourself a community that takes care of their residents needs and keeps the property clean: maintained.

Location is fantastic! Building is older, but in decent condition. Maintenance responds quickly. Currently in a very roomy, 830sf one-bedroom with a large walk-in closet and extra storage in the utility room. Overall, a good value for the rent I pay

Location could not be better and the leasing office is great depending on who you talk to. There seems to be very little insulation on doors and windows, we can hear everything happening outside, but we don't really hear other residents. The grounds as a whole are clean but our apartment was very dirty upon move-in.

The location is ideal- there are so many retail options within walking distance and downtown is just a 5 minute drive, plus it's close to the free trolley system and within walking distance to the Katy. The negatives are that the rent has been raised significantly each year, plus each resident pays $16 a month community fee and yet there is no security cameras on site and only 1 (or perhaps now 2 security guards) to service 11 different MAA sites throughout the Uptown area.

It's a good community with mostly young residents with fairly large apartments. For me the biggest pro is the location??right in the heart of uptown close to West Village, restaurants, bars, even a nice gym right downstairs. As someone in their early 20s, it's an amazing place to be!

I wish the leasing office staff would have walk me through the building and into my new apartment. I am somehow dissapointed with my move-in experience because the SmartRent Hub did not work so the access code provided wasn't working and I couldn't access to my unit until 30 min later and a long phone call.

Touring this place was super easy, the office staff were very friendly and helped every step of the way. They let me tour the unit I was interested in even though they were doing some renovations. Upon move in the apartment was clean and the process was easy.

Great place to live if you want to around a lot of bars, restaurants, and young people. Nice area to walk around and just minutes from the Katy Trail. Everyone in the building is friendly and respectful.

The neighborhood is very walkable and convenient to bars and restaurants. However, the many shootings on and around Mckinney Ave lately are concerning. The apartment staff is usually helpful and quick to respond. If you're going to live in uptown at a decent price the Post properties are your best option.

Not thrilled with the constant dog crap, piss I keep finding. Still finding black mold in my faucets and my Brita water filter. Living close to the garage I'm awaked up to 3-4 times a night with loud cars and car alarms.

There have not been a ton for community events offered while I have been here. I do blame covid for the lack of events not the complex. I do like that everyone in the front office is incredibly friendly and kind.
