Renters Beware!

The only reason this isn’t an “if I could give 0 stars I would” moment is because Kristin was so sweet! From the moment I met and toured with her, throughout email communications, and phone interaction. The property is beautiful as well and in a great location! Now! The application process. One word, awful! I provided everything they asked for PLUS a compensation statement directly from my employer. That combined with my actual pay stubs confirmed I easily met the 3x rent requirement. Unfortunately, my HR department made a payroll error that resulted in multiple checks for one pay period. Although the dates were different, the description details showed they were all for the same pay period. Even after explaining this, and my year to date income on the stubs also proving I qualify, the manager says I didn’t meet the income criteria because they “can only accept October stubs.” I’m paid biweekly, and since I applied on October 11th after being paid on the 10th, I obviously couldn’t have multiple October stubs yet. Most people paid biweekly wouldn’t! Mind you! I had already provided August and September stubs, but they STILL refused to move forward. So! I asked for my app fees back b/c had this made up “October stubs only” rule been presented in the first place I wouldn’t have wasted my time applying knowing that, as someone who is paid biweekly, I only had ONE check. Surprise, surprise! Crickets. Even sent an email to their corporate office. Still crickets. Moral of the story! If you’re thinking about applying here, save your money. Their process feels inconsistent, unclear, and like a setup to keep your application fees.
